Hello all,
Well, I've finally given in and bought Rogaine, my last resort... I'm having trouble using it though - it gets all over my hair and makes it greasy and wet looking, worse than just thinning! Do any of the longtime Rogaine users have any advice on how/when to use it, and how to make your hair look normal afterward?
Thank you!

Angie--
When I used rogaine, I used it at night and then washed my hair in the shower the next morning. It worked well for me, and the dosing that I had with mine was once a day anyhow.
Don't know what strength or dosing you have, but if it would work to do it that way, give it a try! :)

i just bought the generic CVS version of the 2% - I couldn't find a stronger dose for women, is there one?
The box says to use it twice a day, but I've been doing it once before bed b/c of how messy it is.

You can use the rogaine for Men. My derm recommended that right off the bat because he said the women's did'nt work all that well. Just said to be careful not to get it on your forehead or you could grow some hair out of your forehead, but it works really well on women.

I find that when I apply it to my hair damp in the morning and then blow dry it, you can't tell it's in your hair anymore. It even gives the top a little boost of volume. At night when I put it on dry, it gets really sticky, but I just wash it when I get up the next morning anyway. Hope that helps :)

Hi Captain, I wonder how long have you been using it, and if you have noticed any improvement. I've heard that when you first start using rogaine you loose more hair. How long did that last with you? Is it true that you have to use it forever because as soon as you stop the shedding starts again?
