I'm brand new here. I was just diagnosed yesterday by my gyno. She put me Beyaz to start up my cycle again and help with the symptoms its caused. I have all the usual symptoms. Has anyone else ever been on Beyaz? Its supposed to help block the male hormone. Hopefully take away extra hair, acne and oily skin. She's supposed to be a good doctor. Thanks for any info.:)

Hello, and welcome. Sorry you're having to go through all of this! I personally have never heard of Beyaz.... but there are tons of ladies on here that may be able to help. Sometimes if you post in the General Discussion board you may get more replies.. My doctor gave me Spironolactone to help with the hair, male hormone, ect ect.. Hope it works for you though! Again, the ladies on here are very welcoming, supportive, helpfull and give some of the best advice :) Good Luck!

She put me on that in hopes that my cycles would start up again. She said it has a testosterone blocker too.

I was just put on Spironolactone the other day. How do you like it? Has it helped?

Thanks much

Sprio isn't too bad.. I dont have any s/e with it. i've been on it for a few years now. I will say it cleaned up the acne a tad (not completely but ALOT better) plus it helps too if you get acne stuff/cleaner from the store i usually use Clean & Clear OR Nutrogena. And I will say it helped some with the access hair. I mean it doesn't get RID of it, but it does make it more fine, and alot lighter.. although the past few months I really haven't been taking it like I should (oopss) and then the other day I heard from a few ppl that if you're TTC or if you're pregnant that you shouldn't take it because it can cause birth defects. whether it's true or not, I dont know. But I do plan to talk to my doctor about it when I go see her on the 23rd. Good luck!

What does Spiro do for someone w/ pcos?

Can lessen acne and hirsutism (excess hair). So, it helps to deal with some of the external symptoms of PCOS, but does not resolve the underlying hormonal balances that cause them in the first place.

Ok thanks. i see metformin has mutliple uses too. I'm on bcp's since i'm not tryin to conceive. I just have to wait and see if they help. If not onto something else.
