Studies tell us that increasing your omega 3 intake can help prevent heart disease, strokes, cancer, diabetes, depression, Alzheimer's, PMS, memory loss, dry skin and much more.
One of the main reasons fish oil fatty acids are so universally beneficial is because they help your body decrease and regulate inflammation - the kind you can see and the kind you can't see.Recent research shows that all degenerative disease begins when the body's inflammatory cycle gets out of whack. And this only happens when you're deficient in specific omega 3 fatty acids.

The idea behind evening primrose oil is to impact the estrogen hormone. It has been researched in menopause for the purpose of reducing hot flashes. Thus far, no evidence has been found for evening primrose oil in terms of changes for this variable. It has not been scientifically shown to have any effect in PCOS because those studies are not yet published or completed.
Be cautious about taking supplements that do not have research behind them. This is not to say that research is the most important aspect but research does let us know what negative side effects may occur as well as whether or not your money is better spent on other things.
Take care of you.

I use to take Evening Primrose when I was a teenager, and I kind of remember it helping my face to be softer and less acne. My Dr. recently gave me a prescription for an acne gel that I tried for three months only to have my face worse then ever and very sore at the end of the three months. So I started taking Evening Primrose again in hopes that it would once again help. I also read somewhere online that you can put it directly on your face for acne. For the past four nights I have put half a capsule on my face before bed and it has REALLY helped. The inflammation went down and the redness is almost gone. Never thought it would work but looks like it just might. I will let you know how it works long term.
