I took xenical years ago for weight loss before officially being diagnosed with PCOS, and it was terrible :( I did lose some weight, but the side effects made me stop taking them. Uncontrollable poop! Really, nasty orange poop. It was very hard to hold. *sorry*
Just curious to know if you are IR? Metformin has really helped me lose weight and control cravings. The side effects for the first few weeks can be hard, but it subsides after your body gets use to it. But the secret is the extended release kind. Try to avoid generic.
Hope this helps,
Lilli

yes Lilli, I am IR. Diabeties runs very strongly in my family. 2 years ago I took xenical, lost @ 20 lbs and got pregnant with my miracle baby girl. Although last time I did not take metformin. This time I am taking both, so Im not sure wich is helping me loose the weight, but hey it's working. I am on 1500 mg metformin ER and xenical 120 mg 3 X a day. I also take a prenatal vitamin. I am also doing the IR diet and I love it!
