compl. after d&c???

I HAD A D&C THURS AND WAS WONDERING WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO WATCH FOR THAT WOULD BE BAD. I'M CRAMPING PRETTY BADLY. I THINK IT MAY BE CONSTIPATION BUT I'M NOT SURE. I STOPPED BLEEDING THE DAY AFTER AND I STARTED BLEEDING AGAIN TODAY. I'VE HAD AN EXTREMELY BAD HEADACHE FOR THE LAST 2 DAYS. THE KIND WHERE LIGHTS HURT.. PLEASE RESPOND ASAP.. MY APPT ISN'T UNTIL FRI. SO I'M TRYING TO FIND THINGS ON THE NET UNTIL THEN...

I had the bleeding and cramping, but I don't remember having a headache. I get those types of headaches with extreme stress, especially if I've been crying. I hope you feel better soon. Although your appointment isn't until Friday, I would go ahead and call the doctor just to be sure. Did you get any pain medication? I had percoset, and I definately used them (not that they are that heavy duty).

Erica- My doctor told me to watch out for fever and/or heavy bleeding (more than a pad an hour) after my d&c as that could indicate infection. what you are describing (other than the headache) sounds normal. Like debbymc said, the headache could be from stress and crying, etc but it wouldn't hurt to call the doc just to be sure. Good luck...
