As a way to treat (or help treat) depression you may like to try sun light therapy, this is what my Dr. recommended for me.
All you need are full spectrum light bulbs (also called "daylight" bulbs) and spend at least twenty minutes a day in their light. These bulbs are easy to find, you can buy them online even. I found some at my local Home Depot (four for $7). Many of them are even in the compact fluorescent style to save energy.
This treatment was designed to treat seasonal affective disorder, which is a type of depression that affects people in the winter when there is less sunlight. It will help you to feel more awake and energized, as well as have a better mood and generally feel better.
Light therapy has helped me to feel better and have more energy, so I hope this will help others as well!
