Hi Ladies,
I'm in the process of making a documentary about PCOS. It will focus on what its like to live with this disease, and everything that goes with dealing with PCOS. There is still so many people that really have no idea about this condition, specifically what it's like to try to make your way in this world, and to do so with things like excess hair, obesity, infertility and a myriad of other symptoms that this disease can cause. My goal is to present a truthful, honest documentary that will hopefully shed more light on this often undiagnosed and misunderstood condition.
I understand how difficult discussing this condition can be (I'm 28 and relatively very few people know what I have) so I can see where one might be apprehensive about talking about what they are/have gone through. Because of this I'm going to make this with a one person crew... meaning me. I'll be asking the questions, running the camera, etc. so you don't have to worry about being embarrassed or not wanting to talk about this in front of someone who doesn't understand... Because believe me -- I understand all too well.
I'm looking for a handful of women (of all ages) to interview for this. If this is something you might be interested in, please send me an email introducing yourself and telling me a bit about your background with PCOS (also, please include your location because I would need to travel to you and as a result I need to map out where all I'd need to go). You can send the email to me at: pcosdoc@yahoo.com
Thank you! I look forward to hearing from you.
Stephanie
