So Aiden just figured out how to use those little pinches & absolutely LOVES those Gerber fruit puffs but he won't touch anything that is wet so he will only grab those puffs. I've tried the little fruits & veggies and he won't grab any of them - he'll eat them if I put them in his mouth. He's so picky to the point where if the puff gets soggy he won't touch it and moves on to the next dry one. Anyone else encounter this and is it something he'll grow out of? Just wasn't sure if this is him just learning about different textures, etc..?

It'll change - I think it is a part of growing for them. Just keep offering. A will finally take cooked veggies off the tray - he would not touch them before.

I think they say you have to offer a kid something like 10 times before you know if they really like it. Hannah liked the messy stuff. She lived on puffs. They have the fruit and veggie ones she loved them.

Kallie loves everything. And when I say everything I am not exaggerating. She will eat anything and everything. My nephew, on the other hand, is all about textures (so am I). I think its just an individual thing you dont have to worry about Jamie. And congrats on the BFP!!! I remember when you got your BFP with Aiden!

Definitely sounds like a texture thing. Lots of babies go through this. It's most likely a stage, but some things can stay with people into adulthood. For example, as a baby my DH hated things around/touching his face, and still does to this day.
Just keep offering him different foods with different textures. Also you can work on teaching him other textures with sand, uncooked rice and water. Or you can even make him a texture book out of things around the house, like fabric, sandpaper, silk, etc. He's just learning now. He may hate slimey today and bring you a worm tomorrow. Just keep doing what you are doing. You are on the right track! Keep offering new things! He may like cheerios too.

Thanks Mommies! The expressions on his face when he tries new things is absolutely priceless - cracks me up every time!

Tracy - thanks...I'm super excited & frankly SHOCKED that I got pg so fast! DH and I just started TTC this month and it happened! Should make my hectic life a little more interesting when they're a year and half a part...lol!! I'm constanly in a state of caos but wouldn't trade it for the world :D
