Hi!!
I live in Tampa and am wondering if there are others here near by? I was diagnosed in Feb 2005 and have not been back to my Endo doctor since. Who else is in the area and who do you all see? I would like to find a doctor I liked and feel comfy going to.

Hi I am in the Tampa area, live in Lutz. I go to Dr. Tarantino with the Reproductive Medical Group. They have an office off of Fletcher. He is a very good Dr. I struggled 2 1/2 years going to doctor to doctor trying to figure out what was wrong, then one day I heard about their office and bingo, He diagnosised me and I've been doing great since. I've been seeing him since March 2005.
Anyways, good luck and feel free to ask me any questions.

Thanks Michelle!
Do you think it matters that I am not interested in the reproductive problems? Is that their main practice? I will see if my primary care can send in a referral.
How odd is it that we are both names Michelle?
Freaky.
Thanks again,
Michelle

That is freaky!! No, it does not matter. I have no interest in the reproductive part either. I have two beautiful children and we are done with our family. The name throws a lot of people off, but he is an endo and treats a lot of diffrent issues other than infertility.

I go back to my Primary in about a week to make sure the Crestor is not destroying my liver. I will see if they can refer me to your doc.
I've been thinking I should take this more seriously. Certain cosmetic issues are getting worse and crushing myself esteem. Not to mention the night sweats, high Cholesterol, fatigue, heart decease in the family ect ect ect.
When I first saw your name (your real name) and where you were from I was like HEY!!!!! and I think you said you were first diagnosed last Feb....i think. and I was like HEY!!!!! Again. Cause that is when I was diagnosed.
Not to mention my Loved ones, mom, dad, aunt ect...Calls me Shelly Belly.
Later,

Errr, no edit button up there. Anyway I'd love to meet with some of you ladies and chat or whatnot, at least referring me to the best doctors for our condition. :)

Hi! I also go to Reproductive Medicine Group but I see Dr. Verkauf in the S. Tampa office. I saw Dr. Goodman at the Fletcher office but just never really felt like I clicked with her. The staff at both offices is fantastic. I am seeing them for TTC help but as Shelly said, that's not a requirement to see them.

I see Dr. Jennifer Hayes at Contemporary Women's Care in Seminole. They also have a Clearwater office. She is very caring, and really does know PCOS! She works WITH you on your course of treatment. My whole view of PCOS and living with it changed after beginning treatment with her.
