Cysters on Glumetza?

My doctor just prescribed that I take 2000 mg of Glumetza daily. Isn't that a bit much to start out on?

2000mg is my prescibed daily dose. Though you should ramp on the dose and not start out with 2000mg all at once. Start at 500mg for a week or so then add in another 500mg...keep doing this until you reach the full 2000mg dose to help eleviate an tummy issues. But I've found glumetza to be much more gentle on the tummy than met.

As doctor has prescibed it , he would be knowing more about your problems than we all. As such 2000mg is more for a daily dose but he might be aware of this thing and he would have prescribed you knowing your problems only. I think you should once again consult the doctor and should clear up your problems.

Thanks, guys :p I called to make sure the dosage was correct, and it was. I'm finally up to 2000mg. It's a little rough, but I know it will get better! I am very rarely hungry. Gotta love that!

MY doctor just prescribed 2000 mg of Glumetza daily for me as well. At this moment I like it better than Metformin.

According to me 2000 mg is fine to go with. I was prescribed this much dose only and It was all fine for me , never had any problems with this. I think Glumetza is best to carry out your treatment.
