Help - I always get AF but just not regularly. It is normally 29 to 33 day cycles for the past year. Recently, my doctor prescribed Provera to hopefully make the cycles more regular. DH and I have been TTC for 1 year now.

Anyway, I finished the Provera four days ago - Sunday, tomorrow will make 5 days. I thought that Provera would trigger AF within 1 to 3 days after stopping. Am I wrong? I've not found much information regarding when it should have triggered AF. I have a 12 to 15 day luteal phase - 12 days for Jan, Feb, March, & April and 15 days for May & June.

Is it normal to have a period and start Provera only to have the cycle not start??

I'm hoping I'm finally PG. Any insight out there would be appreciated.

Have you taken a pregnancy test? I think I read on these boards that someone else had the same problem, but turned out she was pregnant. Wouldn't that be a Wonderful Suprise!! :D

I just finished Provera and I started AF three days after last pill.

Take the test and keep us posted!

Take Care,

I was actually waiting on taking the pg test even though FF told me to test on Saturday. I actually started AF 5 days after I stopped the pill. I sure was hoping that I was pg but didn't want to test and get discouraged. My cycle this month was the longest so far but it did seem that AF was very heavy / clotty this cycle. Maybe my lining is thickening or maybe I was a couple of weeks pg and lost it. Who knows. This is such an emotional roller coaster and DH finally has agreed to give the sperm specimen after much resistence.

Thanks for the reply and maybe next month. Good Luck to you and may your TTC journey be short and your pg journey come soon!!

Thanks for the kind words, and Yes, there is always next month!

I see that you have done 2 Clomid cycles. I assume you ovulated on it? If so did you ovulate both cycles?

I start my first round...today! I will take pill 1 here in a bit. I've read its best to take at night to reduce the s/e. I hope its still just as effective.
