Hi Ladies,
I am almost officially diagnosed PCOS. I have had to do alot of my own research as my family practice dr kept blowing me off and trying to offer me antidepressants!! I've finally found an OB/GYN in Sterling based on word of mouth from a friend of mine. I have low FSH and LH so she has referred me to an endo. From my research it sounds like hypopituitarism or secondary ovarian failure. This may explain my constant headaches/migraines. My ultrasound showed a classic string of 'pearls' as well as thickened endometrium. I have to have a biopsy this Friday. I'm a little nervous, the possible cancer thing and all.
I have 4 kids so other than the possible cancer thing, I'm not too concerned, but I am excited about finally being on the right road to feeling better. I think I must have had this all along as I have had terrible acne since Jr. High which is only successfully treated with antibiotics.
I would love to meet anyone in the Valley area and compare notes, especially natural treatments anyone might be using, i.e. natural progesterone. I'm also trying to lose that stubborn tummy weight, so any success, encouragement stories in that area would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing from any of you. Laura
