Regular Met vs Extended Release

I was wondering if anyone know of any real difference in regular Met vs the extended release. My script for regular Met is almost out, and I was thinking about asking my dr for the extended release. I have a hard time remembering to take the regular twice a day.

Taking meds twice a day is difficult for me too. I've heard many women say that the ER version gives them less side effects because of the slower release of Met into your system. If you've had trouble with s/e, I'd definately give it a try. Other than that, I don't know of much of a difference.
