I just had a question regarding taking Metformin & a prescribed weight loss drug.
(Not that I am, or that I am looking for a "quick fix", I'm just curious if:
1.) They even exist
2.) They would even help
3.) Just wondering.
Thanx.

metformin isnt a quick fix really but it is the closest thing to exercise in a pill, if you work hard to diet and excercise with it, you will lose weight more easily! It does work but it requires ur help!
good luck
I'll vouch for that. I've never been able to lose weight, no matter how hard I tried, and since my doctor prescribed Met for me, it's been a hella lot easier. I've lost about two pant sizes so far, and I'm still dropping weight.

Never ever, ever, ever use weight loss drugs. They are not regulated by the FDA and they can cause TONS of problems when you are older. Just stick with the Met and avoid things like Trim Spa and Dexatrim

I've heard of weight loss pills for people which my dietician told me about. These are different to weight loss drugs and they have been using them for the treatment of obesity. I forgot the name of them though!

I wouldn't suggest taking a diet supplement with Metformin without the advice of your physician. It's too risky to just take over the counter drugs, especially if it causes any bad side effects due to drug interactions with your other meds, that you didn't know about.
