Femara??

Sorry if this is a dumb question but what is Femara? I've heard it mentioned a few times and I'm just not familiar with it. Could someone fill me in??

I took Femara Tuesday night for the first time. I started on 5 days of clomid 100mg...and didn't have much going on so the doc had me take 10, 2.5mg pills all Tuesday night.

All I know is that femara is a drug used to treat breast cancer...there's been some controversy due to a study that showed increased risk of birth defects...but the study has some holes in it, or so I've heard...my doc felt comfortable prescribing it...

So you took it with clomid? What was the reason he subscribed it to you??

I took it the day after I finished five days of clomid. He prescribed it because he felt like I wasn't responding well to the clomid, and I guess he wanted to try and save the cycle by trying something new. He said that they had had a lot of success with femara and pregnancy...

...I have my ultrasound tomorrow...I'll let you know how it goes!

Hmm very interesting. I will be remembering this if clomid doesn't work for me

well, you probably saw on the TTC or the "Follies R Us" threads how my u/s went...Can't say Femara wowed me with results...but we'll see if anything progresses at my next u/s Tuesday...
