Okay - after my big speil on the other thread about TTC thoguht I'd move it to a new thread so not everyone is subjected to my cycle info!

I know TJ is TTC - anyone else?

:!: ANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD....no AF yet. Bbs are sore once in a while - nothing like AF and nothing like they were when I was PG with A (killed horribly which was a good sign of PG for me). I still have the weird cramps etc. I tested 2 days ago and BFN. I am 14dpo. usually I am 12dpo and AF shows. I can't understand how I possibly could have o-ed late. I took a OPT and got a +ve on Weds. Jan 3rd. So if I o-ed 36hrs later (worst case scenario) I am still 14DPO at worst. I had the EWCM, o pains on 1/6/06. So I just don't get it. I know we sometimes gear up to O and don't - but all my signs were there. The only thing I am wondering is if the vitex extended my LP?! Anyone have any ideas? I think I need to break down and get an EPT or something other than the cheapie internet tests.

I'll join this thread. I'm actively trying to conceive as a type this message.

Don't know what to tell you Mara... maybe take another test in a couple of days if still no AF?

I was almost positive that I ovluated last weekend. I am feeling crampy now like AF is on the way though. Very frusterating.

Not over until the fat lady sings!

Yay - we'll have a crew here to discuss TTC stuff!! I am sooo excited! I felt weird joining the TTC threads because generally most of the women don't have a little baby at home and many may think I'm just stepping on toes. Don't want to appear like an ungrateful ***** - but I am ready for #2! And to think at one point years gone back I was saying "Just one is all I will ever ask for!".

Yay for starting this thread! I know what you mean about the TTC board. I don't want to step on any toes either. Off to get my sassy daughter!

Eating trans fats may increase infertility risk
Hydrogenated oils hinder cell receptor tied to fertility, study finds
Reuters
Updated: 9:03 p.m. ET Jan 18, 2007
NEW YORK - Women who want to get pregnant may want to stay away from fast food french fries not just to avoid putting on some extra pounds, a new study shows.

The more trans fats a woman eats, the more likely she is to be infertile, Dr. Jorge E. Chavarro of the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston and colleagues found.

Trans fats are found in fried foods, packaged snacks, commercial baked goods and other sources, and are known to increase the risk of heart disease and diabetes. "Even for somebody who's not trying to get pregnant, it is a very good idea to stay away from them," Chavarro told Reuters Health.

Trans fats can interfere with the activity of a cell receptor involved in inflammation, glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity, Chavarro and his team note in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Drugs that activate the receptor have been shown to improve fertility in women with a condition known as polycystic ovary syndrome.

To investigate how trans fat consumption might affect fertility, the researchers analyzed data from 18,555 healthy women participating in the Nurses' Health Study. All were married and trying to get pregnant between 1991 and 1999.

For every 2 percent increase in the amount of calories a woman got from trans fats instead of carbohydrates, the researchers found, her risk of infertility increased by 73 percent. The risk rose by 79 percent for every 2 percent of energy in trans fats if they replaced omega-6 polyunsaturated fats. And for every 2 percent of calories derived from trans fats instead of monounsaturated fats, the risk of infertility more than doubled.

For a woman eating 1,800 calories a day, 2 percent of energy intake in trans fats equals 4 grams, Chavarro noted. "It's not very hard to get 4 grams of trans fatty acids every day," he said. "It's really a small amount of trans fatty acids that we observe having a significant effect on infertility."

The Food and Drug Administration now requires manufacturers to state on their label if a food contains a half gram of trans fat per serving or more, Chavarro noted, but foods with less than a half gram are allowed to claim that they have zero grams of trans fat. To cut trans fats out of the diet completely, he added, people should avoid all foods that list hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils in their ingredients.

Funny - when I got healthy - I got PG after 5 years of TTC! :?

Leanna- I have been know to flip through a coulple of magazines or watch t.v. during the BD, but this is a new one, even for me  ...LOL

I would so love to join this thread! Mara this is a good idea. Unfortuntly, my dh wants to wait till Tyler is two to try for #2 . Or I made the deal with him that if I got down to 200 lbs that we could start trying, but of course he knew that was a long shot...stupid brownies!!

I know it's really early but we are actively trying as well. Not one meds or anything just natural. I've been getting AF every month now every 30 days. I haven't gone as far as buying an OPK but I know before I was O day 19 but that was when I had to take provera to get AF. Well, we have DTD every other day since day 12... LOL! DH is loving this. I hope to get PG by next Jan, if not I will have to go to school for my career. Then I will have to wait 2 yrs before actively TTC again. Cross your fingers!!!

Leanna
01-20-2007, 09:51 AM
Hope this is your month Melanie!

Mara- That's interesting about the trans fats. Makes sense that they couldn't possibly help fertility issues. We rarely have anything with them, and when we do, Bonnie lets us know it's not a good idea.

Ugg I feel crampy again today. Stupid body!!

Leanna
01-21-2007, 06:07 PM
Mara- AF still a no-show?

Melanie- That's great that your cycles have been so regular. When's your testing day?

I'll test on Saturday if no AF by then. Still feel slightly crampy, but usually with AF I only cramp the day before or at the most 2 days before she arrives.

I don't really know I've been bad about keeping track. I'm really going to start next month if I don't get PG this month but I will test the 1st. That's like the day AF should show... but who knows.... lol, like I said... I'm really bad at keeping track. Last time the drs did it for me.. LOL

Mara what CD is this for you again? (Not TTC, just curious/nosy!)

mara232
01-22-2007, 09:58 AM
cd38 and 18DPO - worst case 16DPO. We bd-ed on cd 19, thought O was on cd20 - or possibly even cd21 (maaaaybe cd22 but doubt it). I dont feel PG but not really AF-y either right now. I have no PG symptoms and don't think I am PG. I based O on an OPK that gave me a positive on cd19 meaning O in 12-36hrs.

Anyway - all I can think of is that I geared up to O and didn't o until later. Or didn't o at all. About 7dpo I had what I thoguht were crazy AF pains and felt like AF had started but nothing. I keep taking the cheap HPT's and nothing - I really don't want to waste $$ on a good test if I am not sure, KWIM?

That was more info that Sherri asked!

Me too! I'm here! I'm happy for this thread too. I don't want the other ladies to feel like we don't want to be there...but I did feel bad because I already have a baby...I'll probably post both places.

Hi everyone! Here's the thing I like best about this thread...I think this is the only place I fit in because everyone in the "real world" (I shouldn't say everyone) thinks I'm crazy for ttcing already...well, they ask when we're gonna try again and I answer honestly :) Anyway...here you guys understand.

I got AF the other day. My cycle was 34 days. My second AF since I had Ty...so my first full cycle. My boobs didn't get sore after Oing, so that's strange. I'm assuming I O'd, but who knows. Last time, my cycles were anywhere between 28 and 34 days...so, looks similar.

Of course, I was totally convinced I was pg...I was daydreaming about baby #2's due date being 3 days before Ty's 1st bday...Ha! And- all that goes along with that...welcome to the rollar coaster.

DH and I were talking last night that when we're done having kids (ok, when he's done having kids)...he's getting a vasectomy. Not like we're worried about accidently getting pg, but I can't live my life wondering every month I'm late, if I'm pregnant and then being excited and then sad. I could have been saying this in a moment of weakness after getting AF, but seriously...then there would be no wondering. He wants only 2 and I want 4-5...I think I might have to give in on this one...I don't want to have to convince someone to have more kids. Secretly (or not so secretly) hoping for twins...hee hee.

Go COLTS!

Mara- Gotta love trying to guess what's going on with our PCOS bodies. With Bonnie, it had been months since I had a period before I got pregnant with her... I was probably on cycle day 60 or something. I lost 30 pounds before I got pregnant with Jack... I know losing some weight now could only help with TTC this time too. I think I am going to set up a place in the basement for me to use the treadmill. After I get AF I will join the weightloss thread!

Jacque- Welcome! My DH used to say "only two kids" until we had Jack. Now we are in agreement to keep on having them. I don't think PCOS is going to let me have like 8 or anything, but I can see us with 2 or 3 more.

Medic- Are your docs and stuff ok with you doing such agressive dieting while TTC? That's awesome that you broke the 20 pound mark.

Well no cramps or anything AF-y today. What's the earliest I can test? 5 days before expected period?

Sherri – Just don’t think I am PG. I took the cheapie internet tests and they were negative – so I am doubting it. Not like we did a heck of a lot of BD-ing. With A I had no clue I was PG until 6 weeks when I decided to take a test. You know how it goes..POAS and ge tAF the next day..hehe

Leanna
01-23-2007, 09:06 AM
LOL Mara I feel like you too! I am 11 DPO if I am right about when I Oed. Today I feel AFy again. It's wierd. PCOS SUCKS!!!! If I were you I would have POAS about 10 times by now though. ;)

Mara, I hear ya! PCOS does make it harder to figure out what's going on. Good luck!

mara232
01-23-2007, 10:20 AM
My only clue with A was I was a regular 28 day cycle for years and then boom - I had a 40day cycle and was wondering - what the heck is going on now. So that made me test. I am so cheap - I don't want to waste the $12!! I have had very weird cycles since I had him averaging out about 35-40 days.

mara232
01-23-2007, 10:22 AM
AND I know these weird cycles are from being F-A-T!! I need to lose 16.5 more lbs to get to where I was when I got PG with him - so it is definately motivation!!!

01-23-2007, 10:24 AM
OMG...i am glad i am not the only one who is too cheap to POAS repeatedly at $12-15 a piece...i do the cheap test tooo but i dont trust them as much....i will test the first time on Sat. and if BFN then i will wait til like next Wed. to retest if no AF

I wish I could join you, but I'm still breast feeding and have not had AF yet. Is anyone ttc and bfeeding? We are ready for another one asap. Jacque, I don't think you're crazy.

Leanna
01-23-2007, 02:17 PM
Kim- I'm breastfeeding and TTC. I started having AFs back when Jack was about 3 months old I think. Remember you ovulate before your first AF so you could be fertile and not know it. Welcome to the thread!!

LOL, this thread is great! Who else would understand better? I'm Bfing and TTC also. If you get AF does it mean for sure that your O'd or not?? I'm just wondering cause I never O'd on my own before but with AF being so regular I really hope I am. Now my AF started the 1st so that would put me at CD23. Can I test now or is too early? I don't think I'm supposed to get AF till the 1st of next month or maybe the 31st. I don't feel any different but then again I never do. When I would get AF on Provera I would get crampy and sore BBs but not now that they come naturally. Also, when I was pg with Dylan I got really sore BBs. Will that be the same? Even if I'm BFing? And will the milk stop or can I keep BFing? Sorry, I'm so dumb.. I just don't know any of these answers. I never really asked much ?'s the first time around. I didn't even keep track. I just did what the DRs said... Anyway.. Thanks in advance.

Mara - I'm sorry if you aren't PG but I'm really routing for you! You still ahve a chance! ***Baby Dust***

Jacque - You and DH sounds just like us. I want 4 DH wants 2. Thena vasectomy... lol, but who knows right... Since I haveto have C-sec maybe I should just get the tubal when we are for sure done. DH really says it all depends on finances. So maybe I will get my 4! LOL, I hope I hope!

N-E-HOO.... GOOD LUCK ALL YOU TTC MOMMIES!!!!

mara232
01-23-2007, 03:22 PM
If my MIL stays thenight - I am going to go and buy a HPT. DH has work at the apartment building tonight so I am on my own with A and I don't feel like taking him out when he is sick. If I get the test - I will maybe test in the am if I still feel this way. :P

elsie
01-23-2007, 03:46 PM
Good luck Mara!!

Melanie == symptoms are different for everyone, and different for every pg. Some people are perfectly fine bfing while pg, others have a precipitous drop in supply. Af doesn't mean o necessarily ... but regular cycles of any kind are a good sign.

Kim == like Leanna said, a pg could sneak up on you! Long before I was dx'd a friend of mine w/pcos had a surprise pg#2 with no af to warn her. And I bf exclusively (never even pumped) and had af 28 days after both boys. So be careful if you're not ready!

Leanna == good luck to you too honey, whether you go for the pricey test or not!

Dh had a vasectomy after ds2 was born. He was the better candidate to do it cause it was an outpatient procedure and a lot cheaper/less complicated than a tubal. The urologist who did it was very cautious and probing (cough, so to speak) about dh's reasons and I know some people's dh's have had to get signed consent forms from both spouses to have it done.

mara232
01-24-2007, 09:14 AM
I didn't test. I felt like AF started - went to the bathroom and NOTHING.

I don't feel like I did with A when I was PG. I really need to buy a test tonight. :? I almost wish I am not PG because I am doing so well losing weight. And if I wait a month or two I can be done to my pre-pg weight (16lbs away) and that would be sooo much better! And who am I kidding? I can't even handle this one!! :?

Leanna
01-24-2007, 09:21 AM
Mara- I forgot to buy a test myself. I don't really "feel" like I'm knocked up, but would still be early yet if I am.

Melanie- If you are nursing when you become pregnant, you probably will NOT have the sore bbs you had with Dylan.

I had a wierd dream last night about going to the OB/GYN and him finding a lump in one of my breasts. I don't usually give much thought to dreams but honestly I rarely have anything but happy flowery dreams so it wierded me out a bit.

01-24-2007, 10:54 AM
DH thinks I'm pregnant now. I am going to get one of the early tests before I pick up my niece at noon. She's coming here to prune grapes for a couple of hours before I get Bonnie. I'll be able to take the test this afternoon.

Mara do you only test with first urine of the day? I know I didn't with Jack or Bonnie but they weren't early tests either. Don't want to waste the money. What should I do?????????????

Kim
01-24-2007, 11:02 AM
Mara, now I'm getting excited for you.

Leanna, I love hearing about your housework updates. You remind me of myself. I can only handle about 10 minutes a day. :)

It's good to hear that it is possible to get pg while bfeeding. My doctor told me today at my annual that since I'm not having a period and bfeeding, my chances of getting pg are about like if I was on birth control. Needless to say I'm not going to let myself obsess over it right now. Maybe after we move in June and get settled I'll look into a specialist in that area. I'll keep checking in on you all, though. baby dust!

mara232
01-24-2007, 11:10 AM
Me too Kim!

Leanna - no I usually do not feel like this with AF. It is sore bbs a few days after O and then they stop and a few days later I get AF. I only really get cramps the day AF starts. I have been having weird cramps since 1/13/06. I thoguht for sure AF started that day - I felt wet all day too and nothing. And then that feeling has been off and on. It is deifnately a weird cycle if I am not PG. As for the test - you could hold your pee for 3 hours but morning pee is best - highest concentration of HCG. If it is negative it still may be too ealry. How many DPO are you?

Leanna
01-24-2007, 11:17 AM
Mara- I have limited math skills, but I expect AF on Saturday, so that would make me 11 DPO? I swear I thought I typed 11 DPO yesterday, or even the day before. My life is one big brain fart these days.

Kim- I think the average free pass with BFing is six months, but I was way below that average and some women don't resume periods for months after they quit. If he suddenly starts sleeping through the night or there is some other sudden change in his eating habits your body might start cycling again earlier.

Ok I am going to take a shower and go buy a test. Mara you definitely need to test again! Non of those cheapo internet tests, missy!

You ladies are making me double think about re-testing! I have an extra test in my bathroom that I'm too chicken to take. I took one on the 7th (it wasn't first morning urine), but it was a BFN and I still haven't seen AF. I must be on CD 45 or something like that. Since having Esteban my cycles have been between 40-42 days. I've had sore BB's on and off, some nausea, and gassy (sorry TMI). But I just keep telling myself that it's my PCOS playing tricks on my body. We are not actively TTC right now, but we are not preventing it either. We do want another baby, so if it happens (or already happened) we will be happy. Maybe I'll give myself a couple of more days before I break down and test again. It's weird, but I don't want to see another BFN.......I guess after getting so many when TTC #1, I'm just afraid of seeing more. Sorry for my rambling!!!

Leanna, keep us posted!

Glad Mara and I can provide you with amusement, Sherri. ;)

Aleida- Exciting possibility for you!!

Ok I bought my tests... was a three pack. Let me just say I felt really wierd carrying my baby while buying pregnancy tests. And I ran into my sixth grade teacher to boot. I just kind of held the box under Jack's blanket while I talked to her and hoped the people who worked there didn't think I was trying to steal it or something. I need to pee but it's been about 1.5 hours so I am going to try to hold it a little longer. I'll probably test in about 1/2 hour if I can wait.

And Aleida, I know what you mean about not wanting to see a BFN!! It's worse than not knowing. :(

11dpo you might still be able to get a +ve.

Karen - I wanted to ask you about not getting a posiitive with hannah - what happened there?

First pregnancy was a miscarriage. With Hannah we were told we'd never have kids so I never tested until my friend bugged the $hit out of me about it was mid day and I was already 8 weeks. This time we were not TTC on a break no clomid to speak of only 3 days erratic and wasn't feeling right thought it was because we were without power and eating out. Hubby is the one that said I was so irritable I must be preg and I was.

Wow - I hope I have good luck like Leanna tonight!! :D

Leanna

I'll take another in the morning with first urine... could be why it's faint today? Or because it's early? I've never had a faint one like this, a line is a line though, right???

OMG just tried to call DH but he can't come to the phone right now.

My scanner is not all set up with the new computer. :( Or I would definitly send to you guys!!!! I can't believe it.

Mara- You're next!!!!!!!! Only symptom I've had is exhaustion but I think that's from Jack. DH thought I was pregnant because he knew we nailed it as far as DTD around the EWCM part of my cycle. He knew with Jack before I even took the test.

mara232
01-24-2007, 01:41 PM

Ok I need to obsess... who had a really faint second line and ended up definitely pregnant?? Mara, it was the FRE test.

mara232
01-24-2007, 01:48 PM
My sister. She had a miscarriage the cycle before and was going NUTS-O for 2 weeks. You need morning pee for a dark line.

mara232
01-24-2007, 01:49 PM
She had a light the cycle after her miscarriage and was actually PG with my niece. She was worried that it was light it was a negative or an impending miscarriage.

Search "light positive with FRE" on google - you will get lost of success stories. I just lknow because I went through it with my sister.

Leanna
01-24-2007, 01:52 PM
Thanks Mara, looking now!!! Really want to tell DH. With Jack I called him at work, told him, and he was like "Duh didn't you know? I did."

mara232
01-24-2007, 01:55 PM
Just emailed my sis:

Did you get a light line on FRE - my PCOS buddy has a pretty light line - I cant remember...

My line was very very light with Ivie....dark with the m/c. Don't you remember i was worried that i was mc'ing with Ivie because the test was light. Even at 6 weeks I took a test and it was VERY light. Almost non-existant

Ivie - is my niece born 5 days after Anthony!

Leanna - you could go post a question on the PG board if it would make you feel better. i bet there are a bunch of early testers with light lines. 11dpo is early. And a lot of women implant later than the standard 7dpo.

Leanna
01-24-2007, 02:09 PM
Good point! I think I shall.

Kim
01-24-2007, 02:13 PM
Leanna, my line was very faint - DH didn't even believe it was positive, but I knew it was. I had a clear blue digital (or something like that) that I did right after the first test and it showed me what I wanted to see "pregnant". There's no denying that. Maybe you should try a digital test.

hey mamas! just wanted to say hello and that i'm sorry for not logging in lately! i 've been sooo busy with works andthe twins! but i promise to try to keep in touch more. how is everyone?

gavin and emily are getting so big! QUICK! they just made 6 months last week. and we've been blessed, knock on wood, with no sickness yet! i hope it stays that way for a long time. dh and i even fussed at a mother at the drs office when her sick little boy tried to come by the babys he was sick and coughing everywhere. he went straight to another baby in there and started playing with the toys on the carrier. the mother didn't have enough sense i guess to tell him to get away. and not touch her stuff. we hated to be rude but my good lady! control your kid!

i have been looking at the pictures from time to time.....everyones babys are sooo cute!

oh and to see updated pictures of the twins go to

Mara- Thank you! I keep going back and looking at it again. I can't believe this.

Go grab a digital test no worries if there are two lines says pregnant/not pregnant plus they are sensitive so won't matter if you use middle of day or low dpo. Also make sure not to drink any liquids wait two hours and then use that urine it will make it that much more accurate.

Ladies -- a girlfriend I go to church with didn't get any line for a few weeks past her period-start date. She couldn't figure out what was wrong and it turned out to be a pregnancy (finally was able to confirm by a blood test). She ended up with twin baby boys!!

Sorry, I don't know the specifics -- but just wanted to chime in with a success story. Baby dust...

01-24-2007, 03:34 PM
My line was very faint with DS...I think I tested at about the earliest you possibly can and got an extremely faint line...It darkened over time (I let it sit for like 10 minutes after I saw the faintest of faint lines) and then tested again 2 days later and it was still really faint, but darker than the first. It seemed like forever before it became dark enough to convince me that I really was pregnant and should call the doctor.

01-25-2007, 08:43 AM
Thansk Sherri. I am getting better with the outcome. I think it was a bit pretencious (wow spelling) to think I could easily get so PG when it took me FIVE yes FIVE years to conceive Anthony. Cycles upon cycles of clomid and IUI's and god know what tests. He was my miracle baby. My Jackpot. I guess it is ridiculous to think you can win the Lotto twice! :) I just thought that since we had him naturally with one time BD the entire cycle (DH has bad MFI) that it might just happen again. :?

Mara we tried for over 10 years being told we'd never have kids and got pregnant with Hannah HUGE shock. When we tried for a second we found out about the PCOS and we have MFI also but not horrid but not good. We were on clomid and follicle scans and IUI once all negs. Aleida and Mara - Sorry on the BFN ladies! There is always next month. hang in there and stay strong.

Jacque - Where did you get the cow car seat? Dylan's room and life is farm themed so I would love to get it when he's big enough.

Nothing new here, just waiting for AF or not. What is the earliest CD that you can test?

mara232
01-26-2007, 08:16 AM
Melanie - usually 12 or 14dpo to be sure. So ount that many days past ovulation. Lucky for me i suually get AF at 12dpo so I know if I did not get a BFP by 12dpo it's over. But I have not been testing in YEARS!

I have no clue what is going on with my body - still no AF but all the signs for well over a week and a half now.

Leanna
01-26-2007, 09:05 AM
Melanie- I tested at 10 DPO and got my positive, but I thought I was 11 DPO, and I don't think I would have tested that early if Lisa hadn't GOADED me into it. ;) Feels really wierd to me knowing so early. I don't want to tell everybody yet. I don't even really want to call the doc. "Yeah I haven't even missed my period yet but I've taken two pregnancy tests." I feel like the sperm are still swimming around in there, you know?

Lisa- You sure do spend a lot of time on the TTC thread. You fit in very nicely here, I might add.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee- You can definitely conceive while nursing!

once again LEANNA...YAY i am soooo happy for you...i am not testing til Monday...(14 DPO) cause i have a UTI/possible kidney stone and am taking meds and uristat that can interfere with the tests and i SOOOO dont wanna get a BFN...the only S&S i have been having is periodic nausea and what they called a "triphasic" pattern on my BBT chart??? i'm not real sure about what this means but i took their word for it...i havent told DH anything so he isnt even expecting anything (which is his usual demeanor since we've been trying for almost 2 years now)....so i am still in the waiting game...no AF cramps or S&S, so i guess thats a good sign  i am so sick of this i just want it to happen...this has been one of the longest cycles since starting to TTC in May 2005

Melanie- It's a Britax Marathon convertable seat...it's at Target, BRU, etc...pretty much everywhere. I ordered it from AlbeeBaby http://www.specialtybaby.com/ It had no sales tax or shipping...it's expensive, but it's the only conv. car seat that goes up to 65 lbs...that I could find.

01-26-2007, 10:57 AM
I don't agree Red. I don't feel comfy with a convertable for a newborn. You can find Britax on sale. Go to www.froogle.com and search you can find one usually for $150-160 with free shipping It may not be the cutest pattern. In Canada A Britax Marathon is $400! Which is why we went with the Eddie Bauer (a steal at $240  ) i wish we did the Britax though. BIL in Ohio found them on line for $160. keep looking - they come up all the time.

BTW - I an't use an American car seat has to be one for Canada since we have different laws/limits. AND if you get pulled over the cops do look to see if it is a Canadian carseat.

mara232
01-26-2007, 10:58 AM
Red - you are going to get a lot of mileage with the 35lbs. What is the length limit? A is still only 21.5lbs at 1 year old.

LEanna...i am 14dpo on Monday...that would make us like 1 day apart in due dates...have you looke dup your due date yet? it should be like October 7th or 8th, 2007!!!!!!!!!!

Leanna
01-26-2007, 11:17 AM
I came up with the 6th, but I have to monkey around and make up the date of my last period since I ovulated late in my cycle. Also I am not good at math. I prefer "early October." Our school cutoff is Oct 1 here, so just a few days early could mean a whole grade ahead.

That would be great to be pregnant at the same time!

Ok....Im NOT ttc..BUT I have a question. lol

I am cramping today..kinda like af...today is cd 15 or 16. Do you cramp like this during ovulation?

Im not gonna boink just in case. BUt when would be an alright to boink and not worry about it. Not that I am actually ovulating...but just to be safe. And we arent gonna use a monkey jacket so dont advise that. hehe

Ok so I was reading that Leanna was pregnant on the main thread and just now found out where she posted it!
CONGRATS!
And I can tell you that if you got knocked up on Jan 14th your due date is Oct 6th! That is the same day I got preggo with Piper..1/14/04   and she was born on the 8th. That's so exciting! We are almost ready to start ttc again. Hopefully in March or April!

Jacque--Piper has the zebra print Britax! I bought it online though. Love it!

LMAO Lisa! I would say check for EWCM. Are you one of those "condoms don't feel good" people? How does pushing a nine pound baby out your suzie feel? ;) Just kidding. Well sort of. I had DH talked into the name Tess if Jack had been a girl, but barely. I think it's out now. :(

Terra- Thank you!!! We are very excited. Starting to sink in!

Off to lunch and then the store. Bye!

Don't do it Lisa. I thought I o-ed on 1/5/07 due to EWCM and o pains (in my ovary region) on 1/6/07 so i was sure I o-ed. I had major AF pains and wet feelings on 1/13/07 and 1/14/07. I though it was implantation. knowing that today I got my pre-Af migraine Af will be here tomorrow. as well as the fact that my LP is 12 days long - THIS means the pain (same as you mentioned) was actually ovulation. I had very very light EWCM (not as much as on 1/5/07) but read you can have it when PG and never thought about it.

I hope that all made sense. So yes - those pains might mean you are ovulating.

texas- I know they're expensive, but I got so much free stuff for Ty and I just wanted the safest seat...I got all his bedroom furniture free and his travel system...so, you know (I got it used from friends)? I actually got 3 car seats...the Evenflow Titan for $125 for his grandma's car (our day care), a Britax Marathon that was plain brown for DH's car, and a cow print Marathon for me. Grandma is paying for hers and my mom is buying Keith's for a Christmas gift, so we ended up paying for mine...it was still hard to spend that much, but I rationalized it because we saved so much on everything else...you could watch ebay too. The Titan was also one of the best buys according to consumer reports. Oh I also rationalized it because he can use it up to 65 lbs. instead of 40. So, I'm not trying to convince you...I'm just the queen of rationalization...if anyone ever needs to rationalize something to feel better...just let me know

Terra- I got mine online too, but everywhere that I could find that day with the zebra was out of stock..bummer!

I can't focus at work today...

Lisa M...you're gonna do it, aren't you?

01-26-2007, 12:41 PM
By the way...Ty has officially grown out of his infant seat now and he's only 4 months old...

only 1 more week before OVULATION WEEK!!!! I hope I get pregnant...I hope I get pregnant....I hope I get pregnant...

Lisa M...you're gonna do it, aren't you?

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!! Jacque you crack me up! I dont want to be preggers yet! LOL! Im really trying to avoid it. I know dh is wanting some...so you think I will be safe by sunday?

I wouldnt mind a baby right now. BUT if we were to get a house I need to be alright to do alot of stuff and I know I will be too tired or sick if I got preggers. Plus painting and lifting and stuff. I really am tryin to avoid it.

9 times out of 10 I wouldnt get preggers anyways..but I just want to make sure. lol

Thanks Mara. So this af tpe feeling could be ovulation? Which you can have ovulation but no egg right?

Ok- my last post about car seats...I'm sure everyone is sick of it..

Red- Check this out. This is the Marathon I bought DH...it's on sale for $209 and there isn't tax or shipping...so it's really not that much more than any of the other good convertable ones. http://www.specialtybaby.com/br20macocars9.html

LM - I think you are ovulating esp since you had a good cycle last month (30-ish days??). I think it can feel like AF I know now why my AF was late (probably due today/tomorrow). I had those same pains 12 days ago - my LP is usually 12 days long and AF starts always 12 days after O. DO NOT HAVE SEX if you dont want to be preggers. Not even on Sunday. Do something else for him if you must.

Ooooh. So glad I found this thread.

Anyway, This my first real cycle w meds this time around, and I don't know what it is but I feel like more anxious and impatient this time around than w #1. And I don't feel like I'm handling the drugs as well, I just don't feel well. Maybe it's because I'm not working and I am less distracted.

Good luck and I hope we can all have big families if we want them!

Thanks for the chant Prinny!

I went to a wedding this weekend and I wasn't drinking much because every time I tried to have a drink my stomach starting hurting...won't go into detail, but let's just say thanks Met...anyway...the food was making me want to puke and everyone kept asking me why I wasn't drinking/dancing...instead of going into my life story about Met/PCOS I just said my stomach wasn't feeling right...I got about 12 "Maybe you're pregnants, etc!" Fun way to spend the evening considering I just finished AF the night before...I guess people think now that I've had one those comments are fun??????? Anyway...had a good time and I was the lucky one the next day when I felt fine and DH didn't. :)

Oh yeah...Ty figured out he has a voice this weekend...it's pretty darn cute how he's been experimenting. I leave for my first weekend away from him (we've had nights, but not a whole weekend) and I come back and he's all grown up :)

Wow - totally weird AF. I bet the herbs (vitex) screwed me up. I have had light bleeding up until yesterday. Today is cd4. Bright red blood, no dark and no clots and amazingly NO cramps. At all!? How weird is that.

Anyway - I am hoping this tiny bit of weightloos helps me get regular! Only 15lbs to pre-pg weight - I was 28, 29 days then!!

i'm sorry i'm just really scared all of the sudden...but i promise i will test Friday...cause if i am not then i am going to get VERY VERY drunk that night and if i am then i will toast my apple juice while all of my friends toast my BFP!!...i just dont want to think that when all of this stuff pointed JUST right this month that i might still not be PG...i can rationalize the BFN from the UTI and testing early but between the perfect O and the BD timing and the triphasic temp rise....i just dont know what to think and i am just about to my done point with TTC...
