Hi all! I just wanted to find out if anyone had a recommendation for a doctor that might be more effective than mine. I am living in Germany, but still seeing my OBGYN in the states (so I am looking for north jersey) I am studying over here. My story is that I had regular periods and everything was fine up until fall of 2008. I then found out I was pregnant (total surprise!) and unfortunately went through a terribly emotional miscarriage two weeks later. Since then, I have gotten 3 periods. I also have gained 60 pounds. My acne that was starting to clear from high school got really really bad. And I started getting hair all over where I never had hair before. I thought maybe that a lot of this at first was from pregnancy hormones and that it would stop once my body stopped making them (aka realized I wasn't pregnant anymore) but it never stopped. I moved in Jan 2009 to Germany to study here and since then I have seen my OBGYN twice about the problem and she says I have a PCOS disorder and I should just take birth control pills until I want to conceive and we will go from there. I feel like that doesn't treat any of the other issues other than the missed periods, and even then, I still don't get my period even on the pill! I have an appointment to see her again in august when I am back in the states, and I want her to run new blood work and see if I can get on metformin, because I have been dieting for what seems like forever, and I even got a dog to help me get motivated to exercise everyday. I am just kind of lost and I only have 8 weeks a year to see doctors, two of them being at christmas and I can never get an appointment then. I would see a doctor here, and I do speak German so its not an issue, but my insurance is still in the states, and I have to pay upfront here and send my receipts back to the states to get reimbursed. My parents are helping me with money, but they can't afford all the costs upfront, they are counting on the insurance for things other than emergencies. I am just so tired of not being able to wear my clothes, and feeling icky all the time, and dieting, and exercising, but seeing no results. I am 22 and I have bacne and face acne worse than I did when I was 13-14! I just want to feel and look pretty again, and also make sure that I can have kids when I want them. Please help if you can! And also any tips people have about diet or exercise or anything would be helpful because before I found this forum, I was going at this all by myself, and I am dying for some support. Sorry for the rant, but I needed it.

Hi Im sorry to hear that yo feel like this, believe me this is how I feel too. I had been in your same shoes till now. My husband had cancer in 2007, and this is were I noticed that I started to go down hill. I thoght stress was making me eat more, and that is why my belly was getting bigger and bigger... soon I was at 40 inch waist, at a 155lbs. big belly considering the waist size.
then I started noticing that i had gone from 155, to 160, to 162, to 172lbs. I was srprised cause I didnt see it coming. When I hit my max, 172, I noticed more suggar level drops. In the summer I couldnt go outside cause the heat would make me have more suggar drops. I keeped telling the doctors about this but they never crossed to look at my ovaries. They always thought it was maybe diabetes. The worse part was that when I would get suggar drops I would have candy or suggar or soda... I didnt know!
We moved in january to stuttgart germany cause of my husbands job. I went to the doctor and did a pap, then he sent me out to an obgyn but he only speaks german and a bit english. and his diagnoses was you are going to turn into a man. I was like what the #$^#...

He sent me to an endocronologyst and he recomended Diane 35, for 3 months. and thats all, no metamorphin, no clomid, nothing, no advise on multivitamin NOTHING!

the obgyn put me on Diane 35 wich is a birth control, Im suppose to start this when my period comes. Its been 2 months and my period NOTHING! so I cant start my treatment! I dont know what to do.
