hello jenn. i live in central massachusetts. i was diagnosed with PCOS in 2007. i have had two surgeries on trying to control it but it hasnt helped. i am now on estrogen pill because the surgery hasnt worked. where are you from ? i would love to start an awareness campaign in mass.

Hello,
I was newly diagnosed after years of seeing Dr.'s who were telling me I was fine or had endometreosis. I just started Metphormin, my stomach is extremely upset. I hope this side effect dissipates. On top of the PCOS I was also diagnosed Under active Thyroid. With all this seaid, I think the Dr. may have missed my diagnosis because I am not over weight, I was under weight and gained 30 lbs in a year and so if anything my Dr. were saying "well what weight do you expect to be at" I kept saying I know I am not over weight, but I certainly know my body. UGH why can't some Dr. just listen to the pts!!! I am a Boston girl, found a specialist (Endocronologist) in Taunton MA, absolutley the best guy! Two blood tests was all it took for him to realize I had thyroid issues and PCOS. Always atleast a two hr wait in his office however WELL worth the wait, he does not rush you and answers every question in detail! :)

Hello,
Anyone else on Metformin? I need some help. I have only been on it for a week, I eat before I take it and yet I have diarrhea BAD! I am hoping it will go away once my body is used to the drug?! :confused:

When I was on it .. it took about 3-4 weeks to settle are you at 500-1000 or more?
