Happy New Years to everyone! So excited for all the happiness that 2011 will bring for all of us!

Mel - Yikes, a cracked rib! Are you going to head to the dr? I hope that you find some relief, that sounds terrible!

honey, pugs, and wells - january is going to be a great month for you! Can't wait to hear all about it! :)

Hello to everyone else!

Nothing exciting to report, just wanted to wish everyone a happy new years!

Happy New Year all! We are all so close to having our babies!

Mel- I think I would go in and see someone and make sure everything is ok and it is a cracked rib and nothing on top of that. They may be able to give you something for the pain.

My baby had flipped head down but is now footling breech again. I need him head down to help me feel better! If he comes early, I would be a lot less stressed if he was head down. He's a stubborn little one though.

I have been icing for about an hour now and it takes the edge off butni can barely breathe or do anything. I'm miserablebut now sure there is anything even the ER could do for it? it?

esarah
01-01-2011, 01:45 PM
Could you go to an urgent care clinic? Either way, ER or urgent care, they could make sure that it's not more then a cracked rib and make sure your lungs are ok. If the breathing wasn't an issue I wouldn't be as worried but the pain sounds really bad and if it was bad enough I couldn't move and I was having trouble breathing I would go in and make sure it was ok.
They might be able to give you pain meds that would help you rest and move. If you don't want to take pain meds and you are certain it's nothing more than a cracked rib and your lungs are ok, then it might not be worth it to go in but if it is causing you to have a hard time breathing it might help to take pain meds and be able to relax and that would help you heal faster. Just my thoughts though...

Ok- so I paged the OB ad he said sounded like a cracked or broken rib but there was nothing I can take or do for it. He said absolutely no advil and I just have to deal with it. SUCKS!!!! He did say if I get really miserable I can go get vicodin but he really doesn't want me to take it. Otherwise just ice it BOOO!!!

I do have a regular OB appt though on Friday with an US so that is nice. If it's still this bad on Monday, I will call in sick

esarah
01-01-2011, 02:20 PM
Mel- I am glad you talked to the OB. Yeah, Advil at the end of pregnancy can not only bring up bleeding concerns but can cause problems with the baby's heart. My doctor thought about putting me on a different drug for contractions (after I was allergic to nifedipine and Terbutaline makes me feel sick, my heart races and makes me dizzy) but it was closely related to ibuprofen and they don't like you to take it at the end of pregnancy for the same reasons
If you have a horrible night, I would get the vicodin so you can at least get some rest. The problem with vicodin is if you take it for extended periods of time at the end before baby is born it can cause the baby to have withdrawals but if you take a couple to get some rest right now and relief, it should be ok. If you get rest and are feeling better tomorrow then you won't have to worry about it.
I can't imagine going into work feeling the way you are describing! I hope you feel better soon and that you can heal quickly. Definitely rest and take care of you right now.

Oh Mel, I hope you start feeling better soon, I can't even imagine how painful that must be.

Little Luke, please turn again for your mom and stay head down.

Not much new here, lots of pressure down there and definitely getting more BH contractions, but I can still feel little Sam move around a lot, so we're not that close yet. But 13 days to go until induction, so the end is near. Only one more week of work, yay!

mel im sorry about your pain. thats gotta suck really bad.

well we are supposed to be having people over tonight to watch the UFC fight. i was rocking in my chair for maybe 45 mins? got up to go to the bathroom and there was some light red when i wiped. i wouldnt say it was bright red and it wasnt quite brown either. i havent been having any cramping. im just sore from him moving in there. i think it might be me trying to loose my mucus plug. i paged my ob but he hasnt called me back yet. the bag is packed and we are ready to go but i want to take a shower and shave my legs =( im in full on freak out mode!!

Can it really by 2011???? Where the heck did this come from!? It's going to be a fun year for all of us! And... its the year I turn 30, bittersweet, I always wanted to be a mom before I turned 30, and that's going to happen I'm just cutting it a bit close!

We put together the crib yesterday... SO CUTE! We picked furniture that is espresso and it looks quite sharp! I'm getting more and more worried about this baby... I get so worried that something will happen to him. All I want is for him to arrive safely so I can protect him, snuggle him and tell him face to face how much I simply love him. I really don't have a "reason" to worry.. other than becoming obsessed with tragic stories of other women, I need to knock it off.

Mel- How did you crack a rib!?

Wells- 13 days!!!! OH MY GOSH! Are you super excited??

Tiffany- so excited for you! Wishing you the best!!! Soon your bundle of joy will be snuggled in your arms and the pain of the IV will be so far out of your mind. :-) YAY!

01-02-2011, 02:05 PM
Veston is coming! Can't wait to hear your birth story, Tiffany!

Ruby-- how awesome to get your crib together. Makes it so much more "real" doesn't it??

I'm washing up sheets, onesies, sleepers, etc. today. So much FUN!!! I can't wait to see who will be using all of this tiny stuff. Chris took the older 2 kids to see Narnia, Blake is napping... I have peace and quiet for a moment.

Welcome Veston! Congratulations, Tiff, I'm glad he's here and he's safe.

Mel- how the heck did the rib thing happen? Was it spontaneous? just curious, hope you feel better soon.

Hi Ash, Wells, pugmom, ruby, & megs.

Sarah- high 5! I'm so glad you've made it to 2011.

AFM- nothing exciting, just hanging in there, I had to start insulin about 3 weeks ago and have steadily had to increase the dose each week since then. I'm up to 3 injections a day and the blood glucose levels don't seem to respond too well. My Doc says it will level out soon, so let's hope she's right. My BP is great though, so that's good news. And I've gotten a "due date" it seems we're scheduling my c-section for Feb. 1...I will know for sure tomorrow when the scheduling lady calls me to confirm. Of course, there's no helping the situation if this baby decided to come earlier!

I'm glad to hear about everyone and looking forward to reading all of the birth stories soon.

:)Oh, and sorry I keep going AWOL, not my intention, just don't have enough hours in the day (seems the whole pregnancy has flown by for me this time).

honey19
01-03-2011, 10:24 AM
congrats tiffany, that is wonderful news! i can't wait to hear your birth story!

starlette, good to hear from you! glad things are going okay. i hope your glucose levels out soon.

mel, how are you feeling and how is your rib?

esarah, anything exciting going on with you today?

pug, that is a crazy coincidence!

ruby, yay for getting the crib up. it makes it feel like baby is just around the corner..

AFM, I didn't think I would be after last night, but I guess my body decided to stop. I had labor like contractions for a good 5 hours last night. They were 3-5 minutes apart and lasting 60 seconds but I didn't think they hurt bad enough to warrant a call to the doctor....and I was exhausted and laying in bed through them felt so much better than a hospital bed would have. Poor DH was so tired, so I just let him sleep while I kept a log of my contractions. by 3 am I was so tired I fell asleep between contractions and woke up when new ones started. they eventually stopped coming so frequently and by 5 I was down to a couple an hour and now they aren't as painful. I am not sure if my body was just testing things out or what it is doing! i am so confused. now is when i would really like someone to just tell me when i am going into labor so i don't have all this confusion. on top of that i am not feeling well. my sinus infection seems like it is back with a vengeance and dd sounds like she has croupe so we are both home today. i wonder if i will have an interesting update for you within the next 24-48 hours or so....

melfab15
01-03-2011, 10:39 AM
well the rib fracture came from laying on my right side, having a coughing attack, and the baby going nuts-o all at the same time. He must have kicked me just right and next thing i new I couldnt breath, move, touch that area of my ribs, bend over, etc. I have been icing and that really helps.

Star- I forgot that you are ahead of me :) Good luck and hope things calm down for you

honey- sorry to hear about you and DD. I hope that you feel better soon so that your birth is not stressful

sarah- how are you doing babe?

Rubystar
01-03-2011, 11:31 AM
Honey- I'm new to all of this and admittedly overly neurotic. Do you plan to call you dr today? I was watching TLC and a woman was induced because she had a bad cold!! I get nervous so often I call my dr over every tiny feeling!! He probably thinks I'm nuts. I think you are a strong woman... You sound so calm and cool after such a long night! I hope you and dd feel better soon!!

Mel- ouch! Are you carrying high?

honey19
01-03-2011, 11:37 AM
ruby, i won't call my doc unless i am in labor or start bleeding. I am not a big believer in induction unless it is really medically necessary, so there is no way I would let a doc induce for a cold. just a personal belief. i am exhausted, but I know this baby will be here soon so I try not to stress about anything.

mel, i still cringe when i think about a cracked rib...ouch!

Wellsv
01-03-2011, 11:39 AM
Honey, hope you start feeling better soon, that is really tough to be sick. I had to switch meds a couple of times just to get rid of my sinus infection. I will anxiously await updates from everyone. Nothing new to report here, darn contractions seemed to have stopped.

01-03-2011, 07:07 PM
Honey & Mel- how are you feeling? I've been thinking about you both...

AFM- can anyone recommend a good place to get maternity lounge wear?? I'm getting uncomfortable in my sweatpants and all I have left are maternity leggings and jeans. HELP!

melfab15
01-03-2011, 07:51 PM
ruby- have you tried old navy online? i found really comfy PJ and lounge pants there for $10 or less. You might want to try it :)

AFM: I talked to my principal today at school and since i being induced on Feb 17th, I have made my last day of teaching Feb 9th! It feels so good to have an ending date and even though it is 6 weeks away, I team teach so that means only 13 more teaching days left . . . . HOORAY! I am also excited though because that means i will get a week home with Ben before the baby comes :)

Mel - This might be late, but this is my advice on the ribs. Sometimes with cracked or broken ribs its actually better to take a pain reliever (narcotic). I know that sounds kind of counter what people think, especially when pregnant. But keeping the pain in check is actually really important. The tendency with injured ribs is to not cough, not take deep breathes, etc... That sets you up for a horrible pneumonia and other pulmonary complications. I take care of a lot of people with broken ribs and keeping their pain under control is really important. Otherwise they don't breathe well. You can also try and splint. Thats basically taking a small pillow or blanket roll and holding it very firmly against the ribs that hurt to support them. You really have to put some pressure and pull it in to support them well. But it keeps them from moving so its less painful to breathe and cough.

Wellsv

Maggie- thanks for the advice. I actually have een trying to lay on them and it hurts but it does make coughing easier like you said. Thanks for helping :)

Mary- congrats on the birth! Can't wait to hear ur story :)

afm: peeing during the night has become almost an hourly event and it really sucks!!! Between peeing and the rib pain, sleep and I have not been meeting up much... Booo! I have an OB appt Friday morning with an US. DH is off that day so he can come ad we will bring DS- should be fun!

01-04-2011, 12:01 PM
congrats mary! what a fun birthday! cant wait to hear more details!!!!

ruby, i am doing okay, thanks for asking. no sign of the sinus infection going away. i have a girlfriend who insists that this is a sign baby is coming, though i am not really sure how that works...lol i am not feeling like much is going to happen anytime soon, but my water broke out of nowhere with dd so i guess anything is possible. now just playing the waiting game.

Congratulations MaryFaith! What a fun birthday!

Honey-- you and I are playing the waiting game together... I'm not good at waiting.

Mel-- glad DH can go with you to the US, and bring Ben. He'll love it. I took Blake a couple of months ago and he kept talking about watching "the baby show on tv". It was hilarious!

I have a doctor's appt. today at 3:15. I'm hoping that I'm making some progress... so tired at this point.

This board is hopping with excitement! I am dying to get on just to find out if anyone has popped yet! :)

Mary - congrats! That is such a fun date! Were the first in the hospital for the year? So fun!

Pug - hope that you have made some progress...it's tough towards the end, you just want it to be over with!

Honey - I'm interested to find out if your water breaks out of nowhere again, the same thing happened to me with DS and I am wondering if my chances of it happening again are higher. Hope that you are feeling better!

Mel - sorry about getting no sleep and peeing all the time. Hopefully your rib will start to feel better and you can start to get some rest.

Ruby - I would check old navy for sure. My mom also got me some maternity yoga pants from pea on a pod for Christmas and they are so comfy! I wish I could wear them to work!

Star - glad you could check in and say hello! Feb 1 will be here before you know it.

Hello everyone else!

Not too much to report here. Went back to work yesterday after having ten days off and I am struggling! I am trying to get back into the swing of things and push myself, but I'm just too tired. I have not been sleeping well at all, I am so hot! We leave our window wide open, it is 20 degrees outside, we have a fan blowing, and yet, I am still constantly throwing the covers off me. And then don't get me started on the heart burn! Haha! I guess I am a tad bit uncomfortable... :) January is my least favorite month of the year, I always get down, so I will be grateful when it is over!

honey19
01-04-2011, 03:18 PM
ashley, I hear you on being hot! I feel like an oven at night while DH is freezing!

pug, it's too bad we don't live closer and can't play the game together!

I am to the point where if this baby comes I am completely okay with the gestation, though I would love a couple more days for his/her sake. DH is getting anxious and I have to say I am getting a little annoyed that he is constantly asking me if I am having contractions or if I "feel" like the baby is coming soon. I try to explain that I don't know and I can't tell and he just gets frustrated. He wants the baby here now, lol. I guess he doesn't understand that I can't control when the baby comes.....I do feel like it is coming soon, but "soon" can mean so many things. after that episode of painful contractions 3-5 minutes apart for 5 hours this week, I feel like my body is really getting ready, and I keep loosing pieces of mucous plug (or what I assume is mucous plug) I think this baby is just teasing me!

Rubystar
01-04-2011, 05:26 PM
Ash- I get major hot flashes too! Although, to be honest, yours sound pretty intense! 20 degrees with a fan on! What does your DH say about this!? :) I get heartburn too, first time in my entire life! Doc said to be sure to wait a long time between eating and laying down for bed... he must be nuts, I bring cereal to bed with me!

Honey- I think you're next.. sounds like your babe is gearing up for the big debut! YAY!!!

Mary- CONGRATULATIONS!!! YAY!!! I can't wait to see pictures of your little girl!!!

Mel- I'm right there with you peeing. It's like as soon as I get back into bed I have to go again! Annoying.

AFM- I'm going to try to upload a baby belly picture to the board. Hopefully it will work :-) I called my doc today because I CAN NOT GET ANY SLEEP! I'm losing my marbles. I was told to sleep on the left side, or put a wedge under the right side of my back to tilt left. BUT, baby obviously hates this position for whenever bedtime rolls around I get kicked 98 times in a row. How are you ladies sleeping?? Any luck??

pugmom74
01-04-2011, 06:02 PM

01-04-2011, 06:09 PM
Honey- I'm hoping ur time comes soon so u can get some relief

ruby- I'm right there too. I'm so tired- I can not get any sleep and am going crazy.

Pug- major congrats girl!!!

Also- to all u girls... I am 32.5 weeks and have so much discharge that my underwear are soaked and my pants even get wet. Does this happen to anybody else? This is new for me. I never lost my mucus plug so I don't know if this is it or is that chunky? Sorry for the tmi. What the heck is all this discharge from? Is it normal?

honey19
01-04-2011, 06:27 PM
mel, I responded to the mucous plug thing on the mom's board, but extra discharge is completely normal....as gross as it is. I HATE when it gets on my pants!

ruby, I don't know if I will make it through the weekend, but I think pug could be next...or wells! It's anyones game :)....well not game, but you know what I mean!

Just a quick pop in for Mel - I have to wear panty liners sometimes. It was worse during the first trimester for me, but occasionally I need them again. I just carry a few of those really small panty liners in my purse in case of emergency. However, there have been a couple of times when I could not tell that I was having extra discharge before it was too late. :/

Rubystar
01-05-2011, 06:16 AM
mel- a co-worker of my husband gave him Jenny McCarthy's book on pregnancy.. although vulgar it was hilarious and she had a whole chapter devoted to discharge! It started late her her pregnancy too. As for me, I've had to wear panty liners every single day since I was 10 weeks along, otherwise I'd be soaked! DH and I call it our "baby juice". I've noticed it getting heavier now... tmi? hope not!

Wellsv

I don't think it's going to be me to be next, which is ok. Had a few BH contractions last night, nothing this morning, no sign of losing my mucus plug, baby is exceptionally active. With this cold though, I'm kind of hoping that it isn't right now just because I'd like to feel a little bit better before the whole L&D experience.

honey19
01-05-2011, 07:06 PM
wells, I hope that baby surprises you and comes soon! but I also hope he/she waits until you are feeling better.

ruby, the baby juice thing totally made me lol.

mel, definitely use panty liners! I cant imagine life without them lol

I am feeling miserable still and now have a fever on top of all of it. my doctor gave me a stronger prescription for my infection. i now have a fever and a nasty sore throat and cough so i am hoping it makes it all go away. she also told me to take some sudafed and mucinex to help get things draining. after she looked at me she said that she really hopes baby waits until I am better, or I will have a miserable time with labor and delivery and my body might not cooperate as well for a vbac.

apparently i lost 2lbs since last week, but that's okay with me! I am definitely not having problems gaining weight with this baby. Baby looked good with a hr in the 140s. i am still measuring at 37 weeks. Thats been the same for the last 4 appts so she said baby is running out of room and only time will tell when he/she will come. i am 2cm dilated and 80% effaced, so definitely making progress, and baby's head has continued to drop....though I still don't know to what extent. Even with the progress, I feel like the baby will hold out until next week... I don't know where that feeling came from, but I am trying to have faith that it will at least wait until I am healthy enough to go through labor and delivery.

pugmom74

I am officially losing it. Last week I thought my appt was at 9:45, it was at 9. So I was 45 minutes late. I thought my appt was today at 9:45, so I showed up, it is tomorrow at 9:45 a.m. I am not sure where my brain is, but it surely isn't working. I cried the whole way home.

Wells-- It happens to us all- it's the stress. ((((((hugs))))))

Mel-- hope you and baby boy can hang in there a few more weeks!!

Star-- I'll keep my labor vibes to myself (or send them to other who want them). I understand not wanting to go until you're "ready".

I haven't had much going on today. A few BH contractions here and there, but that's nothing new. I'm going to have Taco Bell for lunch and see if the spicy food does anything for me. A few of my friends swear by it, but I doubt it will work for me.

Rubystar
01-06-2011, 11:44 AM
Wells- how stressful! Don't worry, its normal! My girlfriend calls her memory loss her "mum dums" and another calls it her "placenta brain"! I told dh not to tell me any dates or times because I wil mix them up... Hope it gets better!

Mel- hope you are getting rest after last night! So glad they have your contractions under control, I've been worried about you!

Pug- enjoy the taco bell!!!! Hope it works for you :)

Star- lay low and take it easy!!!

AFM- finally got some sleep last night but it was on the couch :( went to my real bed at 7am. I'm just happy I got some sleep finally! Plus, I'm in the midst of the absolute worst hot flash...ugh!

honey19
01-06-2011, 11:46 AM
pug, I hope the taco bell works for you! add some jalapeņos for me (i crave them all the time!). with dd, I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with jalapeņos for lunch and went into labor that evening, so I guess it can work! If loosing weight is a sign of labor, I hope this baby waits at leas a couple more days so that i can get a little better. I have never heard that about loosing weight...I wonder why that is?

mel, so glad you are back at home. sorry the turb sucks so much. I am just glad baby doesn't want to come out quite yet. Keep baking little one!

wells, I totally did that too!!! I would show up for appointments way too early or late thinking they were a different time than they were. I felt like such an idiot, but the receptionist said it happens all the time with us preggos. thank you baby brain....

starlette, I won't be sending labor vibes your way yet. I am hoping you hold out until feb! I am the same way...I worry that my water is just going to break like it did with dd. The coughing makes me nervous since I cough so hard. I feel like it would just burst...and poor baby needs to hang out through it all!

I am starting to feel a little better. Things are draining out of my sinuses, but are now in my throat and chest so I have a nasty sore throat and a cough that hurts and won't go away. It is making sleep awful! I am glad because I feel like this is on the way out, but we will see! here is to wishful thinking...

Thanks ladies. Ruby, I love the mum dums, I'm totally borrowing that!

Pug, hope the spicy foods work. You can send me labor vibes, I'm ready. I'll send them back to you too.

Starlett, hope your LO stays put until February.

Honey, glad you are starting to feel better. I had that about a month ago and it was terrible. For me, I had to sleep upright in my recliner, so that plus Tylenol PM helped a lot. And the zithromax plus cephalexen cocktail did wonders. I am still stuffy, but the cough was what killed me.

Mel, how are you doing? Are the contractions slowing down any? Sorry to hear that the Turb shot was terrible.

Wells: yes I am feeling better, now if the side effects from the terbutaline would just wear off.

Also, I can not help myself- I am in total baby prep mode-starting to wash the things I have left feom Ben's newborn stuff. Nesting is in full swing today!!!!!

Honey-- I don't know WHY you lose weight before labor begins, but it happened to me with Blake too. I looked in What To Expect When Expecting and it's listed as one of the prelabor signs. It says, "it's common for women to lose 2-3 pounds as labor approaches." I lost 4 pounds with Blake, so far with this baby I have lost 2.5 lbs.

I just found this at Dr. Sears website...

"Weight loss in the final month is usually due to a decrease in the amount of amniotic fluid, as hormones begin shifting fluid around in your body. You produce less amniotic fluid, and the increased frequency of urination may lead to an overall drop in total body water, and therefore a decrease in your weight."

mel- I looked at the oldnavy.com website and they have some great maternity deals, holy cow!! I wish they could send me trials to try on! I ended up going to motherhood and browsed their sale racks.... I'm slightly addicted to shopping. When I got home DH said "cute stuff, this will be your last shopping venture for awhile, right?" Silly man.

AFM- My brother sent us the carseat we registered for, the keyfit 30. DH is a neat freak and left it in the box but I begged him to take it out last night. We put one of our dog's toys in the seat for practice... our poor dog was pretty confused, lol! I took the directions out right away but DH, like a total cliche', said "Men don't need directions". And he futzed with it for awhile before asking me for the directions book. I can't help but giggle.

Hi ladies. Had my 38 week appt today. Dr got called away to deliver a baby, so I only got to see a nurse. Down .4 lbs (shocking actually because I have eaten a lot), still 2 cm dilated, now 80% effaced. I would love to get the show on the road here.

Hope you are all doing well!

pug, thanks for the info on why we loose weight before delivery. Really interesting!

LOL! I'm the exact same as you guys! I honestly think this baby has no intention of being born anytime soon. Today I barely feel pregnant. I've been vacuuming up a storm and doing laundry (which requires stairs in my house)-- hoping to get SOMETHING moving. My mom is taking me out to dinner tonight and then to the mall to return something, then to Babies R Us to shop some more. *That's* got to get labor started, right????

Today we had our 33 week OB appt. Ben has been really excited about it all day, talking about wanting to see "Owen", waving to him, and wanting to watch "Owen" dance. So at 3pm we headed to our appt- at 4:45pm the doctor finally came in and we got to see "Owen" via ultrasound!

He is growing quite well, looking great, and was moving non stop (like always). He is right on track for his growth except for his head- which is measuring 3 weeks ahead . . . AWESOME!!! (Bryan is trying to tell me not to worry, it's only 3 weeks ahead but I told him when is the one delivering the head, he can share his opinion- otherwise, zip it! LOL)

AFM: my BP was great 100/70 and I only gained 3 lbs this past month which means 20lbs total for this PG so far.

here is a picture of our little guy today at 33 weeks

honey19
01-10-2011, 10:47 AM
wells, with dd I never even noticed that I lost it. Dr said that sometimes you loose it in such small pieces it just seems like ewcm and some women don't have the blood tinge or brown tinge to it.

pugmom74
01-10-2011, 12:04 PM
With Blake I lost it all at once and there was blood. This time it's been small chunks (just like EWCM), but no blood. I'm only assuming it's my plug really.

Today I'm having LOTS of strong menstral-like cramps. I went to Target this morning and actually had to stop walking a few times because it hurt so badly. Nothing is regular at this point, but they're still coming occasionally. I have a doctor's appt. tomorrow morning and I hope I don't even make it to that point!

Pugs, Wells, and Honey - I'm so excited for all three of you! Even though you are only eight - nine weeks ahead of me, I feel like my time is an eternity away. You are so close and soon you will be holding your babies! I can't wait to hear about it.

Pugs - can't wait to hear about your appointment tomorrow, unless of course you don't make it! Hopefully they will just keep you! :)

Ruby, sarah, mel - Hello, hope you are all hanging in there!

Nothing too exciting to report here. My upper back has been killing me at work, I am trying to figure out what I need to do. I think my chair is not tall enough. I brought a pillow in, but that seemed to do nothing. I just don't remember being this uncomfortable last time. Maybe I am pushing it harder than I did with DS, but not much I can do with a toddler running around and working full time. I think I may have decided on my last day of work, March 11, only nine weeks away and I can't wait! :) Also, my sister is having her baby any day now too! I think once she has her baby, this will actually start to feel real. I did sneak in a small bag of newborn diapers into the grocery cart. I told DH that now all he needs to do is put the bouncer chair back together and we are all set! Haha! I'm going to beg my mom to come visit next month so we can go to Babies R Us. I can't belive I haven't been once yet!

Hope everyone is feeling great!

I spent some time in Labor and Delivery today! I haven't felt the baby move all day. I drank tons of water and laid down... nothing. I drank 2 big glasses of orange juice and ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich... nothing. I laid down for about 2 hours just hoping and praying for movement... nothing. Finally at 2:45 I called my OB's office and my doctor was there. He told me go straight to L&D to be monitored. I got there at about 3:30 (had to find someone to watch Blake). They hooked me all up the monitors and there was the beautiful heartbeat. I kid you not, within 2 minutes the baby was kicking up a storm! They monitored me for about 30 minutes, came in the room, said "baby looks fantastic, go home." So, here I am... back to waiting.

Streaks of blood in the mucus now, which is coming out thick. Contractions, but they aren't every 3-5 minutes. Yea Wells! I'm so excited for you. I wasn't able to get on the computer yesterday and I was hoping I would get on to find that one of you had their baby! So interesting that you ended up not having the baby on your sons birthday...I guess these things have a way of working out!

Pugs and Honey, you're next! Maybe even as I am typing! :)

Hello to everyone else! It's going to feel lonely here now that we are going to have three graduates at the same time!

My sister ended up having her baby yesterday too! Her delivery was quite the event though and now I am totally nervous for labor. She went in the hospital Thursday night and progressed into labor just like normal. Everything was going smoothly until she felt like she had her water broken, but it turned out she was bleeding profusely. It turned out her placenta had abrupted. It ended with a emergency c-section. The baby had a really hard time so they sent him to the NICU for monitoring and my sister still hasn't had the chance to see him. She ended up needing a blood transfusion. It sounded like it was pretty traumatic! I was considering trying for a VBAC but now I am really nervous! Ahhh! I talked to her today and she was like, "Have a C-section! You do not want to go through what I did!" Luckily I still have two months to forget about how I feel right now! It sounds like she is feeling better today and the baby is doing well, they are hoping to bring him down to her today. So, it turned out ok, but sounded terrifying!

I hope we continue to have "uneventful" births! :D

01-15-2011, 04:17 PM

pugmom74

AFM- had a check up today. Baby seems to be doing great. I'm measuring 2 weeks under where I "should" be so I am being sent for an ultrasound on Friday. I'm already a nervous worry wart... How have you guys been measuring? Dr. didn't seem concerned.

esarah
01-17-2011, 08:11 PM
Ruby-I have measured anywhere from 2 weeks small to 1 week big this pregnancy and they have never worried or even checked on him because of it. They say up to two weeks off can be completely normal and it can have to do with a lot of different things including baby's position when being measured.

pugmom74
01-17-2011, 08:28 PM
Hey everyone!

Ruby-- thanks for the good thoughts tomorrow. As for the measuring thing... I have either measured right where I'm supposed to be or up to 3 weeks ahead. According to my ultrasounds the baby is in the 50th percentile, but my doctor said a lot of the measurements are depending on how you are carrying, and baby's position. I have carried high during this pregnancy, so that tends to measure bigger. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

Honey-- I know what you mean about these babies we are carrying! They're gonna be stinkers I tell ya!

Wells-- I don't know what the doctor is going to say tomorrow. He had told me at one point that he wouldn't let me go past my due date, but I'm not sure I believe him! We'll see what tomorrow's appt. holds, I guess.

My appt. is at 1:15 for a NST, and then 1:45 with the doctor. We'll see what he has to say!! I'll keep everyone updated.

Honey- Yay for a healthy baby boy! Yay for a natural VBAC! It souds like things went really, really well! :)

Pug - so excited to hear your update for today or to hear that the baby is coming! Hang in there, it's got to end some time right? :)

Ruby - Don't worry too much, two weeks under doesn't sound like too much. I know that they mostly worry when the baby isn't growing like it should. Have you always measured a certain way? My doctor doesn't even tell me if I am measuring ok, he just measures and says, "looks good." Not sure what that means! Hope you get some calming answers at your appointment.

Sarah - how are you doing? I'm so glad to see that you are still hanging in there!

Megs - Welcome to the 3rd trimester! Glad to see things are going well and the baby is doing great!

Hi Mel!

Nothing too exciting to report here. My sister and her baby are doing well, thankfully! Thanks for all your thoughts and well wishes. I believe they are going to come home today, which is wonderful. Hi everyone!

I had my appt. today. I had a NST and baby looked good for most of it... he/she was feeling kinda lazy so they had to keep buzzing the baby with the vibrator thing. HB was good, just not a whole lot of movement, but enough. My BP was good. I gained a little, but that's fine. My doctor did an internal and without me knowing until the pain hit, he stripped my membranes. He said I'm a good 1.5 cm dliated and baby is very high. He's hoping I'll go on my own in the next day or so, but if not I'm scheduled for induction on Friday, at 4am (yes, 4am!). So, the end is near!!!

Congrats Pug! Can't wait to hear the details!

AFM - what is stripping of the membranes and what does it entail? Is it something that has to be done? It sounds terrible!!

jessicaileen
01-19-2011, 04:39 PM
ash - Stripping of the membranes is when your midwife/OB puts two of his/her fingers up in your va-jay-jay and does a sweeping motion around the inside of the cervix to basically disconnect the membranes from the uterine wall. Its been known to start labor.

I had mine stripped at 38weeks 4days since I was already 4cm and ready to get the party started (so to speak). Some doctors won't do it until your at least 2cm or more. It was a painful procedure when she did the sweeping motion in my cervix but it was quick. After that, I had a bloody show (which is normal after the procedure). I had severe period like cramps the rest of the day and my water broke that night in bed - I delivered the next day.

Was up most of the night with contractions. At some points in the night, I was on all 4s just rocking my hips. Also I have severe sharp pains when I try to roll over or move around a lot. Dr appt this morning at 9am CA time. Fingers (and legs crossed) that this baby stays put!

Mel- eek! Sounds like a tiring night! I will be keeping you in my thoughts & prayers as you go to your doctor appointment. Keep us posted!!

AFM- I was woken up by baby having hiccups. Also, I'm refusing to put away gifts from the baby shower or write thank you cards until after my ultrasound tomorrow. I'm such a worrier!

01-20-2011, 10:13 AM
Ruby- Hang in there girl! I'm sure everything is just fine. Some babies are just a bit smaller and sometimes your belly hasn't hit it's growth spurt yet. Try really hard not to worry and just enjoy your pregnancy! The hiccups are fun! This little guy gets them several times a day. I swear it's b/c he is so wiggly!!

Mel- Hope your appt goes okay. That little boy needs to stay put for a while longer!!! Make sure you keep us updated.

Nothing new here. I slept horrible and now I just feel crabby. I think dh couldn't wait to get out the door this morning for work. Baby was flipping around all last night. I really need him to decide to stay head down. It's so much more comfortable that way and it makes me nervous that he is going to get stuck breech one of these times!

Ok well I'm home from the dr and had the non stress test, group B test, and he checked me. I am having contractions but there is no pattern to them so I'm ok to come home. If I have more than 5 contractions in an hour I will go back to LD. BP was 100/60 and I didn't gain any weight. I will now have appts every week- this is getting
close :) ..... Now I just need a name for this guy!

Hey!
So.. had the ultrasound this morning and here is the news:

Baby is in the 56th percentile for his size so we are happy. His cheeks are getting chubby and that was cute to see!

Personally, I feel like a failure, like I can't give him a good home. BECAUSE- my fluid is low which explains why I am measuring small. Apparently I will be monitored, with ultrasound, every week. Worst case scenrio is I will be delivered early. Best case scenerio is that baby was hiding the fluid today and they will find the missing fluid next week.

I will call to schedule my next appointment at lunch time.

Today, I am writing thank you cards, washing baby clothes and finishing my hosptial admission paper work. :D

melfab15
01-22-2011, 07:03 AM
Well it's 350 my time and I have been up since 130 with killer contractions. Everytime they start to get regular they ease up and then 10-15 min later they start again. I would totally have gone to LD but DH sold my car which only leaves us his truck and he has to stay with ds so if something progressed he would be stuck here.

Guess i will be packing my bag in the morning.

Baby- either come or ease up. Ur driving mommy nuts!!!!!!

melfab15
01-22-2011, 01:06 PM
Last night was really rough. I was up from about 130-430 with really strong contractions. Just when they would get regular they would die out and then start back up again a few minutes later. I probably would have gone to LD except it's 30 minutes away, DH sold my car yesterday so I would have had to drive his truck and gone by myself because Ben was sleeping and then if I needed him he wouldn't have had a way to get to me :(
luckily after putting a warm Rick sock on my lower belly they eased up and I was able to get to sleep.
Thus baby needs to get out or give me a break and I am hoping it's not the get out option ;)

AshS789
01-22-2011, 02:04 PM
So sorry Mel, that sounds rough!! I hope that things start to settle down and that baby comes after the next couple of weeks go by! Get some rest!

Ruby - glad you got some reassurances from your appointment, saw your pic on facebook, so cute!! I hope the fluid was hiding for your next appointment! The nice thing is though that you will be getting weekly ultrasounds. I'm jealous!! It's nice to just know that things are going good. Hearing you talk about hospital paperwork makes me realize how close we are! Ahhh!

Megs - I hope the baby decides to stay head down!

Sarah - hope you are still hanging in there!

Nothing new to report here. I had major insomnia last night and was up for most of the night. Thank goodness for netflix and hulu! Today I am babysitting my nephew who is 9 months for a few hours so I am getting a feel for what it will be like with 2 kids. It's not easy! :)

Mel- Hi! How are you feeling?? I've been thinking of you... hope things are going well!

Ash- Yes, I LOVE LOVE LOVE having ultrasounds on a weekly basis, it's kinda difficult to see baby, although he seems gigantic in there now he is all squished! Glad you like the most recent picture of him. My mom thinks he will be born with sunglasses on being "too cool" for the paparazzi taking his pictures, he's had so many ultrasounds! HAHAHAHA!:D My OB/GYN called me the other night and that was reassuring too. He told me to be sure to rest often on my left side, drink lots of fluids and refrain from getting out of breath. I don't know how much more I could possibly drink, I feel like I already live in the bathroom! Looking forward to Friday's appointment. How have you been feeling??? Have you completed the hospital admission paperwork? The countdown is on, girl!

Esarah- How are you? Are you still feeling great??

ok so they may seem silly but i changed my tickers. THe one on the left now shows my induction information and the one on the right is my due date information. HAHAHA. I got tired of trying to figure out how many days till he ACTUALLY gets here.

Hope you all have a great monday :)

megs&david
01-24-2011, 11:45 AM
Mel- I changed my ticker too this morning. But only b/c the one has had me at an eggplant for 4 weeks now. So I found one from lilypie and it says pumpkin! Now I feel big!!! Hope you got a good night sleep last night!

Ruby- that's awesome that your dr called you to reassure you. What a good dr!!! I hope you are feeling a bit better about things. Plus you get to see Bubba every week. I was just telling dh that at my u/s a week ago that they couldn't even get his whole body on the screen anymore! Did they tell you how much he weighed? Should be fun to get to track his growth!

Ash- you scare me with the 2 kids talk! I really hope it's not super hard. Abby and I have such a great routine now! Hopefully it will be a smooth transition!!! Have you done much to get ready for baby? We have literally done nothing! I was okay with that until yesterday and I think my "nesting" has officially kicked in. I just hope I don't annoy dh to death!! Hope you haven't had any more insomnia. I have started to get up more and more and not be able to sleep late! Ugh!

Sarah- hope you are just busy with family and that's why you haven't posted! Hope Luke is still hangning in there and you are doing okay! I get nervous when we don't hear from you!!!

AFM, I totally overdid it yesterday. I think I just had this huge nesting urge. I wanted to get everything completely organized and cleaned. Dh was working on the garage and I worked on the inside. I had just a couple boxes left in our room. It was all decorations and I got most of the stuff hung up and put out. Our living room now finally feels like home!!! I still have to do Abby's room and have dh take the stuff I'm not using down to the basement. Then that area will be clear in our room and we can put up the crib. Dh keeps saying that we have tons of time and I just want things done now! Ugh. I wish I could get him to understand!! We were supposed to finally get our washer and dryer on Sat but dh wanted to organize the garage and basement so we are getting them tonight. I can't wait!!! Then I can finally go through baby clothes that other people are letting me borrow/have and get them washed. I'm also ticked at dh b/c he never wants to talk about baby names. With Abby we didn't name her until she was going into surgery and I just kept thinking that if she died that she at least needed a name- so I just told dh to pick. it was so stressful. Dh wants to wait until this baby is born and then decide. I know this time will be different (hopefully) b/c as far as we know he is healthy, but it still freaks me out. I know I have 12 weeks, but I'm stressing trying to get everything done!!! We have literally done nothing to prepare for this baby!!!

Sorry that got so long!

Hey guys. I am here, just spending lots of time with my sister and nephew while they are here. It's so great to see her! It's been much too long.

So far things are going ok. I am so sore from being up more but at this point I can be up more. I need to be to build my muscles back up.
I have been having some contractions. Some really strong. A couple of times I almost went in to L&D. Really hoping to make it until all of my family leaves in a week and a half. If everything goes smoothly until then, I will be 34 weeks! That is our ultimate goal. We are getting so close!

I have an NST today. I am hoping it is a quick and easy as last time. My fluid was on the low side last time but I have had that happen before and then the next week it was better. My doctor has said that many time the fluid pockets are not as easily measured one seek because limb or umbilical cord is in the way or the way the baby is positioned so it isn't precise.

I just counted and I have had 18 ultrasounds! Today's will be 19. That's a lot!

Hey everyone!

Sarah - I'm glad to see that you are still hanging in there! You have made it so far, I'm sure that you can make it just a couple more weeks til you reach your goal. Then you are going to have to set the goal of 37 weeks! That is so nice that you have been able to spend time with your sister and nephew, I bet that has lifted your spirits for sure. Hope you appointment went well today!

Mel - I can't believe you only have 24 days left! Wow, it's getting so close. Are you ready?

Megs - sorry, I didn't mean to scare you about 2 kids! I'm sure it was just difficult because I was watching two kids AND hugely pregnant! I'm hoping that it is a smooth transition. DS is a little bit younger than yours and I'm trying to prep him for whats going to come, but it's hard to know if he is really understanding. I guess we will find out soon! And no, I have done NOTHING! Haha! I don't know what we are having so I haven't really been in the mood to go shopping. I am planning to go through my sons baby clothes and my neices baby clothes in the next couple of weeks and then finally head into babies r us and pick out some essentials. I keep waiting for the panic to set in, but I'm just not too worried.

Ruby - No, of course I haven't started the hospital paperwork! :) I actually asked DH the other day if we should try and do a tour of hospital since I haven't delivered there before. I keep meaning to look online, but I'm just too busy! You are much more on top of things than I am. I have been feeling pretty good, just tired. I never seem to feel rested in the morning. I can't wait for that to go away. I hope you get some good news at your appointment!

AFM - nothing to report here. Just enjoying feeling the baby kick all day!

melfab15

Ash- I agree, I never feel rested in the morning either. It's so hard!

Well running my last errands to get ready for the baby. The baby is packed and I will finish packing today. I'm also taking DS to the library to get books about being a big brother/having a baby, etc. He is really excited about the baby but I don't know if he really understands that the baby will be staying here ;)

question: after dtd last night I have been spotting with brownish/pink discharge and am really sore down there. Did this happen to anybody else? Is this normal? My next OB appt is Friday, I go every week now for a check and an NST.

Mel- what did you pack for baby? What will you pack for you?

Ash- I was given the hospital paperwork in August... Its annoying and I'm not done yet. I just need to commit to getting it done!!

Sarah- so glad your still here, you are making such a good home for your little one!

AFM- I can't believe how much I pee. The doctors told me to drink more- to hopefully increase my amniotic fluid... But maybe I'm overdoing it- I pee non-stop!

Every week I develop a new obsession. Last week it was over receiving blankets and bottles. The week before it was about baby socks.

My new obsession= crib vs cradle vs bassinet.

What are your sleeping plans for baby upon home arrival?

esarah
01-25-2011, 05:23 PM
Ruby- I had all my kids sleep in a bassinet right next to the bed until they were too big for it. I loved having them at arms reach and they were right there so I could hear them breathing or put a hand on them or just pull them into bed with me to nurse without getting out of bed. It's so nice not to have to get up. This time I don't have my bassinet so I will put the pack and play right next to the bed with the bassinet attachment on it this time. It won't be as convenient but it will still be nice to have him right there even if I have to sit up more to pull him into bed with me.

On packing for the baby, you will need your carseat, ready to go, clothes (Some people like to have a newborn and a 0-3 month outfit or a preemie and a newborn outfit because you just don't know how big they are going to be. Even estimates can be off by a lot. With my oldest I just had a newborn outfit and it was a little big but it was fine.), some blankets and then most hospitals send you home with at least a few diapers and some wipes. I have packed for me (did that a long time ago) but I haven't packed for the baby yet. If he comes now he won't need anything while he is in the NICU. You really don't need much as long as baby has clothes, blankets and a carseat. As long as the hospital sends you home with a few diapers and some wipes, that is enough to get home, as long as you go straight home.

Ash- How's it going? Do you have as much snow as we do?

Mel- At the point you are at, I wouldn't worry about the spotting much, especially if it stays just spotting. It's totally normal for as far along as you are, dtd or not!

My appointment went well. My fluids is on the low side of normal so they aren't too worried. Luke heart rated kept doing funny things for a while and they seemed a bit worried but then they got a nice strip and decided he was ok. I was supposed to see my OB tomorrow but I moved my appointment to next Wednesday after all my family has left. I will be a day shy of 34 weeks that day if I make it!

melfab15

rubystar-
* for the baby I packed things like swaddle blankets, onsies, going home outfit, pacis, burp cloths, socks, sleepers, etc. I also packed hats, little hand mittens, and nail clippers.
When I had DS, I packed nothing and left him in the hospital stuff the whole time, with this baby I want him to wear his own things and to cuddle him up more :)

*for myself i packed thins like underwear, nursing tanks, nursing cover, boppy, lounge pants, breast pads, nipple cream, shirts, slippers, toiletries, etc.

esarah
01-25-2011, 08:13 PM
The nail clippers are a good idea. They don't have them at our hospital and if we brought them in to the NICU the nurses were not allowed to clip their nails. We had to do it ourselves.
You can bring just a couple of outfits or you can bring enough for the time you will be there like Mel said. My experiences have been different because my second and third were in the NICU and couldn't wear clothes the first week or two they were in the hospital so I had lots of time to bring them clothes. With #1 I brought some clothes and jammies for her but she had so much amniotic fluid in her tummy that she kept spitting up so much of it that she had to change every hour or two so she wore the hospital stuff. I just used the hospital blankets to swaddle her but since I am using woombies for Luke I may bring that for him to get used to from the start.

Definitely bring warm clothes if it is going to be cold where you are. Blankets go a long way too though. They can't wear coats or snowsuits in the car seat, it's not safe, so warm clothes are good.

has anybody heard from starlettemax? She is before me but I havent heard from her in forever!

AshS789

Hey everyone!

Ruby - I felt like I totally overpacked last time when I had DS. Maybe I am not like others, but I ended up staying in my hospital gown the whole time I was there. The nurses were always checking my bleeding and then trying to breastfeed every couple of hours, it was just easier to be in the gown or at least thats what I was thinking at the time. I'm not sure what I am going to do this time around, but that was the easiest for me at the time. I also just kept DS in the hospital shirt and blanket the whole time but then put him in a coming home outfit on the day we left. All I really needed for him was the car seat, his coming home outfit, his blanket, and I outfitted my diaper bag with diapers, wipes, pacifier, etc. I think everyone is different though. I like to keep things basic but I may be missing out! :) I can't believe it's even time to start thinking about this. I'm not ready!

Also, I had DS in the pack in play next to the bed for two weeks. At that point, DH went back to work and we put DS in his crib in his room. I'm thinking we will do the same thing this time around. DH gets crabby if he doesn't get his sleep!! I don't want to hear about the next day when he complains about being tired when I was actually the one getting up with the baby all night and trying to be mom to DS and baby during the day. I might snap!

Mel - No, I haven't heard from starlette, but I did notice the other day she is due next week right? I wonder if she has had her baby! Sorry about the spotting, I have heard thats normal after dtd. I wouldn't know since DH is keeping his hands off, but thats a whole other story! :) That's great that you are all packed and ready to go. Has your dr started checking you for progress yet? I know you have an induction date, but maybe you will go earlier!

Sarah - glad to hear that you are doing well and the baby is still cooking! I know you will make it to 34 weeks! Yes, we have a ton of snow. I live up in the hills in Suncrest and it just seems to keep piling up. I love it!

Nothing too exciting to report here. One week til my next appointment! I get to have an u/s so I am excited to see the baby. DS had a 103 degree fever last night so I was up all night with him and then still came to work bright and early this morning. I'm exhausted!

megs&david
01-26-2011, 07:39 PM
Ashley- Abby was up last night a bunch too and is running a fever of 102.5 today. Hope they both feel better soon so we can get some more sleep! I was like you too. I stayed in my hospital gown. Abby was in the ICU and I still wore my hospital gown with my robe and slippers! Just easier and I didn't want to bleed on any of my own stuff! Hope the next week flies by so you can see your little one again! Hope you still can keep it a surprise on the sex. We've had several now and the doctors all ask if we know b/c they say our little boy keeps flashing us. I probably would have figured it out!

ruby- we did the pack n play with Abby too. it was really convenient to have it right next to the bed and I thought a bassinet may be a waste of money since the PNP worked just fine. My sister has a bassinet and it has wheels. She loves it b/c she can easily move it around the house and have him sleep wherever she is.

On packing, like I said, I wore the hospital gown and mesh underwear the whole time. I just thought it was more comfortable and didn't want to ruin my own stuff. Plus a lot of women get the sweats after delivery. I remember waking up the second night after delivery soaking wet. It's just the hormones but no one warned me that would happen. I mean I was soaked and i had to completely change. That happened to me for a while but was the worst while I was in the hospital. I would pack some comfy clothes and nursing tops, just in case. I packed all of Abby's stuff in her diaper bag, but she was in the ICu and didn't end up needing it. Also you will want your boppy. I also brought some makeup and dh made fun of me but it was nice to be able to put a little on after I showered and I felt so much better!

Mel- haven't heard from her! Sorry your week is so busy! Hope you can get some good sleep so you can endure! You are getting so close now!

Sarah- get some rest!

I was able to get a good nap in today and feel so much better. Abby was up so much last night and is now sick. I think we both needed a good nap today. She doesn't have a fever right now but she had some tylenol. I hope I don't get sick and I hope she sleeps way better tonight! I hate when she is sick!!!

Hi Ladies!
Thanks so much for all of your suggestions for what to pack/bring to the hospital. I'm getting excited to pack that bag!

Also- thanks for the imput regarding the sleeping arrangments..I'm starting to obsess about it but need to let it go. We have a cradle, he should be ok.

Is anyone friends with Starlette on facebook? I've been thinking/wondering about her too. I hope she is OK and enjoying this time before baby arrives.

AFM- I have an ultrasound in the morning. I know this baby has moved a bit so I hope the missing amniotic fluid is found! And, I JUST finished my thank you cards... writing cards has never been such a chore for me!

We finally picked a name for baby but it's a secret until his birthday. For now, we have nicknamed him Bubba!

ruby- so jealous that you have a name :(
I am really starting to get annoyed that we do not have a name yet. I am a total type A personality so the fact that we do not have this crucial puzzle piece done yet is DRIVING ME NUTS

OB appt for me first time tomorrow. I will have my NST and I think he will check me. I hope I am like a 1 or at least thinning out or something. DH and I have DTD 2x in the past 4 days and each time I have spotted so I am hoping that something is happening down there. Fingers crossed.

Also, totally bummed . . my bbs started the leaking process. I hate that yellow stuff that comes out, it grosses me out :(

Dh is convinced we are naming this baby Hudson. I'm not a fan of this name and still think it should be Samuel. Ugh! He is being so stubborn. I told him that I'm just going to wait until he leaves the hospital and fill out the information with his name being Samuel! I really don't like Hudson.

Oh my goodness, I've missed several arrivals! I'm so happy for you girls. I'm still hanging in here. I should be delivering via c-section on the 1st of February. I'm as big as a house and sore down there. I feel like those weird water snake balloon things that are doughnut shaped and when you grip them they slide down. My belly keeps doing things that make me think my water is just going to break. I hope not, I hope she stays in there just a 3.5 more days! I'm so excited to hear about all the talk about going to the hospital, packing the bag, preparing, and nesting. That is what I've been going through for the last few weeks too. I'll try to come in and read some more...I didn't get very far, just peaking in to see who's still here.

Thanks for asking about me; I'll definitely update when Emiliana gets here.

And if anyone wants to add me on FB my name is Adriana Gil-Wilkerson :)

Starlette- Good to see you! You are SO close! I didn't realize just how close until you posted. Good luck with everything, I can't wait to hear how things go!

Ruby- A cradle will be great! Just something you can keep close to your bed will work great!

Mel- I hope baby is not sunnyside up but that can change so quickly so hopefully if he is he will rotate soon.

My baby keeps flipping! I am so frustrated. At my NST Monday they told me it would be unlikely that he would flip again at all but he had flip head up and head down and head up and head down almost every day. I am wondering if he is growing well because he is moving so much and my amniotic fluid is on the low side (if it were high it would be more understandable). I wonder if he is small. I have a full growth scan Monday and then NST so we should find out more then. I just want him to be head down.

I did make it past 33 weeks now though!!! This is my second longest pregnancy so far! I am so thrilled about that. Hopefully we will make it at least 2 weeks more to 35 weeks!

Good luck Sarah, hope you make it to 35 weeks and the baby cooperates.
Starlett - good luck! I didn't realize you were due so soon either.

Hope everyone else is good and hanging in there. Life sure is different with an infant. In a good, but exhausting way. Can't wait to read all your birth stories!

Wells- welcome to mommyhood :)

good news: baby was just being difficult, he is not sunny side up, just hiding :) he didn't end up checking me though he said he will next time. My NST was great though, lost 1-2 lbs
