I just came across this site today while researching PCOS. I went off of BCP 3 yrs ago when I ended a relationship. Since then I have not had regular periods. I was told it may take some time to regulate since I was on the pill for about 12 years (i'm 31). So...after about 2 yrs by OB finally put me on Progesterone and after the 4th pill I got my period and it lasted just a couple days. I got one period after that. Lately it's been 4 months and I haven't gotten one. I went to see my Dr. again and she put me on Progesterone again. It took 12 days to get a period and then it lasted 2 days....She did some blood tests and she said the #'s were normal but there was one # (TH level I think) that she said was 3 times the amnt of what it should be. So I went in today for an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech said my ovaries were very large. She then did an internal ultrasound. I was asking a lot of questions and she said she can't say for sure, that I need to talk with my Dr. but from what she could tell I probably have PCOS. I don't know what to think or expect. I need to wait a week or so for results to talk with my Dr. Researching all of this online I see now I have a lot of symptoms, esp being overweight and having great difficulty in losing weight. I tried WW for 2.5 yrs and went up and down on the same 12 lbs. which is very frustrating. Just wondering if anyone can tell me what to expect since I'm pretty sure I have this.....will I ever be able to have kids?
Thanks.
Thanks.
