Krissy- I can't believe Emily is walking already. Tyler turned one on the 17th and he still isn't walking. We bought him one of those walkers that can turn into a little riding toy, and he loves walking with that. But so far he is way to cautious, and wobbley to try on his own. Do you think that it is harder to control Emily now that she is walking? Should I be thankful Ty's not to that stage yet?...hehe

Tracy- nice pics. I agree too, I really like that one with you. Your eyes really steal the picture. If I remember correctly you mentioned on another thread that you were doing "baby signs"? How old is that little one that you are teaching it too? I have been doing signs with Ty since he was 6 months old, and it took him four months to get his first one "more". He has only got one more under his belt, "light". He can wave bye and something else, I can't remember. But he is very stubborn and hasn't tried any more. Are you having success doing it?

Tonya - She goes anywhere she wants to. And she is always on the go. She does not want to be held anymore. But we knew this day is coming...just another reminder that she is getting to be a big girl!

Tonya: I wouldn't worry about it. DS was about 13 months before he walked alone, and DD was almost 16 months!!!! They say that the later they walk, the smarter they are; wonder what that means for my brother who walked at 9 months!!! LOLOLOL.

Annie: "only" 2001??? I was married in 1991!!!!!! Good grief, you all are young marrieds!! I feel old. BTW, I weighed 135 all through high school and am 5'6.5" . . . when I got pg this time I was 206! OH my, how things change. Wish I would have known that I had PCOS early on, I might have paid more attention to my eating habits and less to people's comments!! Even DH (bless his soul) said, "You don't really eat alot" and it was his way of saying, "yeah, you are heavy more because of a condition and less about being a pig! It's true, too. My goal after having this one, is to try to get below 200 . . . .which is so ironic because like everyone else I was feeling like a fatty in high school with all those 115 girls around. I was on my way down there with Met when I got pg, so I've got to get back on that wagon.

I'm having a battle with dd this morning. She is such a grazer and I refuse to open a restaurant for her convenience. I'm tired of it, so I decided to fight this morning. I won't give her water (her favorite drink) unitl she finishes the banana she asked for earlier. She asked for it, then said she didn't want it, then said she didn't like them (yeah, right) and then wanted something else, etc etc. I'm so tired of it!! I don't have the energy for it . . . . . . she is oye this morning!

Okay, we're watching the USC v. Michigan game. I was never really into football, but I like it alright now. I want USC to win because my neighbor is a HUGE Michigan fan; I mean car paraphenalia and a cut M in the grass, all blue and yellow clothing, even the 8th baby has a Michigan stroller!!!!!! Good Lord, I think they need deliverance, talk about worshipping the wrong thing! But, once they found out we were USC fans, they rib us a bit too much; we could care less, but overall I think USC is a better program ;) However, if you've not been there, it's in the WORSE part of town ever!!! Don't send a kid of yours there if you can help it. Gangs every which way and so on. Blegh.

YEAHS . . . .'SC just scored again. Finally!!

Got about an hours worth of ironing done today. Spent hours researching WAHM opportunities . . .. . need to grade for about 2 hours if I am to go to bed with a clear conscience. Probably have about 10 hours worth of work stuff to get done before next Monday. YUCK again!!

Need to finish the ironing . . . .organize the pictures better/prepare for more scrapbooking so the pics will be somewhere and not in boxes! . . .need to reinstitute a meditation time daily (reading and prayer) . . . .uh . . . . .clean the downstairs. . . . . .and so much more!! Darn this nesting!!

I was so worried about having it cut, because I didn't want to lose his curls. But, they're still there -- just more groomed now. So, we made a good decision. I'm thrilled that the frizz is gone so I can get a comb through it

Tracy I have a 2 yr old I has the same tool belt that cracks up dh every time he sees it on him, an d he has done the rubbermaid trick too, we had to seperate all 3 kids when we got them they had always slept together and it wasnt allowed, and I had only known sleeping with siblings and didnt take to sleeping alone very well, he left his room 2 times to go into his sisters room and sleep with her, so we blocked him fro going in to her room so he used the rubbermaid box used for the older brothers school papers to try to climb to the top bunk. We ended up putting the box in the portacrib and blocking the ladder with it since we couldnt put him in it (he had never been in one before)

Its so sad when you have to cut your kids hair. Hannah had lots of hair and curls I trimmed it ALOT. Too cute pics. Hannah is a tool kinda girl too. She is all tomboy she used to take a step stool put it up to the stove open the oven door pull out one rack and climb up onto it and on to the counter. They are so smart its scary.

We were at Sears the other night waiting forever for Daddy to spend gift cards. He came over to the lawnmower section and apologized for the long wait. I said, "no problem -- we've been touching tractors!!"

Seriously, we did this for about 30 minutes -- just walked around the Sears lawn-section touching tractors. My oh my...what fun :)

OMG are you talking about my kid???? We have to always check her pockets before she comes in from playing outside rocks, sticks, sand, dirt, flower bulbs, etc etc. She freaks out to hear a tractor but loves looking at them. Hey but she has my genes at 2 1/2 I caught a rooster on my uncles farm and was smart enough to grab it by the legs otherwise I would have been scratched to bits. They still tease me about that. I also was thirsty one time and went and milked the cow and brought the bucket inside we had none inside! By then they were automated so they didn't milk anymore but my uncle had showed us before and somehow I figured it out. I guess I was 5-6 ish.


Terra~ give her time she will figure out to use the multi tiered item to climb. Hannah was always tiny and petite and she climbed like a money. Scared me to death afraid she'd topple over.

Red~ I was in the process of moving furniture setting up our room again dusting etc and wasn't paying super close attention. I came around the corner and saw black I was PRAYING it wasn't a sharpie. Ken uses those at work alot and we have them all over the place. I can laugh about it more today but last night I was an emtional crying mess for over an hour.

Speaking of sticks. This is funny -- we went to Callaway Gardens before Christmas. They have an unbelievable light-display. You drive through in a "sleigh"...very neat. Well, we got there early, so we let Matt play outside until dark. He found a BIG stick and wouldn't put it back down. We had to take it back to the hotel room with us!! We propped it up on the outside of the window so we didn't have to take it inside, but he could still see it. I bet the cleaning folks thought we were insane the next day when we'd decorated their gorgeous lodge with sticks in the window!! :lol:

Preemienurse - Welcome! She is a cutie. How much did she weigh when she was born? My ds has that exact same swing and it is a godsend! I only wished I'd at it for him at Molly's age. He's in it now as we speak, sound asleep.

She was 6 pounds, 7 ounces at birth. At her two-week pediatrician visit, she was already 6 pounds, 13-1/2 ounces! She's growing up too fast for me...

We have a couple of new swings in our NICU so I had some experience with them before I had Molly. I chose the Papasan one because you can take out the toy tray and use the fabric seatbelt to buckle the baby in even if they're swaddled in a blanket. The rest of the swings all had a big plastic thing in between the baby's legs so you couldn't swaddle them like you can with this one...

Tonya ~ thanks for the compliment! Actually, I got him that Elmo outfit and the Lion onesie at Macy's. Believe it or not, I believe I paid about $15-$20 for the 3-piece Elmo outfit. I'm thinking about dressing him in it for his 6-month picture later on this month. The onesie with the lion on it is from Baby Eistein and I believe I paid $20 for the outfit, it also came with a hooded sweater.

I am dying to paint my living room... I hate off-white walls!! But with the tall ceilings and the loft it is not going to be easy. I don't do ladders at all. I have the painting bug now though.
