so i have not been formally diagnosed with PCOS yet, but im pretty sure i have it... i have extremely irregular cycles: i have had three since i was 15, i am 17 now. and i have pretty bad acne, which i am treating with meds (blanking on the name though).
anyway, on to my question.... what are the possibilities of getting pregnant with PCOS? is it even possible? any information about this would be very helpful!!

Every case of PCOS is different. There are entire sections of these message boards designated to those who are trying to concieve or TTC, pregnancy and moms who all have PCOS. The good thing is that most cases are very treatable with either meds, diet, herbs, etc. I'm just guessing that since you are only 17 that you are not wanting to get pregnant? With your cycles being so irregular--only 3 in 2 years--you probably do not run a high risk of getting pregnant. That being said, it's always a good idea to use preventative measures while having sex. It may be hard for yout to get pregnant later, but there is always a chance that you could get pregnant now. So I wouldn't risk it too much. I am only 23 now, and I wasn't diagnosed with this until I was 21. I was always worried that I would get pregnant in college, not having a clue about this whole thing. It took us 17 months to concieve our baby girl. 12 months of trying on our own and 5 months after being diagnosed. I had to take estrogen, metformin, and clomid (help me ovulate).
Ok so I'm rambling on now :) It just depends on how serious of a case you have. If you haven't been to your Dr about it, now would be the best time to go. Getting it under control while you are young. That will help you out later when you are wanting to start a family--if that's what you want. I hope that answers your question.
