anyone tried Byetta????

i was wondering if anyone has tried Byetta instead of metformin? due to kidney disease icannot take met, so we are trying this. looking for any feedback..

I have been on Byetta for a week in addition to Metformin. I like it better. I'm not as hungry and I am losing weight. :D

my dr just gave me a sample of Byetta this morning...mine to will be in addition to met...she's looking for the weight loss effect, and even with the met my glucose is borderline high...

she knows I like to look into drugs before taking them, so she gave a one month sample and a cd rom or dvd to watch...sorry haven't tried it yet.

I found a website a few nights ago with testimonials, and the weight loss benefit looks amazing for quite a few people, as well as the effect it had on their sugar levels. http://www.byettaweightloss.com/

Opened up one of the sample needles she gave me to see how bad that was going to feel, I decided the stomach is going to hurt the least, I barely feel it. Poked my arm...that hurt like hell, leg was alittle better...but abdomen was the best.

I finally got answers about the cost for me, which was an important peice...my insurance will cover it at $20 a month plus the cost of needles...so it's the same as my met.

I think I decided to give this a shot last night...no pun intended. So I guess I'll start the sample pen this weekend.

my docright now said he does not want to prescribe it to me. something about my good cholestoral needs to go up first and he does not have enough proof it will be good for me. I want to try it.
