In a few weeks, I may be adding Clomid on top of my Metformin. I've read things in the past on here, but it's been a while.

Could you all give me more info on Clomid, and tips for taking while still living peacefully? I'm posting this to both med's and fertility boards.

Definitely do some research on the Clomid (sites such as http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/preconception/fertilityproblems/6186.html can offer some basic info), and talk to your doctors about the pros and cons...

When I took it the first time, it was before I was ever taking Metformin so the Clomid did nothing for me except give me giant painful cysts and feelings of emotional instability (like extreme pms). I later ended up taking Metformin and getting pregnant without any Clomid at all the first time.

For the second baby, I was taking Metformin, and ended up needing to take Clomid to help with my luteal phase progesterone deficiency, and for whatever reason it didn't seem to affect me too terribly at all. I got pregnant after 5 cycles of Clomid.

I would say that if you do decide to try Clomid, just try to arrange your lifestyle to reduce stress and do not demand too much of yourself in the months ahead, just in case you do feel the emotional effects. Try and surround yourself with positivity (people, activities, places, etc.), and be forgiving of yourself if you are extra tired, clumsy, weepy, etc. Or, you may feel completely fine on the Clomid, in which case it's still not a bad idea to arrange your life among peaceful and joyful surroundings! :)

I wish you the best!
