Ok...last one girls....

I went to Walmart today to get Lucy a new swimsuit. Well it was a big ordeal. SHe wanted one with sparkles on it. The ONLY one that had that was this stupid two piece. For one..I wanted her to get a one piece. But she insisted on this one because it was sparkly on the top. Ugg...she looks too grown up. I might take it back yet.

Sarah I think I said it before, but I LOVE the dress Leata wore to the wedding. I love lacy, frilly dresses, but I think some can be too much. That one is just perfect. Leata looks like a doll in it.

I think all the team outfits are great. Nothing like being a die hard fan.

Leslie- Arianna is too cute in that hat. Leata would wear hats when she was that age but just recently she has decided to take them off when we put them on. Now that it is summer and a hat is good shade she won't leave them on.
I think that I might have said this before but my mom got that dress at the BX (Base Exchange) at Hill Air Force Base for $9 on clearance. I am so glad she found it!

Lisa, I hear you-- I am terrified of the prospect of dressing our daughter. I am amazed at the styles that are available for little girls these days...I mean, tube tops and hip huggers?! I don't want a little Spice Girl on my hands...but I'm sure that she's going to beg for all that stuff. You're right, moms of boys have it easy...

Tracy - you're little boy seems like he (or maybe it's mom & dad?) is all into the sports and outdoors? That jacket was too cute! We are big UT (University of Texas) fans so I'm sure Mason will have quite the burnt orange in his wardrobe.

Matt seems extremely outdoorsy. Part is my fault -- being a summer-baby in the south, I had him in a stroller going miles around our neighborhood at about a week old. He liked it, so we started going to the park to swing and he's just recently realized that he likes swimming (picture below). And with our new baby bike-seat, he'll be enjoying bikes soon.

The gene-part of it definitely comes from DH, though -- as he's always wanting to go somewhere or do something. I can relax on the couch, but I figure if I'm going to be a mommy to boy(s), then I better learn all of these things so I can spend alot of time with them, too. :D

I'm even thinking of learning to ride a dirt-bike with Matthew in the next few years. :shock: Yikes!!!

And, I'm the football fan. Went to TN so I'm a huge follower. Yep, Matt's got more orange in his closet than I even have!!!

Tracy - Matt is too cute. My dh LOVES sports, especially football and college ball more so. I either need to learn all about sports and play along too, or I'm going to be left out! My parents met at UT, and dad works there now. Neither dh or I went to UT, but you'd never know it by the memorabilia (sp) we have for the place. Plus we found out I was preggo the day of the Rose Bowl, so dh holds that day special for more than one reason, lol.

Thanks Sarah. Things are going well. I am still adjusting, hard adjustment from running my own foster care agency and going home to relax to being a stay at home mommy of three kids...the age range difference is hard, too. Misty wants me to play games with her, TJ is running all over the place, and Kally wants to be held 24/7....Quite a life change that we are all getting used to. They are good kids, just need some structure and consistancy. Did you manage to get to the doctor today?

I would guess that the age range would be a challenge, especially in the summer. It will take some time but you will all get things figured out together and then you won't remember what it was like without them!

I called the dr's office today and tried to leave a message but the receptionist wouldn't have it and got me the next available appt which is tomorrow at 2 pm. I think that will be ok. This is the same receptionist I had to fight last time to give me an appt before I was 8 weeks when the doctor had just transferred me to the front desk for that purpose. Sheesh. Then I miscarried and she must relaise now that I need to see him right away. So I wait until tomorrow to start pushing for the heparin.

Thanks AnnieW. I was really needing to hear some positive today. TJ was extremely rude to a teenager in church tonight, so his consequence was to go to his room after church and get ready for bed, no tv time. He threw one of the biggest temper tantrums that I have seen in a long time, and he ended up losing most of his privileges. He wasn't even crying, just screaming and kicking and demanding his batman toy back. It was sad to see....he has had no discipline in his life....so i appreciate the confidence you have in me....how are the triplets doing????

You know you are doing the perfect thing by taking his toys away when he throws a fit. He will get a hang of it before you know it-and you'll be amazed.
Honestly, we spoiled DS like anything. Well, he turned 3 and the fits started happening. He expected to get candy everytime we went to CVS, a toy everytime we went to the mall, everytime I went to ShopRite, he expected to walk a few stores down to get a toy at the Dollar Store. And a year or so ago, I would just give in, and buy him whatever. What a mistake I learned!!!! (I knew it was wrong-but I adore him so much, it was hard!) Well, now he knows. If he throws a fit, or gets angry and starts whining, right to his time out chair he goes. It is so routine-I do the counting 1,2......and we barely make it to three. He does not want to be in time out. So, it does work. And once he knows you are serious, it will all fit together.

Thanks Annie...it actually did work...yesterday, he was on his BEST behavior....He used his manners everywhere he went, followed every single direction with a yes or no ma'am....and he opened every door for me....he learned his lesson i am sure..

they were driving me crazy yesterday in walmart with question after question, so at the check out stand, i put them on question restriction for 30 minutes. The lady at the register thought that was the funniest thing she had ever heard....

and also, instead of time outs, i do time ins....i say, "you know, it looks like you need some mom time, come sit by me for so and so amount of time"...it really works.

Here's a new one from yesterday at the Hill AFB Air Show. It was lots of fun... at one point we had to retreat from the front of the crowd back to our car because of the noise hurting Justin's ears (we had earplugs for him but couldn't get them to stay in place). Once we got back to our car though he was just fine and we were parked in a nice shady spot under a snow cover so we just hung out and watched from there. This is my husband, Justin, and I hanging out at the car.

Now, 8 years later the Thunderbirds went to DS's school and I went too...nice and personal on their level. He got his picture taken with #6. Just wait until your little guy is old enough to be interested in them. It's so fun and comes so fast!

Hannah- Your boys are adorable! It looks like Kelan had a good birthday!

Terra- Leata's hair is like that in the back but it is even shorter in the front...It seems like it will never get long enough to cut it to even it out though.

Kelly- Gavin is so precious. I love all of that hair. When Leata was born she had hari but not that much and then she lost it all. She was so tiny that everyone always thought that she was only a few weeks old for the first several months. Now we still have to try and convince people that she is indeed a year old because she is tiny.

We're jealous of Piper & Gavin's hair. Matt's got a lot more than he used to have, but being blonde is sorda hard to see. He still looks relatively baldish. Needless to say, a hair appt. isn't on our to-do list for 2006!!!

I lurk over here a bit, but don't have time to read too much or get to know you girls. I'm over on the fertility board obsessing with other girls about each cycle, hopign it's my last...
On the bangs front, my first daughter got her first haircut at 13 months old. They gave her bangs, at my request. DO NOT DO THIS!!! In order to get a baby/toddler at this age bangs, they must make the line way far back....when she was 3 and up I had to grow out all those irrationally cut bangs, it look bad.
She is now 6 1/2 and we're still trying to get them evened out.

My second daughter, I just occasionally pull down a few baby hairs and trim them even. Her bang line is nice and thin. There are so many baby hairs at this young age....
Just my two cents....

Terra- Maybe take Piper to your hairdresser and get his/her opinion? It looks like Piper has hair like my niece had... thin and fine. We had to keep hers trimmed short and it looked really cute. It thickened up as she got older. Bonnie is a hairy monkey and I was French braiding her hair by her first birthday. :shock:

Annie--All of you kids are adorable! I didn't get to hear any of your ttc story--I was just curious how you got pregnant this time around? Didn't know if you did IVF or something like that. I think my DH is scared you are pg with trips from clomid. Congrats though! I think that's awesome.

IUI with Follistim/Ovidrel is what worked for me-REALLY worked if you know what i mean......... :lol:
I had no problem conceiving DS-but this time around it took almost 2 years.......................
I think everyone I talk to basically thinks-Better you than me!!!!! :lol:

How does IUI work? And it did work well for you! There is no way that I am big enough to carry trips! I'm less than 5'--I really think I would explode LOL Those are really good u/s pics. It would be awesome to do the 3d/4d to see all of them.

IUI is artificial insemination. RE gave me fertility meds to make me produce many eggs-I had four that month. Then a shot to make me ovulate. Then DH gives his "sample", and RE injects the spermies right into me in the office.
I am 5'10" and weigh a good amount. Too much. OB actually told me today that my size in this case is a good thing, because I have more room for the babies to grow. I hope so!!!!!

Annie- That is awesome- triplets!! I am from Barrington (near Haddonfield/Cherry Hill). I am staying here now with my mom until she starts feeling better. This weekend I get to go home to DH- my mom is headed to the shore with my sister. We have a house in Pedricktown. It is a little country town (no redlights or police dept) between Sweedesboro and Woodstown. Where in NJ are you from???? Where was your Dr?? We used the Fertility Institute through Jefferson Hospital in Phila.

We used to audit the municipality of Oldmans Township (which I believe is close to Pedricktown) and Pennsville (I think close, also....) I went to Rowan, graduated in 2000-which is also right in you area!!!! DH's family (who we don't talk to ) lives in Berlin.

We live in Mercerville in Mercer County, outside of Trenton. I saw a Dr. Derman @ Delaware Valley OBGYN in Lawrenceville/Princeton. He has been featured on World News T onight-which is so cool!

This picture that I took yesterday was when I was dressing Arianna. As I've said before we opted not to buy a changing table. We just us the top of her dresser with a changing pad on it. When I sat her up to put her top on she saw herself in the mirror (she's seen herself before and smiled, etc. but she's never did this). She turned facing the mirror and started kissing herself. Sounds like your vacation was nice...besides the ER visit...ER's aren't ever fun though. Unfortunatley, I'm sure that won't be your last ER visit ;)

I've done the stitches on one (DD at 2yrs old on the eyelid) and a broken arm (DS at 4yrs old)...we've had a couple other ER visits, but none quite so traumatic!

Leanna your WalMart did do a good job. The WalMart that is closest to doesn't do crap. I had Arianna's done in her baptism gown, and they were ok, but not great. Then my mom went there to have Arianna and my two nephews together, and they weren't that good either. Mom said the photographer didn't even really make an effort to try to get a good picture of them together. Oh well... hit or miss with WalMart I guess.

Thanks lisamarie. Even DH says she looks like me. I think it's just because her eyes are so dark. She definately gets that from DH. It's not that I would care if she looked like him... she just doesn't at this point. I sure do wish I had realized my bra was hangin' out before I posted that pic. Oh well, it's not like ya'll haven't seen one before. :lol:

How sweet Kelli. I just can't get over all that hair. Does he seem to be losing any of it or does it look like he's going to keep it all?

He has not lost any yet. I was wondering at what point I can assume he will keep it. I noticed that it is getting lighter and his eyebrows really got lighter. I had dark hair like that when I was born and then it got really light...I wonder if he will do the same.

Kelli -- my brother was born (Sept 10) with a ton of straight, black hair. It was about gone by Christmas and then grew back in a dark-blonde color was big curls (everyone thought he was a girl). It's so strange! Either way, he's going to be a lady-killer...so handsome :D

Aw..thanks everyone! I'm one proud mama! His eyes are green/hazel like mine! They were blue. I hope they stay hazel. DH has dark dark dark brown eyes!
