Well this thread is really old. But, I'm going to be seeing a reproductive endocrinologist that specializes in PCOS. Dr. Austin, at the Clinic in Beachwood. There is a doctor on the eastside who has a daughter with PCOS and I'm pretty sure it's her. Anyone hear of her? We'll see how it goes next week.

A friend of mine saw Dr. Ausitn - did NOT like her - AT ALL! She stopped going there.

That's weird. I went last week and I really liked her A LOT. She looks like she'd be mean/cold. But she was really awesome. Her nurse though, that's another story.

My friend liked her at first, but during treatment, she was having some abdominal pains and wondered about an ultrasound - she was worried about hyperstimulation. Dr. Austin said to wait. She waited, and the pain got worse, so she called and spoke to a nurse (Dr. Ausitn wouldn't return her calls). The nurse told her to come in. After the ultrasound, Dr. Austin YELLS at her, about her in the exam room AND the hallway! She was VERY witchy to my friend.
My friend switched to Dr. Goldberg (whom she liked, BTW), and she and her DH mentioned the incident with Dr. Austin, and the doctor did not seems surprised by it.
Obviously she does ok with some people, but my friend had questions, which were answered with contempt by Dr. Austin. I dn't know if that b/c she has a DD who has PCOS that she is the end all -be all of info on it, but not a good experience for my friend - AT ALL.
Good Luck with whatever yuo choose!

I saw dr austin with the cleveland clinic to get pg and absolutely loved her. she was very patient with all my questions and really helped me make an educated choice for treatment. I also hyperstimed and was treated by her. She really responded quickly to my concerns. I'm 12 weeks pg now b/c of her. She must have had a bad day with your friend, I didn't get negative feelings from her at all.

I see Dr. Mehta at the Clinic and think he is wonderful! His staff hold him in the same regard because we always joke the wait is so long but "he is SO worth it"!!!
