Hey ladies!
I haven't really put much thought into my birth plan a girlfriend just told me hers and it is soooooo specific (something I am NOT interested in).
I wondered what you have included in your birth plan?

I had a specific birth plan that sounded good, but I think I may have done it just to give myself something to do to keep me busy while waiting to have the baby. I never even printed it out. The only thing that I stuck with that was on the plan was having my cord blood donated and getting the epidural. I found it more useful to look at to imagine how things would go, but when it really got down to it things just happened and fell into place.
Sorry I am not much help.

I've begun to think about mine. I don't really have much of a plan. I really trust the doctor's and nurse's to know what is best. I am high risk so I know my birth won't be "average". I want an epidural. I have miscarried at home by myself having tylenol w/codeine and I know how incredibly painful that was. I know my body and I don't handle pain well. Plus I know they might induce me early because of GD and HBP. I've also been told to be prepared for a c-section. That is really the last thing I want, but since they are worried he might be a big baby and I might have pre-e, I just figure I want him here safe and sound and I don't care what that means in terms of his "birth". Plus being my first baby, I really don't know what to expect.

Mine was really long a super specific with Abby. I looked for it but I can't find it to attach. This time there are definitely a few specifics that I made sure I put in mine. I don't want pain meds/epidural and don't want them to ask me about either option. When baby is born I want his oxygen levels checked very shortly after birth. That's how they were able to catch Abby's heart defect and was reccommended by our cardiologist. I also included that I want to avoid c-section and episiotomy- I want those as last resort. I included who would be in the room and who is going to cut the cord. With Abby, dh helped deliver her once her head was out and I included that he would want to do that again if possible (providing that nothing goes wrong). I want to try to breastfeed as soon as possible. This time was pretty easy to write one b/c my midwife gives you a booklet with questions and you just fill it out. There were some questions about post partum as well- like we will be circumcising baby and he will be followed by our family dr and not peds. Also I put that we would be bfing exclusively and don't want any bottles or pacifiers introduced. They also asked if we planned to room-in with baby- which we will do and if you want the baby's first bath to be in your room or in the nursery. So I guess that sounds pretty specific but it was mainly just filling it in and answering questions. You could probably find a template online somewhere if you are interested in one. I think birth plans are especially important if you are planning a natural birth.

Here's a good website that has a birth plan template. Looks pretty easy to fill out.
