My Endo [which Id like to say for the record turned out to be a real jerk lol] just upped my metformin from 1 pill (500mg) to 4 pills a day.... They are big pills and I have trouble taking them but it always says take before bed so here is the thing....

I dont sleep schedule anyway so I just take them at 11 pm. Will it ruin everything if I try taking the four pills at divided hours of the day? And if your bodie natraully makes insulin wouldnt it be making it ALL day and not just once a day all together so why would you take it all at once anyways?

Also about my diet.... well not so much diet but xercise. I xercise about an hour a day I upped it to about 2 hours a day spaced out but Im not really losing anything.... My weight changings from hour to hour one minute Ill be 220 and the next 5 min later Ill be 227 and it does this all day long [and the scale is not broken] does anyone else have this problem?

I cant xercise anymore than I am now, and my diet isnt perfect but not terribly either. Can anyone think of anything Im doing wrong or reccomend? I've tried phetermine at three different times in my life, it stopped my weight gain before I knew I had PCOS but its never made me lose anything and I dont think there is anything stronger than THAT stuff lol.

Just for the record Im on yasmin which has been working great and I also just started taking valium.

Thanxxx,
S

seraphina - my doc said it didn't matter if I took my pills all at once or spread out. I take the XR (extended release) formula for met so you CAN take it all at once, but he said it didn't matter if you split it up. You can always ask your doc... but I know mine said it didn't matter. And he's not a jerk. :D

As for the weight fluctuation... why are you weighing yourself repeatedly throughout the day? Weigh yourself once, in the morning, after you've gone to the bathroom and before you've eaten or drank anything. That would be the most repeatable weight. If you still find it's fluctuating day to day... honestly, weight yourself once per week. The number on the scale is simply not that important. If you are eating healthy and working out, you're doing great. If your clothes fit comfortably... that's a much better sign than the stupid number on the stupid scale. (Can you tell I abhor the sick amount of emphasis our country puts on the number on the scale? Living a healthy lifestyle is what is important... ) If you're continuing to gain weight... (week to week, not minute to minute)... then talk with the doc about it some more.
