We finally got the autopsy today and I have to admit Im not entirely sure what alot of it means. The Dr. wasn't there today so he couldn't explain it. Which is fine because he isn't my Dr. anyways. So I think I'll fax it to my Dr. tomorrow and see what he says. I was looking alot of the terms up online though and it says there were no congenital defects which I'm thinking means that there was nothing genetic. Then for the diagnosis it says chorioamnionitis of an unspecific nature. And that from what I found means Inflammation of the amniotic membranes caused by infection. So basically I'm thinking what my doctor guessed was true and I got an undectable infection in my amniotic fluid due to the LEEP that I had and it broke through the membranes. Part of me still thinks that it was mostly due to having an incompetant cervix from the LEEP, but I will never know because the Dr. never checked.
So even though I am still very sad about what happend I guess in a way I'm relieved that so far it doesn't seem to be genetic and this hopefully wont happen again. Hopefully the antibiotics I have been on will clear everything up and make for safe keeping when we do decide to try for another little miracle.
