Hi,

First time posting so I'll just say little about myself. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 25 years old, I'm now 27, I've been on Metformin for about a year. I've only dealt with weight gain and some depression stuff until two months ago. My face exploded with acne, (I've had really clear skin up to now). I've tried some cream from the doctor but it just ended up leaving burn marks on my neck and I could barely touch my face, it burned so bad. I'm on the nuva ring for birth control and loving it with no problems (have been on it for over a year as well)

So I guess what I'm asking is how did you deal with acne? And how do you deal with losing weight? I have quite a strict meal plan and exercise plan but things don't seem to change much...

Help please??:(

Sorry to hear about the acne! I'm newly diagnosed with pcos but I've had severe cystic acne for 20 years. My history includes Accutane and every prescription, OTC and mail order treatment I could get my hands on.
The only product line that has ever given me really good results without the redness burning and peeling is Arbonne Clear Advantage. It took about 3 months but it cleared up most of my acne. I like it because it worked and its safe enough to use while ttc and during pregnancy. The cost is about the same as most of the acne kits I've tried. Its only available through a consultant but if you go to Arbonne.com theres a place to find one in your area.
Hope this helps.

I know it sounds complicated, but you should just go to your dermatologist, they are professionals and know exactly what you need.

Acne is the most common skin disorder which predictably occurs first during the teenage. I have some remedies for acne which are as following hope so these remedies help you :
Take ripe tomatoes, make a paste, apply to the face and leave it on for 30 minutes. Wash off.
Fresh mint juice works wonders if applied to acne affected areas.

Always wear a rubber band on your wrist. Everytime you pick/pop a pimple, pull the rubber band back and slap it hard against your wrist.

Acne has to do with your diet and hormones. so take a look at natropath costs about $ 150, but worth it and forthright. you just might be allergic to something you eat or spend days and get allergies tested.

Acne is a skin disease more common than a person usually experiences. Acne is defined as an inflammatory skin rash that usually occurs in or near the sebaceous glands of various parts of the body including the neck, face, shoulders and upper back.

ProActive extra strength has helped. Some of what appears to be acne is actually in grown facial hair. Spironolactone, laser hair removal, and always having a good pair of tweezers is my defense against that.
