Just got back my blood tests after six weeks on metformin 1500mgs. My testosterone is up in all categories: free, bioavailable and total. They are at their highest levels since I was diagnosed in 2000. My total testosterone has climbed 40% since the pre-metformin tests I took seven weeks ago. Free testosterone and bioavailable testosterone are both up 33 percent over seven weeks ago. Has anyone else had this happen on met? I'm going to stick with it for at least six months, but these are still discouraging results. :cry:
Background on me: 29 years old, 5'8", 130 lbs, never tested IR (My last insulin test was 2, never been above 8. Last glucose was 80, never been above 91.). Not taking any other meds.
