Okay, I started taking Met about two weeks ago at 500MG twice a day. My Dr. said I could start out at 1 a day then work my way up to 2. I was doing fine with 1 day, so after a few days at 1, I went ahead & upped it to 2. He also said that I could take two at a time, if I wanted too.
I don't get the severe stomach cramps or naseau, but I do get intestinal problems every so often. I try to take 1 at lunch & 1 at dinner, but because I'm also on Adipex (appitite suppressant), I've noticed that if I don't eat enough then I have intestinal problems.
I don't want to take myself off the Adipex because I really don't like how I was before it (ie, eating like a horse, dibilitating hunger pains, gas for hours on end after lunch, etc.). I haven't had any refined carbs to my knowledge, the only carbs I eat is what is low on the GI scale.
Plus, it doesn't feel like it's doing anything, but then again that could be because of the amount of food I have to force myself to eat so I don't have intestinal problems.
I have lost about 10lbs, but that's because of the apitite suppressant that I'm on. I'm at a loss as to what I can do to keep from getting sick to my stomach. Any suggestions?
