Hello,

I am new to this site. I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year and a half ago. At that point I stopped taking birth control because of fear of not being able to get pregnant. Before we were married my husband and I went with the if it happens it happens. Now that we are married we are trying to conceive. I am very scared of Fertility drugs because I do not want to have multiples. Being a multiple myself it is hard for the multiples as well as the parents.

I swore to my specialist that I would not take any medications to alter fertility or prevent it. I have been dealing with the symptoms as they are. I am starting to reconsider fertility drugs but I am still very against them. Is there anyone who has dealt with the same battle?

Thanks,
Karen

As it was described to me, the Clomid which is the least invasive medication to aid fertility has a very low chance of multiples. I dont remember the actual numbers though, sorry.

i am on clomid and the paperwork said it has a 40x greater chance of multiples... so that is probably not the right path for you since your chance is greater being a multiple yourself. have you talked to your dr about metformin? it can help your body return to a natural state to help you conceive naturally without fertility drugs... also check into alternative treatments... i'm not up to date on those but i think extra cinnamon does something to help??? idk for sure...
