i was wondering if any of you out there have been perscribed a regular met dosage of more than the average 1500mg per day (not refering the met xr) I have always had an extremely high tollerance to any thing i have been perscribed from antibiotics to pain meds - and now after being on 1500mg of met for 6 months now w/ no response to it my doctor has suggested upping my dose to 20oo-2500mg - after researching it there is some hesitation on my end due to the possible long term side affects. I have tried the XR met and my body did not like it at all so my doc put me back on the norm. met.
