Default Can you recommend a good book focusing on weight loss?

I am really looking into losing the weight I have to with PCOS. I know the FAQ mentions some books, but I was wondering if anyone has read any books that really focuses in on dieting with PCOS. I know a few people have mentioned "The Insulin Resistance Diet." That's great because I do have insulin resistance, but is it going to work when I have PCOS?

The underlying cause of PCOS is Insulin Resistance... so if you "fix" the Insuline Resistance by using the diet described in that book, you should also help manage your PCOS symptoms HTH

Metformin-- 200 mg
Byetta 5 pen after 30 days work to 10 pen.

I have a very agressive form of PCOS. I haved never been able to have children and we have 1 adopted son. Nothing worked for me as far a weight loss and I had gotten over a whopping 300 pounds. I have been seeing and endocrinologist and she upped my metformin from 1000 to 2000 and then added Byetta.. I have lost 45 pounds in 8 months and am keeping it off and losing more.

before I started seeing my endocrinologist, I was exercising at least 3 times a week and dieting (watching the carbs etc... )

so far this is the only thing that has worked for me. However, I have been dealing with PCOS since I was 25 and am now 38.

I have an EBook (Adobe file) of a book called "The Natural Diet Solution for PCOS and Infertility". The file is the entire book and is 490pgs. I am more than willing to send it to anyone as an attachment if you PM me your email address.
