I have had a fertility dr fro 4 yrs and the only thing they would do for me was give me meformin no fertility drugs because of my weight, is that normal? are other people having that reaction from their drs. so i switched practices this week and right a way the dr is putting me on clomid in 4 days. i am so glad that this is moving so quickly, comsidering the last four years of waiting. i have read about all of the drugs used fro infertility, i know the drawbacks, etc. but i want to know all the bad or weird things you guys have experienced on clomid. i want to know from real people what could happen, will i be able to do everything i would normally do, like work, drive, etc. i really apprediate it. thank you

Hello--I tried clomid two other rounds and this time we got a bfp on first try with it at 150mg. The thing for me was finding the right dose and we used metformin also. We were going to try femara next. I didn't have any horrible side effects besides a little emotional, but nothing too bad. Baby dust to you!

wk- I was on clomid for several months. I had some pretty significant mood swings and it actually made me pretty snappy. "you're shooting daggers out of your eyes" is a comment I got during that week. :-) I ended up taking an afternoon off of work because I was so overwhelmed and ticked off at everyone. LOL! The next month, when I knew what to expect, it was better. My poor dh though... he understood.
Some people say they have hot flashes too.
I'm clomid/femara resistant though, so I never had any response - didn't ovulate. A lot of women do though!
Good luck!! I hope you respond your first month on clomid!

so far so good i started the clomid on friday the 15th going back to the dr on monday the 25 for ultrasound to see if the eggs developed hoping i'll be able to get the shot. then;);) home with the husband. When do we start trying? do you have to wait a certain amount of time after getting Novarel shot? all they have said is start trying the next day. how many days do we continue to try? and then when to test, i have heard if you test to early you could get a false positive??? if so why, is it the meds?

wklj857---Hi. I've also been taking Clomid and let me tell you...it's definitely a pain, especially if you have a normal/working life. Although, you get used to it. My clinic is 30 mins away but luckily there is a hospital right down the hill from where I live and I've been able to go there during the week for labs & u/s so I've been lucky.. Everything is very time focused and it's pretty annoying....but you'll get the hang of it. I recommend keeping track of your treatments and cycles in a planner....write in it everyday b/c the drs always seem to ask things and it's hard to keep track....

j lizzie..... OMG! I know what you mean about the moodiness of Clomid. I've never had such issues before and now I seem crazy. Luckily, I am aware of it but it's insane! I cry and I get SOOOO angry and irritated. Did I mention I teach kids? lol Yea..I teach MAth so it's been such a struggle remaining calm, but I have not snapped on them..yet. I just have days when I want to be alone and cry and scream..and I hate that! lol That's how you know your husband loves you..if he stays with you through all of this craziness. lol Oh my! I'm thinking about getting off of Clomid and trying the shots(last thing insurance will cover). I was told I do ovulate w/ Clomid but I don't always produce eggs? Confused about that...Wish me luck...
