Usually bedtime is 830 for Lucy. Emma usually goes to bed at 730-8. I have been thinking about putting Lucy to bed around 730-8pm. I have thought of doin this..but now that I am joining this gym Id like to go around 8pm. We had thought about goin at 9 and then be home by 1030. But I have decided that getting there at 8 pm and then working out for one hour I would then be home by no later than 930 and still get to spend more 'quality' time with dh...hehe

So anyways..if Lucy goes to bed at 730...she usually gets up at 7am...thats 11.5 hrs of sleep. That isnt too much is it?

Just wanted to see what you guys thought.

I put mine down around 9 and they get up between 8-8:30, so about 11-11.5 hrs sleep per night. I am not a morning person and the older 2 have afternoon K so we can sleep in a bit.

TJ is five, and he goes down at 8pm, Misty is almost 10 and she goes down about 830pm, and on weekends they both stay up til 9pm.

They both wake up on weekdays around 630am for school, and on weekends around 7am.

Emma is only 3 months old and she goes down around 8:30 to 9:30 every night and sleeps to between 5:30 to 7:30 I wonder sometimes if that's too long to go without her eating, but I figure if she's hungry, she'll wake up! So no, I don't think that's too long.

Thanks girls...

So I guess thats an alright amount of sleep. lol I just didnt want to feel like I had my kids in bed too early. Its easier to do since it gets dark so early. I know once it gets light again there is no way I would be able to do a 730 nighty night. hehe

Oh definately do it Lisa. You might want to start moving her back in 10-15min incrememnts. with it being so dark she will definately sleep for you!

LM -- I want to live at your house. I'd kill for 11 or 12 hours of sleep per night. That'd be heaven :)

Nah -- I don't think it's too much for Lucy. Sounds like a good plan to me.

LM I don't think that's too much sleep. Warning though if she doesn't need that much sleep she will probably start getting up earlier in the morning. That's how it is with Arianna. It's basically 10 to 10 1/2 hours no matter what time she goes to bed. If she goes to bed at 8:00 she's up at 6:00. If she goes to bed at 9:00 she's up at 7:00. You may just have to play with it to see what happens.

Here is a website that gives approximate amount of sleep kids need each night. http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/general/sleep/sleep.html
It says that preschoolers need between 10-12 hours so thats right in range. And shes not going to go be asleep as soon as you put her down so she will probably be getting like 11. Just beware that she might start waking up earlier in the morning! :o My son gets up at the same time every morning regardless of the time he goes to sleep, My daughter on the the other hand sleeps about 11 hours everynight so if she goes to be an hour early shes awake an hour early. :?
