I'm popping over from the pregnancy forum. I just want to ask if you had your baby in your room for the first few months, if so, did your baby nap in there too, or did you put them in their own room. I won't be able to fit the cotbed in my room so will have to buy a moses basket which can only be used for the first few months (wish they weren't so expensive!)

Thanks oh and I've had a peek at your picture thread and all your kids are gorgeous! :D

Hey!

Both of my girls slept in a bassinet at night. My first baby took her naps in there as well the first few months. My second baby took her naps on my bed. Then I would gradually put her in her crib for naps.
Anything you do will be great!

Paulina,
We have a 2 story house which the baby's room is upstairs and our is downstairs. We got a bassinet for our room. Mason has never even seen his room, lol. He sleeps in it at night, if he (and I) haven't fallen asleep in my bed after bf. As far as naps go I have put him in his bassinet, but really there are no scheduled naps at this stage of the game so he basically takes a nap wherever he falls asleep, bouncy, swing, playmat, my bed, my arms...

Gavin sleeps in our room. He slept in his crib for the first 3 1/2 months and now he has found his way into our bed!

Arianna slept in our room first in her cradle and then in a bassinet (once she got too big for the cradle). She also took her naps in our room or the pack n play downstairs. I moved her to her room around five months (I think) with no problems.

Thanks for your replies. I think I will get a moses basket now as I want to keep an eye on the baby in the first few months. I may use the cot for naps once in a while to get the baby used to it.

Piper slept in our room for the 1st 8-10 weeks in her pack n play bassinet that was right beside our bed. At first she napped wherever like Red said--swing, floor, bouncy...and then I started putting her into her crib when she was tired to get her used to it. And at 10 weeks, right around Christmas she started sleeping through the night, so she stayed in her room from then on. Good luck!
