Good morning mamas!
Yes, October did go by incredibly fast! Now I have to brace myself for the real New England cold that's coming. Yesterday, though--what great weather for trick-or-treaters, it must have been 65 degrees!
Hopefully Ruby will be in better spirits today...Halloween brought out the worst in her it seemed! She was like a little werewolf  ...
My MIL is visiting tonight, and I'm not too psyched about it. She (understandably) wants to hold Ruby all the time, which is fine. But when Ruby starts crying/fussing, she doesn't do much to try to sooth her...she's of the "it's good for babies to cry" mentality. Plus, sometimes Ruby is just happier sitting in her Boppy and playing with toys, but this woman just HAS to be holding her constantly. (heh heh- I just called my MIL "this woman"...can you tell we're not best friends?) Arggghhh...MIL's!

Happy November!!
We did pretty well last night. Matt had taken some really long naps during the day, so he was ready to party last night. DH and I didn't dress up like planned -- we were exhausted; but we dressed Matt up (like Yoda) and hit two different parties.
Our neighborhood gathers the kids together and does pumpkins (with markers), snacks, candy and hay ride. We just ran around the yard surrounding the neighborhood pool.
Then, we headed to our church. Was indoor/outdoor, so we spent time in both places. Outdoor was definitely cooler, so we spent a lot of time running around the parking lot. Matt didn't care at all about the little rides, games, etc. He just wanted to run around like a wildman. I did manage to get him a few suckers (he loves dum-dums) for future bribes, though :)
Then, he slept through the night :D From 8:30 till 6:30. Not his usual 12 hours, but we'll take it. I still have to do a bunch of laundry tonight, but I was able to shampoo the carpet in his nursery yesterday afternoon. Was disgusting, but I think I got up all of the "sickness".
No time for personals, but will hopefully be back in a bit!!

Hannah did great last night said Trick or Treat and Thank You and Happy Halloween at some houses. Everyone just got a kick out of her butchering her knock knock joke hey but she's 3. She'd say knock knock and they do the who's there, lettuce, and after they said lettuce who she'd say I dont' know!
She made a killing we went to like 10 houses maybe 15 and she has a bag full of candy, chips, toys etc. One house gave her this HUGE lunchbag filled with stuff. I hid most of it last night so she only has a few items in her treat bag. Now on to Turkey day I can not wait. My mom has the best stuffing. Today we are off to get my level 2 ultrasound to see baby so excited and nervous. TTYL

My lands...
Lastnight I dd three french braids in Lucys hair so it was be wavy today. She wanted it like that a few days ago becaues she thought it was cool. SOOOO I did that lastnight when she was dead tired and crying. So I take it down today and its all pretty and wavy. SHe hated it! She wanted it done like I did lastnight with the curling iron and hair spray! Sooooo being the sucker of a mom I am..I got the curling iron out and did her hair. IT looked so cute. She looks to grown up wiht it like that though. You know how the girls are waring it loose half as$ curls? Thats how it looked. My lands....at 5 she is wanting me to curl it. Im not goin to do that for her all the time. I just caved because it was picture day today. Geez. hehehe

Hey girls just a quick drive by. I'm at work for the time being, but I'll be leaving soon. It appears I'm have/am getting what Arianna had/has. She hasn't thrown up since 10:30 last night, but she got up at 3:30. I couldn't get her to lay back down in her crib, so I put her in bed with me. She woke at a little after 6:00. She drank some Gatorade and ate some crackers. I decided I was going to come in late just so I could make sure she kept it down. I wasn't feeling great (thought it was from her being up during the night and then in bed with me), so I asked DH to watch her while I laid down for a bit. About 7:30 I woke back up and thought my tummy wasn't feeling great. Arianna got all fussy and clingy, so I couldn't even get in the shower. She fell back to sleep, so I laid her down and got in the shower. By the time I got out I knew I was getting it. I haven't thrown up, but I feel real sick to my stomach. My head is hurting and I've got it coming out the other end (sorry TMI). I had to come in for a little while, because I had to wire some money to a couple of our Directors. All my bosses are away at a Director's meeting, so there was no one here to do it. I could have done it from home, but I don't know my passwords off the top of my head. I'll be taking a copy home to keep there. Anyway that's what's going on with us.
Talk to you girls later.

Good morning ladies! I can't believe it's November already.
Jamie ~ that is too cute.
Leslie ~ hope you feel better soon.
LisaMarie ~ I have a terrible memory, I forget everything.
Bella ~ good morning to you, too!
Michelle ~ how are you doing? I noticed you posted in October's thread!
Cristen ~ are you out there? How's Ms. Emma?
Hello to everyone else. AF finally arrived today!!! Yay, I was so relieved. Needless to say I am PMSing and I took it out on poor DH this morning. So I haven't heard from him since, he's probably waiting until I calm down some. I guess it didn't help either that I was running late for work this morning. Oh well, he'll get over it. I'm getting over my insurance whoas, I guess waiting a year or two more to TTC is not as bad as I thought. I have my appt. with my Endo tomorrow, hopefully she will put me back on Met.
Esteban's thrush is not any better. His doctor told me to repeat the treatment again for another 10 days. Do you ladies think it would help if I boil his bottles/paci every night? He also woke up with a really bad cough Sunday morning, so he's been sleeping in his swing at night so that he's able to breath. Since then he's been having a hard time falling asleep, he gets so cranky. When he's finally falling asleep he wants me sitting or standing next to his swing until he falls asleep. If I leave, he immediately starts to cry. Hopefully he will get over this cold/congestion soon.

Leslie - I hope you are Arianna are feeling better soon.
Aleida - Sorry I don't know anything about thrush to know if boiling his stuff would help. I hope he feels better soon!
Mara - I can only handle fried rice and crab rangoon from a Chinese restaurant so I'm not any help with that one. My aunt is Chinese so you would think I'd love the stuff cause that's what they always serve at family parties, but Nope, I'm a pain in the patootie when it comes to food.
Audrey can now walk! Sunday afternoon she just took off and she hasn't stopped since then! She's loving her new skill! We've video taped her - she is so proud of herself!
I've been throwing up all a.m. - even at stroller aerobics I had to run to the bathroom. It's been a lovely morning. I just want to crawl back into bed, but that's not possible.
Kelli - Sorry about all your Dr troubles. That really sucks. Maybe you could have the surgeon call the Ped himself and they could talk Dr to Dr. That might be more effective if they are willing? Also, ask your pharmasict. They are the most up to date on meds anyway. GL

Aleida - Definately sterilize everything. I found that sterilizing paci's and bottle helped to clear up the thrush. When you don't sterilize you are reintroducing it on the paci's etc. What antibiotics is he on?

good morning ladies, oops, well afternoon now.
I have been working all morning on a stupid powerpoint presentation that I am putting together for a training I have to do next week. My brain is fried!
Kallie's birthday is on friday, so I am trying to decide cookie cake or regular cake for the guests....Kallie (gonna have to start to get in the habit of typing her name the post-adoption way) is going to have her own personal cake...but I can't decide what to get for everyone else. We are just having something small, like 10-20 people, and Misty's birthday is in two weeks, and she will have a cake, too....So...I dunno. What do you all think?
We had so much fun trick or treating last night. We went to this rich neighborhood and had a blast. They were so nice to us! The kids got a buttload of candy, which DH proceeded to eat when we got home. He had to take Kallie home early b/c she was so tired she was fussy. She was so cute, though.
Kelli, so sorry about your doctor woes. I hope you get this taken care of sooner and in a more efficient matter!!!
Leslie, sorry that you are so sick!! I hate that for you and little Arianna. (our cat's name is Ariane, too...--pronounced Arianna, just spelled different).
TJ- i hope DH comes home soon and relieves you of your loneliness.
Nopey- Kallie is now walking, too. Isn't it the cutest thing?!?!?
Michelle, i LOVE Mason's bat costume. SO ADORABLE. When you said bat, I actually thought a baseball bat, and was wondering how that would look!
Ok, gotta go finish my presentation....back to the grind.
mara232
11-01-2006, 02:13 PM
TracyR - Definately go with cake!!
Aleida - A was on that as well. After his did not clear up the first time, what I started doing was dipping a q-tip into the medicine and rubbing it on the inside of his mouth, roof of his mouth and his tongue. Since it is supposed to kill on contact. Maybe try that out. It helped when I started rubbing it on his mouth.
Okay - let the countdown begin. 1.5hrs to go. Just finished up some paperwork for our tenant we are evicting. We have NO RIGHTS as landlords it sucks. The building is for sale - I want this headache GONE!!!
I so wish I had more stuff to do at work. UGH. The days go so slow...

Just got Piper down for a nap. She's only been taking one nap a day for the past 3 days. Sometimes she still needs two. But these have been great (3-3 1/2hr naps) thanks for that ;) I'm not sure she's completely ready to transition to 1 nap, but if she will sleep until 5 I can't really complain.
Took her to a couple of the neighbor's houses last night. I wasn't going to, but I changed my mind. A friend of ours brought their 2 1/2 year old over too, so we went to a few more houses down the road with them. It was chilly last night. Piper didn't care at all. She was running around the yard, driveway and street in her costume for about 2hrs.
I finally called and made an appt with my urologist. What fun  I'm to the point where I want to beg them to "make up" a new surgery just for me. I don't see why they can't just cut a small slit into my kidney and suck the stones out with a straw. Sounds like a great idea to me. I just passed my 20th stone in 4 years last week. 8 of those were in the last 8 months of pregnancy. That is just absolutely unacceptable to me! Do I sound crazy? LOL I would rather have surgery than to pass these suckers 1 by freaking 1. I don't think they really do that, but I'm getting desperate here.
OK I'm done--for now :)
TJ--Happy Birthday to Haylie!!!!! :D
Tracy--Piper had her 1st ever sucker this week. It was a tootsie pop  that she had no trouble having the entrie thing in her mouth. We used that to keep her sitting while we met with the realtor.
WB2--We gave out ziplock baggies full of candy a couple years ago. It made passing out the candy real easy! Are you finding out the gender of your baby?
Karen--Awwwwe too cute! :D
Leslie--Sorry you guys are both sick now! I hope it blows over quickly.
Aleida--Mara is right. Definitely sterilize the paci's and bottles. If you have a dishwasher that will do it--you don't have to actually boil them. Or you could use a sanitizing spray...maybe do both. The antibiotic he's on is the standard treatment for thrush. Hopefully this round clears it up.
Pauly--Yay for Audrey!! Hope your m/s passes soon!
Ok so don't think we live in complete filth LOL We pretty much only shower in our tub, so it actually doesn't look that bad. In our other bathroom, no one uses the tub. Piper still takes her bath in her little inflatable turtle tub. When she is in the real tub everyday I'm sure I will clean it then! I hate cleaning, so a little dirt doesn't bother me at all. I vaccuum about every other day to keep the dog hair up though--so the floors are really clean :D

Yep, I was actually more sick with Audrey. Except then, I didn't have a little one to take care of and I could lay down whenever I wanted. That freedom is gone. I've worked at home for about 7 years now, so I had that luxury to do what I wanted (plus I'm my own boss). Now Audrey is my boss. Hee hee!!!
TracyR -what does Kallie like better? The b-day cake didn't go over to well with Audrey. She didn't like it at all. I wished I had done a cookie or ice cream cake. Oh well.

Another post for Aleida...
You can also try a natural remedy called gentian violet to treat the trush. There is also another medication(you can discuss with your doctor) that treats thrush faster:
Pediatr Infect Dis J. 2002 Dec;21(12):1165-7. Links
Comparison of fluconazole and nystatin oral suspensions for treatment of oral candidiasis in infants.Goins RA, Ascher D, Waecker N, Arnold J, Moorefield E.
Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, San Antonio, TX, USA.
Oral thrush is a common condition in young infants. Nystatin treatment is associated with frequent recurrences and difficulty in administration. Fluconazole was compared with nystatin for the treatment of oral candidiasis in infants. Thirty-four infants were randomized to either nystatin oral suspension four times a day for 10 days or fluconazole suspension 3 mg/kg in a single daily dose for 7 days. Clinical cures for nystatin were 6 of 19 (32%), and those for fluconazole were 15 of 15 (100%), P < 0.0001. In this small pilot study fluconazole was shown to be superior to nystatin suspension for the treatment of oral thrush in otherwise healthy infants.
Nystatin will work - just keep at it. I think it is considered the "safest" stuff out there. Try the q-tip method - I bet it clears up in a day or 2. Good Luck.

I didn't think you were filthy! I wash the tub as soon as I or marko (well he washes after himself) take a bath. We have a jacuzzi tub and it is sooo much easier to clean when the dirt/scum is "fresh"..if that made sense. In the main bathroom before A was using it - I never washed the tub. I would just "hose" it down to get the dust off one day a week. No one was using it so it could not get dirty. Now I wash it 1X a week. Funny for a baby - he gets a ring around the tub pretty bad!! Who knew!! :P My MIL washes all my floors 1X a week. I think I need to up that to 2 or 3 times a week. The hardwoods get so so dusty! As for vacuuming - we have carpet inthe bedrooms and I try to do that 1X a week.
With working FT and commuting I am gone anywhere between 50-65 hrs a week. So it is hard to get to all the laundry and cleaning. When I have my Mondays off I do some cleaning during his naps and we go and get groceries together. When I work M-F like this week - it is impossible to get anything done. MIL washed two loads of our clothes yesterday and washed A's clothes today. And knowing her she cleaned the kicthen and the bathrooms. I really do love her - she is so thoughtful. In return I make kick-ass dinner those two days she babysits and make sure she feel sat home.

Terra can they not do the outpatient surgery on the stones basically they use a laser type thing that breaks up the stones and you pass the sandy remains of them??? I'd have to look up the actual name.
Yes we want/need to know because of rooming issues what sex the baby is but today at the level 2 US the baby had the cord between its legs so they THINK its a girl but the cord could very well be hiding a winky too. We have 2 regular US and a level 2 this month still so we should know. i wanted to know before thanksgiving but doesn't look like it. Either way US was great baby is 9-10oz growing right on tract everything looks perfect so that is good enough for me.

Ok I'll stop calling you WB2--now that this genius has just figured out you are the other Karen LOL I thought that was it, but didn't want to post with that and look stupid if I was wrong! That great the baby is growing on track! Hope you can get a peek at the parts to find out if it's a boy or girl.
Lisa--I too can picture a "what the hell are you doing mom?" look on porkchop's face! ROFL!!!!
Mara--I'm glad you don't think we are filthy LOL We have more of a clutter problem. That is an excellent idea to clean the tub as you are getting out. If I just kept something in the shower with me, I might clean it :) I have thought about scrubbing it while I was showering. Sounded like a bad idea though...I want to get that thing you hang from the shower head and it sprays a cleaner all around every day. I will have to step it up a notch if we get this other house. We want ceramic tile in the kitchen and I know that will need to be cleaned.
Ok gotta get a shower while Piper is asleep.

Terra - I find using the stuff for inbetween showers helps keep everything cleaner. Just spray after a shower. I also prefer my one piece tub/shower than the tiles. Tiles are so HARD to clean. I will NEVER scrub grout again! :P
krissy - Happy 5th anniversary!! :)
LM - I hope I am NOT your secret pal! Mara DON'T do country! LOL :P
Well - DH and I are planning a trip to Chicago maybe Dec 15 weekend. We'll take the train up and stay in a snazzy hotel! My GF lives in Chicago and I promised to come visit here. Been promising since before I got PG! She says Michigan avenue is gorgeous then for Christmas. I just need to make sure our church kids christmas show is not that weekend.
Okay 16 min to go!!! :P

Hi Everybody!!
Since you were all so sweet to put out the welcome mat ... I will definitely make a point to make it to the board (officially :) ) more often. Though I am somewhat out of the loop with the preschool/baby stuff, I remember bits and pieces here and there. All I can say for sure is that the time flies by too fast -- but even those of you with infants can attest to that. I remember when my boys were newborns and I first saw smaller newborns -- blew my mind! It does bring back memories, especially now that my soon-to-be eleven-year old is almost as tall as me
Hope everyone's trick-or-treating was fun. We live in the sticks but close to a village that goes completely all-out for Halloween, to the point that more-motivated sticks dwellers set up their own tables in town so they don't miss out on giving out candy. There are haunted barns, lawn parties....it is the best! Wish my boys still wanted to be puppies and firefighters and not gory monsters, though....enjoy every bit of their sweetness cause it's gone too soon!
I promise to try to get up to speed on personals as time goes on. Happy afternoon and evening to everyone!!

Pauly~ Did I read that you are pregnant?? Congratulations!! I hope you m/s passes soon!
Terra~ I often clean the shower while I'm in it. My mother squeegees hers out after every use. She says it keeps the soap scum from sticking. She cleans houses for a living so she knows her stuff! Our local tv station tested that shower cleaner thingy. They said it didn't work well at all. :?
Hello to everyone else! Hope you are all having a wonderful day.
BTW~ Willow just got her second molar in. It was much easier than the first one!

OMG I have to share this recipe with you all. My co-worker made these, they're called oreo truffles, but somebody dubbed them oreogasms!!!
Oreo Truffle Balls
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
16 ounces oreos, smashed up
Enough best quality (white, milk, or dark) chocolate chopped to measure about 2 cups
In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese for a couple minutes to smooth out. Add in just over 1/2 of the broken oreos and mix until thoroughly combined. Add in the rest of the oreos and mix just until combined - some bigger pieces are ok.
Cover bowl and chill for at least 2-3 hours. Scoop out dough with a heaping teaspoon and roll into balls. Cover and place back in the refrigerator on wax paper to firm up.
Slowly melt the chocolate in a double boiler, stirring occasionally, until most of the chunks are smooth. Remove and stir to melt the rest of the chocolate. Dip each truffle ball and set aside on wax paper, a silpat or parchment paper. If the chocolate mixture starts to firm up, place back over the double boiler to slowly remelt, or gently rewarm in the microwave. Store in the refrigerator after all are dipped.

Oh you naughty girls! LOL
Ok so maybe I should think about planning ahead for dinner. Last night we had individual schwan's pizzas. Dunno about tonight--usually just ask DH what he wants when he's on his way home from work. That never works well though. We have group tonight, so he may not get anything! hahaha I admit, I am a horrible housewife LOL I don't cook or clean. :D
Mara--What kind of music do you listen to?
Amy--Too bad that shower thing doesn't work well...I may get one anyway. It has to be better than nothing! Willow is getting molars aleady!? Wow! Piper still only has 3 teeth.
I have seriously thought about cleaning while I was in the shower...but I didn't want to be one of those people who do their housework naked LOL
Piper is still asleep! Woo Hoo!

We squeegee down our shower after each use. Then we clean it well every couple of weeks. It really does make a huge difference (no soap scum) squeegeeing it every day and it only takes a few seconds.
Audrey has all 4 molars and is working on #'s 13 and 14 for teeth. I can see the red swollen spots, but no teeth yet. Audrey must have no tolerance for pain like me, because teething has been very difficult. That's what I am attributing most of her no sleeping to lately. Although it really could be anything.
Krissy - why not eat the oreos off of dh with a little whipped cream........sorry, had to do it!

Hi girls. Hi Lisamarie. I have been trying to keep up but everytime I click on the page "someone" wants my attention.
Spike is adorable. Beautiful. Demanding. Precious. LOUD. I'm blown away by how much I love him. Hubbalicious remains, my rock.
I guess I'm doing ok. Some days are worse than others. I cry at the drop of a hat and feel quite overwhelmed. I have a lot of support and am relishing being so close to my family - am very scared that it will end sooner, rather than later - but, what can you do?!
Breastfeeding was a TOTAL nightmare and we're having some 'teething' problems finding a formula that doesn't upset Spike's tummy. I havent had any time to do ANY work so $ is starting to get tight... this whole mummy thing is such a rocking boat, I'm really looking forward to getting my sea legs. I hope they don't take too much longer to arrive.
Ok, that's enough for now. I hope you're all having a great time. I think about you all and intend to keep up but just can not manage it at the moment.
Much love,
Prinn xxxx

Ever think about getting a sling???? That might help Spike...bein close to his mommys bosom!

Glad to hear from you Prin Prin!

Aww Prinny - as cliche as it sounds...it DOES get better!!! *hugs*
We were up at 4am when baby woke up. He screamed for an hour for no apparanet reason. I brought him to our bed that usually helps - but not this am. I gave him motirn and a bottle, changed his diaper, nothing. we watched TV, played with some toys, walked around the house. Nothing. He did calm down enough to play in my bathroom while I blow dried my hair..he is obsessed with the scale..and the cord of the blowdryer. :? He kept falling over so tired and laying his head down on the floor. We bundled him up to take to my moms and he was out by the time we got there. Now usually I will put him in the crib right away but my dad and his crazy mouth was cheery screaming this am and woke him right up. I called a few minutes ago to check on him and woke him up - my mom had *just* put him down. :? Oh boy. I am not sure what is wrong with him but if he still feels poorly - I should run him to the clinic to get those ears checked out. *sigh*

Good morning! Prinny, it's good to see you. Mara's right - a lot of us shed a lot of tears those first few weeks, between being overwhelmed, exhausted, a hormonal mess, and constantly in demand. I felt like, this time is so precious and so fleeting, I should be savoring every second of it. But you know what? It's a lot easier to enjoy Ava now!
How are you doing with recouperation from your c-section? It sounds like you are pressuring yourself to work, but make sure you rest as much as you can. If all you manage to accomplish these next few weeks is keeping that baby fed and dry with help from your family, that is plenty! As C kept reminding me, you've just had major abdominal surgery! Take it slow!!!!
Sherri
11-02-2006, 08:20 AM
Thinking of shifting Ava to her own room at night. She is now sleeping 7-8 hour stretches every couple of nights. She sleeps in a mini Co-Sleeper, a bassinet that attaches to our bed. She's getting a little big for it, and she takes naps in her crib in her own room, so I think she'd be fine. I'm just worried about me! Especially since going back to work, I feel like that's just more time lost, away from her. But maybe since we're both sleeping, it will be okay? I worry about whether she'll get upset if she wakes up away from us in the middle of the night. I just have such a hard time letting go, every step of the way. I had no idea I'd be such a clingy mom!

Sherri - Clingy mom here too!! :D It's hard moving them ouut the first time. I cried - I just wanted my baby so close but he outgrew comfy sleeping conditions and it was either move him out or move his crib in. It wasn't practical to move the crib in so we moved him out at 7 months (gees - I can't even remember!) He did just fine. *hugs*

We want more land..but its outrageous..like 5-10grand an acre. Just in our little town one acre goes for 20 grand.

Kokomo sucks - but outside of Kokomo is nice.
I was goign to take this class today:
As seen on The Learning Channel, CNN Good Morning America ABC World News, and at DaimlerChrysler Auburn Hills, Dr. Robert Titzer presents , "Your Baby Can Read."
Learn how to teach your child written language during the child's natural window of opportunity for learning. This very informative presentation is geared toward babies and toddlers, however, parent of older children will gain better understanding of how a child's brain functions, as well as tips to improve reading and comprehension.
They have a lecture here at work. Sounds hokey to me. How am I supposed to teach A to read when he won't sit still? Anyone ever hear of this? :?:
I was signed up but withdrew - don't want to seem liek a nutso mom pushing her kid to excel. I just want him happy, healthy and NORMAL! :)

I am such a bad mommy. My hubby had a meeting early this morning so Hannah couldn't go to preschool. Well I got up at 3am puking and sore throat and a migraine and or sinus headache my eye feels like it is going to explode! So I called grandma to take her. I just feel like I am pawning her off on someone but I really feel like crap. My hubby gave me some tea and bottled water before he left and a bucket. I am so tired and sick I don't even want to get up and find the remote to change scooby doo. I have my laptop and cell phone so I am ok until I have to pee. Can I just be put into a coma until it is time to deliver my baby? Well goodnight ladies I am going to nap. Have a great day!

Good morning mommies!
OK this is my first stab at personals ...
Mara == I am a country girl (have lived in cities and suburbs too) and I say if you want to be in the sticks, go for it! There are tons of cybercommuters nowadays. Your blood pressure will thank you for it. We live on 6 acres surrounded by farmland but dh works an hour away near a city. I had to drive him to work for a week when my truck was in the shop and I thought I was gonna murder the other drivers! There's something to be said for getting in your car and actually getting somewhere, rather than idling in traffic. Here I thought I was so mellow, but now I realize it's just the country living that lets me be that way....
Also, I agree that the workshop looks interesting but is probably bs. I've seen a lot of trends with early learning come and go and most exp. teachers will tell you that you can't reinvent the wheel. Every kid develops at his or her own pace... We read tons to our older son, attended every story hour at the library, etc. and he started reading right at the average time. Then came our younger son who never wanted to be read to, ran around during story hour, and according to his kindergarten teacher arrived in k already reading. Huh? He continues to be the top reader in his class, no thanks to us.
TJ === We're having the same kind of weather here -- cold and rainy and dreary. I came home from dropping ds's at school and lit my brown sugar candle -- now it's all cozy and s-l-e-e-p-y in the house. But after the fight my dh and I had at 5:55 am  when he was leaving for work, I need to decompress. Oh well, I was just thinking to myself that it had been a looong time since we'd argued....P.S. Both my ds's got in trouble in school yesterday too -- for fighting with each other! P.P.S. Hope you feel better soon!
Sherri == my dh's and my favorite saying is "We were much better parents before we actually had children." Isn't it funny how you act so much differently than you thought you would? It doesn't end with the baby years either -- I work with teens and catch myself thinking how I'll do things so much differently than their parents, then remind myself that it is uncharted territory and I have no clue how I'll act when the teen years arrive!
That said I would say go for it if you can get Ava to adjust to her own room. We gave in to the "family bed" (well, Mommy and baby bed since dh worked nights at the time) with older ds but younger ds would've gone into his own room from day one. If you get a better night's sleep you may find you enjoy her even more when you're both awake! On the other hand, don't worry that she won't go to her own room later on if you decide to keep her close to you for a while longer. Once we finally put ds's in the other room they have been problem-free sleepers ever since.
OK, I've already written a book so I'll quit while I'm ahead. I'll try to catch more of you mommies next time. Bye bye for now!

Thanks Mara, TJ and Elsie. Elsie, here's the thing. She is usually a great sleeper, and has been for awhile now. She usually wants to nurse about an hour before I get up for work, which works out well b/c I just bring her into bed and feed her/doze for an hour. Sometimes there's one middle-of-the-night feeding, too, which doesn't take a lot of effort and keeps me from feeling engorged.
The issue is intimacy/privacy with my partner. I really feel torn. I guess checking on her at night and bringing her back into bed to nurse in the mornings would be a good compromise.... I just miss her so much when I'm at work, it's hard to think about giving up nights just yet. Anyway, thanks for saying not to worry too much about keeping her in for awhile longer. I think I'm in the process of being ready to move her to her room, but not quite ready yet. Sigh....

Mara - we have the Dr. Tizler series of DVDs your baby can read or something like that. Audrey will NOT sit and watch tv for anything. She won't watch cartoons, Baby Einstein, movies. Nothing. Every once in awhile I'll put it in. They do sing Head, Shoulders Knees & Toes. I always sing along and she's gotten the hang of that, but it's probably more from me singing and making a fool of myself. She won't watch the tv. We have a 72" tv so you can't miss it and she could care less about it. No interest in the tv whatsoever. So, I don't really know how effective the tapes are (first question, how do you get babies to pay attention to them!)

Morning!
The weather is cool and crisp here today, as they say it's perfect Chamber of commerce weather. We had major wardrobe malfunctions this morning. I hate pantyhose. I haven't worn them since this time last year and I thought since it was cooler today I should. So out of the package, a brand new pair and by the time I pulled it up past my shin I ripped a giant hole in it   . Found an older pair in the drawer and did the same damn thing to that pair! So, I have bare legs, had to wear a skirt cause the few pants I have that fit are in the laundry. Then tried to get Mason dressed and he is growing out of clothes and not fitting into others yet and what's the dang deal with baby sizes? they're worse than blue jeans for women! Oh well, he looks better dressed than me this morning, I'd rather have that scenario anyway. hehehe
Went to dinner with my bf last night. She hadn't seen Mason since he was like a week or 2 old. I felt kinda bad too when she went to hold him, he was so uninterested in her and at one point started pouting! She bought him 2 CUTE little Calvin Klein outfits with matching blankets. I was teasing him telling him he'd better be nice to his 'Auntie Chell' because she loves to shop and will spoil him rotton!
So Krissy - did you try some oreogasms with dh? couldn't resist, hehehe
Pauly - Sorry to hear your m/s is still rearing its ugly head
Terra - You sound like me when it comes ot dinner.
TJ - at least now you can dance on the bar, lol.
Mara - I love the Biggest Loser, but they switched nights and it competes with Lost, so I'm not watching it this season.
Karenh - I hear the deep fried oreos are pretty good.
Prinny - (((hugs))) are you still bf or are you on to formula now? Have you tried soy based? There is a formula by similac that is supposed to be good for upset tummies.
LisaMarie - what's going on with you today? Are you talking abou tputting a video on the board like Kelli & Sarah did?
Sherri - I'm a clingy mom too. NEVER thought I'd be one either. I know what you mean about time away from the baby. I need more hours in the day.
Mara - I want to know more about that class. You say they were offering it to you at work? What do you do for a living?
The price of land/houses. Dh's Aunt Betty passed away and he and his step-mom were the beneficiaries of her will. She lived in a 1500 sq. ft. house on a 6000sq ft. lot in Nappa Valley. The house was built in the 50's and had never been updated. It sold for $600,000!!!!   Houses here in Houston (brand new) that size probably sell anywhere from $100,000 - $150,000 tops!
Karen - I don't think you're being a bad mommy, just a m/s one. Hope you get to feeling better!
Elsie - my parents moved from the big city to the country 20 years ago. I thought they were crazy then, but would so do the same if given the opportunity. I think it's the reason the haven't aged like others their age.
Pauly - a 72" tv? Holy crap! It would be like watching life sized people! My dh would love to come to your house, lol.

Hi Sherri! Yeah, I can see how feeling torn is a tough spot to be in. Kids certainly cut into the mental closeness of a couple, and when they're a physical barrier between you on top of it, it can sometimes feel like too much. My situation was different in two ways since I was a sahm and dh worked overnight, so it's hard for me to say how I would've handled it if I was working or had to share the bed with both of them. I can tell you that the crowding on my dh's one or two nights off definitely became a problem, but we usually just carried ds to his own crib after he fell asleep so we could have the bed to ourselves for awhile (then carried him back in with us when he woke up like an hour later, lol). Older ds also was hospitalized for a week after birth for abnormal jaundice and then had surgery for pyloric stenosis when he was five weeks, so we were somewhat making up for lost cuddling time. Same reason I swear the bfing went so well -- it was the only time I was allowed to hold him for the first week he was born.
But I sympathize with your dilemma even if my situation was different! I was only trying to put your mind at ease that you won't have a clingy kid later on if you end up letting her stay with you longer. This is what everyone told me and believe me when my ds's were running around like maniacs as toddlers I found myself wishing they were the tied-to-the-apron-strings types. Good luck, whatever your next step will be :) Isn't it amazing how something as simple as sleep becomes sooo complicated?!

We just got back from our mommies group and I am making Piper take a morning nap. She's just been cranky and not like herself.
Mara....I do believe that is a sign to move to Kokomo... Wink lol
I was just thinking that too! And yes all of Indiana is pretty much like that. Even around Indy you don't have to go too far to find a cornfield or a farmhouse. I'm not convinced that you can teach babies to read. But our friends have a boy who at 1 1/2 knew all his letters. He doesn't know what they spell, but knows their letter names. He saw a cup with Dale written on it. And was like D-A-L-E. It was impressive. He learned most of his letters from watching ABC videos :D They read to him too, but he loves his DVDs. Sorry that your boss is leaving!
TJ--Sorry your #'s don't look good for this month. Go out and party hard though! Hope you feel better soon too!
Hey there Prinny! :D
Lisa--I on the otherhand love rap! LOL It was cold here this morning when we left around 9. The windchill was 19!
Sherri--That's great that she is already used to sleeping in her crib during naptime. Piper was about this age--maybe a month younger--when we moved her to her room. It should be a fairly easy transition for her. Maybe not so much for you :) I know what you mean about the intimacy thing...I tell DH to not even think about touching me if she is the room. It's just me--but that weirds me out LOL
Red--My Dad built his big 2-story house in San Antonio for the same price as we paid for our tiny 1-story in Fishers. We were ranked the 8th best county in the country to live in though  And it's the snobbish suburbs LOL
Ok so I have to go clean up a little bit (or a lot). If this house has to go on the market  I did some networking this morning and may have found a couple hubbies that do investing. I need someone to buy this house now and let us rent it back for 5 or 6 months before they sell it again for profit. Fingers crossed that one of these guys will go for it!

Thansk for the afternoon laugh!!!
Okay - I have calmed down some and it *might* be okay. Time will tell - who knows maybe he will LOVE me?
Michelle - I hate hate nylons! UGH! A man must have invented them. What a hugs waste of $$$! I hate tights too - why oh why can't we wear comfy cotton socks with dresses? :D As for what I do - I'm an engineer at DaimlerChrysler - i work at HQ and we always have some stuff like that going on. Dr. Phil was here about a month ago telling us to "Keep it Real". I am sure that the event today was part of their whole "benefits for mom program". Don't get me started!
Sherri - What we do is put A in his crib until he cries. Usually 2-4am then we bring him in our bed. Gives us alone time and then some snuggle time. No one is really sleeping too well - but it goes with the territory I guess.
Terra - Hope your networking pans out! Maybe it is a sign to move to Indiana! :? And I agree - I think the reading stuff is crap. :P

Laugh off stress
Laughter can improve health, as well as bring joy to your life. It has therapeutic value. The United Nations International Labor Organization issued a report that said, "Stress has become one of the most serious health issues of our time." Research has confirmed that humor can reduce stress, boost immunity, relieve pain, decrease anxiety, elevate mood, stabilize the brain, enhance communication, inspire creativity, maintain hope and bolster morale. One quick and very effective way to beat stress is to literally laugh it off. Laughing takes no special talent. You don't need a permit to laugh. It makes you feel good—it's fun, fat-free and doesn't require batteries. (Carmel Institute of Humor )
Smile facts:
It takes 43 facial muscle to frown, but only 15 to smile.
By the time a child reaches nursery school, he or she will laugh about 300 times a day. Adults laugh an average of 17 times a day. :D It is estimated that hearty laughter can burn calories equivalent to several minutes on the rowing machine or the exercise bike.

Hello Ladies! I am new and it has taken me a while to get over from the preggo board! I love being a mom!
Prinny - I stopped bf when I went back to work - it was just a little much for me. I produced tooooo much milk believe it or not and had thrush, engorgement constantly for weeks on the right side and so i bagged it. I feel bad and shed many tears over it - felt like a bad mom - but you know what?? I feel great and am coping with the other aspects great! So for me it was the right decision. ANYWHO - Olivia had a hard time with formula too and we tried the Similac Soy and she did great immediately. The ped also said with the powders if they have a hard time to put it in the blender and let it go - her first milk margarita! It worked and now she needs no special treatment.

Hi everyone!
Welcome Lovescurtism!
Sorry I can't get to everyone right now. I will try to soon.
We all have colds at my house. Dh stayed home yesterday. He never does that so he must have been really miserable. We are just pitiful right now.
I think that I might have O'd in the last day or two. I have bagged temping this month because with my UTI and now with my cold I have had fevers most of this cycle. I am just hoping that I did o and that something happens but if not I will be ok. After this month it's not likely that anything will happen until March or later because of our schedules and beig away from eachother at the wrong times in the next few months so I am going to try and not stress about it too much.
Leata is torturing the cats so I had better go entertain her and save them but I will write more later.

Sarah - poor CATS! Hope your UTI goes away and good luck caatching that eggie!
Cristen - Good Luck to your hubby! What sort of business is he starting??
Woe is me...just found out that my new boss is here because he was kicked out of the plant at his old job. And he is known for being abrasive. God help me! I meet him tomorrow!
Anyway, I just booked an aromatherapy masage for myself and DH and some fruity sounding place. We got gift certificates last Christmas so I had to use them ebfore Dec 25th! YIKES! I hope it is nice. Not my usual thing. They had to book us back to back - so DH is apprehensive about having a massage by himself! LOL :D We've done the couples massage before (another GC) and he loved it mainly because I was there and he didn't feel "weird". Anyway - since we ar back to back - he can have a coffee in the lounge area and read a book while I have a massage, then I think while he i sin I will go pick up the baby from my parents. His company is having a Christmas open house so we might take the baby to check it out and stop off at the mall.
I also have GC to book at a spa for a 3hr treatment for facial and pedicure and manicure - that expires this month - it was a baby shower gift.

I know......I wish I could see the pictures too. With this new firewall at work I can't see them anymore. I can't even go into photobucket to download mine......AARRGGHH
LimaMarie ~ I wish I lived out there in the country too and that I was a SAHM.....you're so lucky.
Michelle ~ I know what you mean about pantyhose, I hate them too!! I tear them so often that I've lost count of how many pair I buy a month. I try to not tear them, cause they're not cheap.....I pay $8 for each pair! I'm sure glad the weather has gotten cooler here, but like you I can never find something to wear when it's cool. Specially after gaining all this weight.......nothing fits!!
Good to hear from Prinny and Cristen! Hello to everyone else.

I pay $8 too for my Big Girl pantyhose. It is expensive. I was telling DH the other day. Don't you think they could make them from cotton with a bit of lycra and make them feel soft, cozy and durable? I'd pay $30 for them if they lasted more than 1 or two times. :?

Okay - small rant. I was on my other board and a woman gave her 3 month old chocolate to eat on halloween and even posted pics with him sucking on it. Also a pic of his face covered in chocolate. She also gave him a lolipop to like for "a couple of mintes". Is she NUTS!?!? they say to give only breastmilk or formula for the first 6 months - not to even start rice cereal (low allergin) until 6 months. So I went checking her other posts - she started the baby (spoon feeding) cereal at 2.4 months. I mean he can't even sit up really!!! Makes me sooo mad that ANYONE can literally have a baby!

Hi Girls,
I’ve been super busy- I read up every day and even start a post but never seem to complete it. Cassidy is everywhere- I do not have a minute to myself unless she is napping and that is when I have to get my work done. I am putting that on the back burner for a few.
I love all of the Halloween costumes!!! Terra your house looks awesome!!! DH would love to do that but I won’t let him- the kids that are near us are all little and I don’t want to scare them.
Okay, I have a pantyhose tip for all of you. I worked as a store manager for Talbots for 13 years then I switched to the buying thing for the Military and now I just crunch #’s every day. I am finally pantyhose free, however, I have gone through a few boatloads of hose. I eventually went with tights- they last soooo much longer. Now that I have rambled on and on I’ll tell you my secret to get another wear out of your torn hose…. It will sound ridiculous but it works. Always buy the same brand and color. When you get a tear or run just cut off that leg- so you have one good leg and the top of the hose. When you ruin another pair do the same thing. So you have two pair of stockings with good legs and tops- just put them on- you’ll have on double on top but two good legs. Just a tip but it works :)
Okay, I am going to finally post a pic of Cassidy. She hated the Tom Arma bunny costume (too much on her head). Thankfully, my sister bought her a Minnie Mouse costume too. She even kept the ears on all day.
Talk to you soon,
Michele from Philadelphia area

Geez... I'll tell you what, I cannot keep up if I'm not at work. If I'm at work and busy I can't keep up then either. I'm sucking at this board thing right now.
Sorry to everyone who is sick or has sick babies. Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for all the well wishes for Arianna and I. I was sick as a dog yesterday. I had the runs and felt horrible. Arianna seemed to be doing better until about 5:00 pm at which point she started throwing up again. At 9:30 I had our ped paged, because I could not get her to stop throwing up. She told me to try pedialyte again, and if she didn't keep it down to take her to the ER. Arianna won't take the pedialyte, so we did gatorade. She took 2 oz and kept it down. She slept until 6:00 this morning at which time she woke with diarrhea. I changed her then had it myself. I put her in bed with me, and we slept until Brad's mom called at 8:30. Needless to say I'm home again today. I NEVER take three sick days in a row. Oh well. I'm feeling much better now, and Arianna seems to be too. I feel real dizzy though. I think A does too, because she keeps fall over (more than usual) when she tries to walk. Hopefully we will be all better by tomorrow. She is drinking better today and actually ate something for lunch other than crackers and kept it down.
Well, I should probably be back to work tomorrow, and maybe I will be able to keep up with you all then.
Toodles.

LM - Nope - not on a PCOS board. A fertility board and the women there can be sooooooo nasty and condescending. And there must be 1000's of them. the board is soooo huge. Not as nice as our small quaint "community" board here!

Mara - I know what you mean about those other boards. I posted this on the secret pal thank you, but I'll say it again here. I got something in the mail from my secret pal and my dh opened it. He shuffled his feet like a little kid and said, "I wish I had a forum were you got a secret pal that sent you stuff. I just got kicked off my forum." lol I thought he was just joking and teasing me for being on a forum, but oh noooo. The only one I ever saw him use was a Univ. of Texas fan forum. According to him they're very clickish and strict and kicked him off for using the word natzi to describe someone's ways.
Ok, I was just in the hallway and there were some vendors walking around with two boxes of cookies and a box of cupcakes  So what did I just polish off? A chocolate cupcake AND a chocolate chip cookie *sigh*
So Saturday we are going to the Renaissance festival I am so excited! My parents are going to come stay with us to watch Mason. Their 1st babysitting gig.

I know my festival is coming up in less than a week now and i am soo looking forward to it!!! Still couldn't talk tot he Doctor today about my Prog level, he was off /on call and when i paged him he was upstairs delivering a baby
Oh yeah and in other news my other (older) worthless sister had her baby on HALLOWEEN  a little girl, 8lbs 12oz. named Bethany Ann...YAY for her, but i really do feel bad about the way the child will grow up, and yes i spent the entire day working at the hospital she is in and NO i did not go and see her..i did get a co-worker to go upstairs and look at her and tell me what she looks like though...all ten fingers & toes~~

Hey chickies. Happy Friday! Well, DH and baby are both sick. Emily has a really bad runny nose and keeps gagging on drainage. She threw up twice. DH keeps coughing his head off. He called in sick to work today. My parents are coming in tonight so I have got to get my house cleaned up. Spent ALL DAY w/MIL yesterday and had fun. She cooked supper, so my Anniversary dinner fell through. DH didn't mind, though. His mom is a great cook! So, no oreogasms yesterday. But I am thinking about making them today. And some pumpkin ribbon bread. YUMMY! And homemade soup. We go tomorrow to get MIL's Christmas present. A picture of all the grandkids. WHOO HOO! Almost done w/my shopping! Ah, crap, gotta run..BRB. I hope! Hugs and Prayers for all the sick babies and mommies! TAKE CARE!

Kirsten - Hey chicka! We miss you over here, but know you're one busy momma. Good luck on the house, can't wait to see pics.
Corrina - At least you have a thyroid problem to blame your weight gain on. Me I have a hand to mouth problem... And like LisaMarie said, I could gain 5lbs, just by breathing *sigh*
TJ - didn't you adopt one of your sister's kids? Or do I have you confused with someone else?
LisaMarie - getting dressed with m/u and doin her hair! woohoo, have to post some pics  If I didn't have to go to work 5 days a week, I'd never be in m/u. Hell, I barely fix my hair now as it is, it's in a ponytail all the time. Shoot, I didn't even wear earings while out on maternity leave for 9 weeks and I thought the holes just about closed up! yikes!
Hi Miss Holly - hope Mason's girlfriend is in a better mood today. :P
Krissy - sorry you're all sick - yuck. Pumpkin ribbon bread? Sounds YUM, I love anything with pumpkin.
Mara - I don't know what the black squares were :? Leave it to me to be sooo observant
Today is my coworkers last day. She gave her notice right after I came back. Things are going to get weird around here. She was a graphic designer, hired in right after college, that's what the position calls for. My boss already posted the job and it requires 5-7 years experience, hmph! He told her there was no room for growth in this company, then he goes and "betters" that position? and he is "reducing" mine? I smell a rat...

I took Aiden, Gav and a friend of hers from school yesterday to swim at my gym and then to McDonalds to play and eat...they had fun. Today, I am sooo tired and I did manage to get some decent sleep last night...went to bed early. Cute pic.
Mara-Hey babycakes!
TracyR-Happy Birthday to Kallie.
Krissy- Hi!
What a morning. hehe Lucy had school. So I go and talk to the chicks I used to work wiht. Then had to go to Krogers. Then met up with another friend I used to work with. We went to this place called Bee Active. Kinda like the Y but smaller. It used to be just for kids and now they are offering things for adults. To use the weight room and equipment is 35/month. The thing that blows my mind is they are open 24 HOURS!!!!! You just punch in your code and they have cameras and stuff. So I could go after the kids go to bed.
Im really kinda excited about this. Its somethign I would have to do later in the evening once the girls go to bed. NOw I just need to see if dh is goin to throw a sh!t fit. Hmmph.
Ok..Lucy is being a damn brat...so I need to feed her lunch ...

OMG - I'm here two days in a row - yippee!!!!
Corinna: I need to take brand also, I just don't absorb the generic as well. Here's a tip - take your pill on an empty stomach - no food for 30 minutes before or after - that helps it absorb better - thyroid is tough for the body to absorb for some reason. It'll come back up fast - only takes six weeks for your thyroid to return to normal on a proper dose - even when my tsh was 47.7 I was back to normal in six weeks (I was amazed.)
Have a great romantic weekend with hubby :)
TJ: Sorry you couldn't get the day off :(
LisaMarie: Do you get gussied up like that every day?? I'm impressed. Sounds like you had a fun and social morning.
Holly: I LOVE the name Ruby.
Krissy: Get well soon.
Mara: Hope your sis doesn't go, but if she does it's always fun to have family in places where you like to travel. My older bro was in Germany for 16 years, I would look for off-season air-fare and buy like three months in advance, and it wasn't too expensive to get out there quite a bit, and I love munich.
Michelle: I've been so out of the loop, so tell me everything now, okay? When did you go back to work, what are you doing for daycare and how is it going?

Hey all ........ Good morning!
Ah, Willow is napping.
I was going to say the same thing LM!! Hmmm......
It is cold here! Burrrrrrrrr.
Just trying to work on my ebay stuff and get my secret pal stuff together. This is soooo much fun! What great ideas you have LM!
Willow has another molar almost through!! That makes 3....... I can't believe it. I hope the rest of her teeth come through this fast. Then we can get on with our lives... hopefully with less cranky. .. and more eating.
I don't know when my baby girl is going to move out of size 12M. I think her pants were a bit tight this morning. It might be time!! She does wear 18M shirts though. How weird is that?? I think they must make the tops smaller or something.
Hope everyone is having a great morning.
I am going to go see my friend in the hospital today. She broke her leg and foot the other day. She is in alot of pain. Plus she is going to have to be off work for at least 2 months. Yuck. Thank goodness for insurance!

OMG I got the top! Hi everyone! Happy Friday!
My excellent news is that my "small bits of chocolate" experiment went very well, and Ava didn't stay up all night puking or even spit up any more than normal! I just had my first mocha (small, skim) since July. With caffiene! Look out! :D
wantingbabynumber2
11-03-2006, 12:42 PM
Yeah I did in July and was super irritable and was PREGNANT sorry couldn't resist. No if you think something is going on make a dr appt to check out your suzi and get a mamogram. A friend of ours went in for some pre surgery testing and found out she had an anneurism luckily they caught it and fixed it. I swear I am going to do a full body scan one of these times to check for any cancer or abnormal vessels in my body. I have seen too many bad things all my years in medicine I worry about stuff like that. Even more so now that I have kids I want to be there to watch them grow up. As soon as I have this baby I swear never okay hardly ever no junk food/fast food. Going healthier and going to lose weight. I don't wnat to be that fat mom at school I want my kids to be proud of me not teased cuz their mom is overweight.

YAY for Sherri...i sooo could not live without chocolate
although since my most recent (like 5mins ago) worship pf the porceilin toilet gods...i don't think i like anything right now
i have meds to prevent the puking but i can't take them here cause of the narcotic content and the chance of getting fired  stupid rules!!!
anyway i think i am going to get to go home...the LT has found several people to split the rest of my shift up, i will find out in about an hour...so YAY for me (i hope)
HI AMY!

You click on Quote instead of Post Reply, and then delete everything but whatever it is you want to quote.
wantingbabynumber2
11-03-2006, 12:59 PM
The quote button is in the upper right corner of each persons post. You can also delete out the portions you don't want to show in case you have just one point you want to mention.
I can luckily say at Hannah's preschool I look pretty damn skinny compared to some of the moms almost anorexic pretty sad considering I am over 200#.

Are you pregnant???
I was gonna say the same thing maybe your hpt was too early???
I just wanted to see what all these quotes looked like stacked up together! :D
Then I am pregnant too. Because I am going through the exact same things and AF was due a week ago. But I'd be suprised because I only think we BD-ed once. I remember vaguely always thinking I was PG in my early PCOS days with these symptoms. :?

I'm in a phone conference...please someone shoot me. It is like United nations on the phone - 5 different accents I am having a hard time following. :?
TJ - I hope you get to go home!
Sherri - Yay on the caffeine and chocolate! YUM!
Karen - I plan on being the FAT HOT mom.
Amy - You reminded me - I have so much Ebay stuff to sell. Maybe I will do that on Saturday night.
Corrina - I take synthroid and it works well BUT I have to take it on an empty stomach and wait 2 hrs to eat so I can absorb it. It took 2 months for my levels to come down.
Hi Holly! Hi Kristen!

Kristen - About teh germany thing. I'd rather she be here than in germany. She's the one who lives 2 blocks away and had a baby 5 days after me. I see her at least 5X a week and talk to her everyday. If she moved I'd lose my best friend.

11-03-2006, 01:35 PM

LM---Secretly, you were hoping you were preggers, weren't you????? Its ok, your secret is safe with us!!
You should totally join that gym. It makes me feel so good when I leave, knowing that I did something good for me. I don't have much time to do things for me, but I am learning on how to MAKE time. Hard lesson to learn.
Mara, I;m with you about boring meetings. I used to have to sit in for two hour phone conferences and I would bring books to read while in those stupid pointless meetings. It had nothing to do with my job, but they wanted me to go!
I am laying on the couch, bundled up while DH is watching Mail Call on the military channel. BORING.
I was totally catching up on my General Hospital until he came home for lunch.
TJ- Isn't DH coming home today?

I want to cuddle up on the couch too and just chill. But I cant. The kids are in the room with me playing. When I get up to do something they like freak out. Hmmm....can we say needy? LOL!
I HATE this Lucky. Im used to the old LUcky. This Lucky reminds me when he played Dan on 'Charmed'.
Now the Carly that was before this Carly..she was a freakin Horseface. Whewwwwww weee...she was beat with the ugly stick. hehehe
So Judy got a negative? Is she goin to do another cycle or did fil just sign the loan for one?
tracyrhymer1979
11-03-2006, 02:11 PM
I dont know if her blood test was negative, I have not checked with her yet. No, she has two frozen, but she is going to take a break from going right back into it. Her FIL signed for this one cycle, only. She is scared about the debt already, they need a new car. She said she will probably wait until she gets healthy to try again. Her frozen embryos are not as healthy as the two she transferred.

I might watch TV if I had TIVO - can't get that here in Canada.
tracyrhymer1979

Thanks Christy! No, its not finalized yet. This month marks six months since they have been placed with us, so our social worker can recommend finalizing now, and then the worker in Oregon can petition the courts to finalize. It probably wont be final until next month or January....SO EXCITING though!
Mara, why can't you get TiVi in Canada?
