I've just started my 3rd AF since being put on Met and have noticed a change in the fact that I now have pms. I'm not TTC and have been on BCPs for years to regulate AF, which has its own mind if I'm not on BCPs. I always thought I was so lucky because I never had cramps or bloating and while on BCPs AF was very light. The last 3 visits from AF have been miserable. I'm tired, cranky, emotional, bloated and AF is much more heavy. On top of that for the last three months I've had a migraine hit about a week before I start.

Is this to be expected or should I call my doctor? I can live with it if its going to be my new norm, but I just wanted to know if any of you experienced this or thought it seems like something I should discuss with my doc.

you didn't mention if you're cramping during AF, but if you are, it's a GOOD thing. Cramping is the number 1 (non-bloodtested) sign of ovulation. It might be that your body is coming up with a new normal now that your insulin levels are coming under control. If so, cramping would be an indication of ovulation and the other symptoms suggest that your hormone levels are closer to that of a 'normal' (non-cyster) woman. :)

It probably wouldn't hurt to mention it to your doctor just as a way to monitor your progress.
