I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was around 13 and was put on birth control. I thought that was it for me that I would never see the hope of having a family. Thank god for this site and more information than the doctor would give me.
So now that I know there is hope and that birth control won't help the causes of PCOS, should I start taking Metformin, or some form of insulin re-sensitizer, even though I'm only 17 (18 in 16 days!)?
I'm really tired of having the dark and thick arm and chin hair along with bacne so if an insulin re-sensitizer will help that, that will be amazing.
So what do you think, should i consult my doctor about Metformin?
