Hi everyone!
Just curious- when did your baby first smile in response to something other than gas? Ruby is almost 2 months, and it seems she only smiles while digesting...I try to get her to do it with my voice, tickling, toys, etc but she is always so serious! Any other late smilers out there? Is this anything to worry about?

Piper was 1m 1w when she 1st smiled at me. I went to check on her in her crib and she just looked up at me with the biggest grin :D I love it!
Anywhere from 1 1/2 to 5 months old is the normal range for a baby to smile frequently. And from 1 1/2 to 3 months you should get that 1st giggle!
I can generally answer any other questions about baby's social/emotional or physical development. Just remember that every single baby develops differently and at his/her own pace. But any questions about delays you should bring up to your ped.
