Question about medication...

I was diagnosed with diabetes and put on my new medicine but felt no change. I was off my medicine for about 3 days due to my doctor forgetting to call in my perscription and my sugars were fine. I don't want to take the medicine if I don't need it, but I was wondering what other medications I can be on for the PCOS. I can't take BCP because they make me bleed non-stop, and the metformin they put me on was horrible, not to gross everyone out but it gave me explosive diahrrea like water and it would not stop. So I was just curious what kinds of medication there are out there.

well you probably know this but i am going to shout it to you just in case. you know that one of the main problems with pcos is insulin resistance. the metformin regulates insulin and blood sugars which somehow helps to regulate other hormones in our bodies. and just so you will know- metformin gave me nightmare diarrhea and bloating for the first 2-3 weeks, but i can honestly say that it is much better now and i have been on it for a little over a month. however, i did not eat until after 12 today and for the first time, i got a little shaky until i got something to eat. i know that it increases insuling secreted by the liver but i haven/t had that happen to me the whole time i have been taking it! lol
