Metformin Dosage Question

I am currently taking 1000 mg twice daily. It's not the extended release, so my question is: Am I really taking 2000 mg?

Someone please explain. :?

Yes, you are actually taking 2000mg per day.

My dosage is also 2000mg of Metformin per day. It is not the extended release kind. I take 1000mg in the morning and the other half in the evening.

I take one in the morning and one at night as well.
