I started taking Met last month and my s/es were pretty typical until about a week ago. Since I wasn't losing enough weight on 1500 mg of Met (only lost 4 pounds), I cut back on what I ate and my blood sugar dropped too low and I almost passed out.
So, I dropped the dosage of Met, upped my protein intake and watched the few pounds I lost come back. After a few days I began to increase the Met again, went through all the terrible side effects and now my main s/e is constipation and I still not losing weight since I have to eat to not be nauseous or have low blood sugar.
My doctor says I might not lose weight on it--is that possible? I don't want to quit Met without giving it a good try but I really am struggling with this and getting so frustrated. I eat low carb diet since I am IR with the PCOS.
Any advice?
