Hi,
I'm currently residing in Israel and running low on my medication. I've gone to a OBGYN here and he said that in Israel my medications (Metformin 1000mg and Ortho TRI cyclen) are not available. He gave me a perscription for Metformin 850 mg and mercilon instead. I have no other reliable doctors to ask as of right now. Any one know if mercilon is good for PCOS? Should I ask for a different perscription?
Would I be able to order the ones I'm used to via mail order and have them without trouble? Anyone know?
Thanks

PLEASE email me if you have any helpful info.

bastar,

You can check out the benefits of Mercilon at http://www.mercilon.com.my/

To me, it sounds like it is about the same as Ortho Tri-Cyclen. I am currently taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo but am switching to Yaz Tuesday thanks to Erkle. If you want to know more about Yaz, go here:

www.yaz-us.com/front It seems to be a better pill for women with PCOS in my opinion and just from reading the info on it. I have NEVER taken it so I don't know. Different birth control pills work differently on different women.

OK I'm a little confused...you are currently residing in Israel so where were you residing when you were prescribed Ortho Tri-Cyclen and Metformin? I don't know of any other way to get Metformin or Ortho Tri-Cyclen without a prescription. The doctor you were seeing before moving to Israel will not want to prescribe Met or Ortho to you since he cannot monitor you on the medication, thereby making it impossible to receive those medications via mail.
