Hi everyone.....i've been around the PCOSA for awhile. I haven't been active on the board in a LONG time and honestly i've just been trying to deal with all of this PCOS crap by myself. Yeah. it's not working! *laugh* I think having friends that understand what you are going through can be a wonderful thing. I was hoping that there might be some ladies in my area who are looking for friendship and support. My name is Kelly and I'm 28 years old, happily married with no children. I've been diagnosed with PCOS for about 6 years and honestly have had very little luck treating it. My weight has just kept going up and up no matter what I do (exercise, eat differently, medication, etc). Anyone us dealing with this and feel frustrated?

Anyways..just thought I would stop in and say hi to any local gals. :)

Kelly, I live in Morgan City. I know it's like 2 hours away but my mom and I go to Baton Rouge often. I'm 17... I'll be 18 next month. It helps me tremendously when I talk to people who know what I'm going through. There are still days when I feel alone but I know I'm not. If you need anything or ever want to talk to me feel free. That goes for everyone I've probably said it like a million times haha.

Hi there,

I grew up In BR, just thought I would say hello. I'm new to posting on the boards but I read them often.

We are moving to Destrehan this weekend so pretty soon I won't be so close to BR.

Anyway, I have felt the frustraction also. I'm married/34/no kids and was diagnosed at 19. Past few years my weight has had LOTS of up and downs but this last year I'm the biggest I have ever been, but I cannot only blame PCO. So I saw a trial study for Byetta on the news and went to sign up for it at Womans Hospital and today I'm on my first does of what I think is Fortamet. It's randomized, a computer decides who gets which medication.

I hope this works out and at least get me on a kickstart to a healthier, thinner life that I can maintain.

I LOVE smileys! :D
