I have with PCOS for a long time now, i have close to all the symptoms. But what really bothers me the most is the weight gain. I am struggling with it for over 4 years and still gaining. I tried almost everything; plans, plans with foods, pills, and the new alli. NOTHING IS WORKING! i exercise and i eat healthy. WHY CAN't I Lose WeIght? my endo has me on Met for almost a year now, and it's not working. CAN anyone out there help me or suggest any thing? Please!

What kind of diets have you been on? My DR put me on a no carb diet, and I lost 17 pounds in three weeks and still counting (with no exercise). I won't lie, it sucked, but when I got on that scale I was so happy it didn't matter. I've been trying to lose weight for years and I just kept getting bigger. I play tennis, ride my bike, swim, workout - it didn't matter how much or little, I still gained.
It never occurred to me to go on a no carb diet until he tested me for insulin resistance and diagnosed me with PCOS. I had been to 4 endocrinologist over the years and none of them ever tested me for IR. I think this diet will save my life, my sanity, and hopefully get me pregnant!!!!
