Okay here is my problem that has been on my mind a lot lately. I have a son that will be 1 the middle of next month. I know about that time you will try to or soon take away all bottle feedings. My ds Tyler will eat dinner around 4-5 in the afternoons and then he has an 8oz bottle right before bed around 6:15pm. He still gets up around 4am for another bottle (I know I can hear you all gasping- and I know that he gets up for a bottle because we keep feeding him). Anyway, he goes right back to sleep till about 6:30- 7am
I have cut down on his 4am feeding to 6oz and plan on taking an half an ounce at a time till he takes none (wish me luck). Anywho I am wondering about the time when we cut out both bottles. Won't 5pm till 7am be a long time without him eating? Is that possible? Will I have to move up his dinner to right before bed time or will I have to give him a snack before bed?? I am so confused! What do you guys do?

I hope you understood this and can help, it has been driving me crazy and of course dh doesn't help, I am the mom I figure these things out

My kids didnt have bottles but I cut out the nursings around this time. I gave them a Sippy cup of milk before bed. Honestly they still have a cup of milk a lot of times before bed. A lot of times they would have a sippy cup of milk and a small snack, like gold fish crackers or something. HTH, Good Luck

I think maybe a small snack with his last cup of milk would be good. My dd will eat dinner and about 2hrs later have a cup of milk before bed. She has another cup of milk when she wakes up about 12hrs later. 14hr does seem like a long time without food, but some babies can do it. Good luck with weaning the night feeding and from the bottles.
